We went here for a light lunch followed by ice cream. So many flavours of ice cream , you can’t fail to find one that you will like . You can also order 6 scoop taster which is definitely a good idea if you want to sample a few different flavours, the amount served os more than enough . The lunch menu is also good if you are after a sandwich or soup etc. Prices were also very reasonable . Plenty Parking at the farm too . Staff were friendly.

This is a little off the beaten track but well worth your time. Delicious icecream with lots of choice and unusual flavours ( such as rhubarb and custard). They cater for gluten free diet too and vegetarian. Staff are lovely, it's very clean and bright. They also do light meals like chips and sandwiches too. We enjoyed our coffee and ice cream. Really good value too.

I’ve been going to Drummuir Farm since it first opened many years ago. I rated it as the best ice cream I have ever had. Unfortunately new owners have bought the business and the quality has went down hill rapidly. The ice cream tastes completely different and now tastes like the cheap mass produced ice cream you can buy in discount supermarkets. This sentiment seems to be widespread throughout Dumfries and the foot traffic has fallen drastically since. I wonder why!!! Such a shame as I really used to love this place.

It’s always nice to stop for ice cream, and this place has loads of options. Plenty of families visiting on a rare 21-degree Sunday when we were there. It’s not cheap, but the quality is good and service friendly. Some funny gift items as well. This stop is a bit out of the way, so make sure you’re hungry.

Having visited previously I knew what to expect. Tasty ice cream and relatively decent price point. Ordered two waffles and 2 coffees (lattes) had to remind the lady we had ordered coffee as she forgot to make and fetch over. Waffle and ice cream was delicious but while sat at table we looked at sauce sachets. Lots well past best date- even the mayonnaise.

Went for lunch today, ordered 2BLT’s and a bacon roll Was asked twice if we wanted white or brown bread for BLT’s but said both times we wanted rolls ,the young lady who served us seemed very unsure When our lunch came the BLT’s were on white bread not rolls, the bread was soggy, the bacon cold and there was half a cherry tomato on each and a small amount of lettuce. The bacon roll was good We then had ice cream, which although nice the portion looked small as two of us received ours in a medium sized tub but the third was in a small tub so the servings looked uneven,if indeed the scoop sizes were the same We didn’t say anything at the time as we felt a bit sorry for the young lady who served us as she seemed out of her depth It was disappointing and not cheap

Over the years we have been many times in a summer season to Drummuir, the ice cream in my opinion is way better than the other competitor in Dumfries and Galloway. Today we ventured there again in the sweltering heat for our weekly treat, we opted for banana splits which were absolutely delicious and worth every penny, the cherry ice cream here is to die for so I had a cheeky cone for the way home also. We were saddened to hear that this will the last year that we will be able to indulge at Drummuir so we wish you all the best for the future and thank you for years of fantastic ice cream and service.

i visited drummuir today as i have done since it opened and sadly due to who i believe us the owner of the premises it will be the final time. After spending £26 on ice cream she confronted my family i front of a packed playground to accuse us of not paying the entry to the park and for entering the wrong way. Needless to say i informed her that indeed we had both paid and entered correctly and i was spoken to in a rude and unprofessional manner. In fact after she left our table three families came over to say how rude she had been. She left us feeling like we had done something wrong and spoiled what should have been a lovely day!

We stopped by on the last Wednesday of the Eat out to Help Out thing expecting it to be busy but we're pleasantly surprised that there were enough tables inside to seat our party of 11 quite happily. We ordered lunches (sandwiches, paninis etc) and then ice creams for everyone. A very good selection of delicious ice creams and sundaes were enjoyed by all and we had no complaints whatsoever. We will certainly be returning on our next trip to Scotland.

Lovely place, close to home and friendly staff Just unfortunate that they only do one Dairy Free flavour of ice-cream which is Vanilla ( or a sorbet ) - to imply that Vegans or Lactose intolerance people have the most bland tastebuds.. Would have been nice to try one of the many other lovely flavours that they had.

We often visit family in the Dumfries area and whilst visiting late last year we where recommended this wonderful farm. Firstly it is a must visit if you love ice cream, the selection is fantastic with multiple flavours and toppings available. You can also get coffee and cakes too if your not a fan of ice cream. We visited on a fairly warm day so was able to sit outside where there is a small park area for the children to play on, it isn't huge but my little one spent a good hour playing. You could visit this place on a cold rainy day, ice cream tastes amazing in any weather I personally think. Facilities are good, toilets are clean. There is plenty of parking, even on a busy afternoon. No doubt I'll be back very soon.

I popped in to pick up some icecream as i heard so much about how nice it was. The icecream was nice but nothing really outstanding, but this could be down to personal taste. What did let down the experience was the rude staff member that served me. The cafe is spacious and clean with big windows to admire the view, there is an outdoor play area and an a smaller indoor one too. There is also a small shop area showcasing local eggs, jams and chutneys, confectionary. The food is freshly prepared and very very good. Was especially impressed with the soup obviously homemade and more like a stew, absolutely fabulous. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. My son had chocolate, and my husband and I had creme caramel (or brûlée can't quite remember which) but both were delicious! And portions were fab too!! You can mix flavours if you wanted too if you wanted to. Three two scoop ice creams in waffle cones was just under a tenner, which was very good value, I just wished I lived nearer so I could go back and buy some different flavours!! Love going here it's a great treat. Lovely staff, nice and clean. Loads of ice cream flavours to choose from and different cones to eat them from. Well worth a visit.

Called in with my family last week and has various ice creams and they were all delicious. Only down side was that we had to wait 30 minutes to get served as it was so busy

We decided to try this place after seeing a leaflet for it. We went on a chilly, windy day and we had dogs with us but there was plenty of room to sit outside with them. The ice cream is very tasty and there are a few unsusual flavours. I had kiwi/ coconut which was a new flavour to me. My mum had cherry cola which I tried and it was lovely. Yum! There is a children's playground which I'm sure would be popular with the kids!

Took our children here today (have previously visited), the kids had fun in the indoor and outdoor play areas. We ordered the children ice cream and ourselves hot drinks, no problems there. I ordered myself a salad bowl for just under £6, but asked for a side order of baked beans, to be told the beans would cost an additional £1.60! God knows why they think a small dish of beans should cost £1.60. I asked the member of staff if that was just for beans, to be told 'yes, it's quite expensive'. No kidding. I think they needed to get their prices sorted, no way should it cost that much. It may sound like a trivial matter, but it has put me going in future.

We visited Drummuir on 19th March 2016, it was our 5th visit and yet again we left with the feeling that we want to go back as soon as possible. This time we visited as part of our sons birthday celebrations. Before our ice cream we had lunch which was cooked and delivered extremely promptly and to the usual high standards. The staff were friendly and seemed happy, the food was of a superb quality and yet again Drummuir Farm excelled themselves. The play area has had a makeover since our last visit, the new play equipment is great and kept the kids amused for a good while, overall one cannot recommend Drummuir highly enough.

We've been coming to Drummuir for years and unfortunately we were massively disappointed. It's not always the cleanest but we have just had to accept this. Tables and highchairs often sticky etc. Also, toilet hygiene is something which isn't ideal here. Instead of soap from soap dispensers, there are bars of soap offered, it is something I feel is not hygienic. We ordered a chicken and tomato toastie. Because we are gluten free we were charged an extra 50p. I have never been anywhere as yet which has charged extra because you have an intolerance! Because we wanted tomato we were charged a further 50p it also turns out that because it wasn't a sandwich and a toastie instead, we were charged yet again another 50p. All in all £5.75 for a toastie in a place which is hardly spectacular is rather ridiculous. An extra 50p and we could be in a clean restaurant with portion sizes much larger. When we got our toastie it was also disappointing to see that our 50p didn't go very far - two and a half slices of tomato. Tables are very cramped and have to disturb other people most of the time to get to your seat. The prices for ice cream are extremely reasonable but unfortunately we will not be eating lunch here again as it really is not worth the money. Staff are lovely and very willing to help in any situation.

A lovely warm welcome from the Lady serving us and so far the best breakfast I have ever had in Scotland (and I've had a few). Cafe is spotlessly clean and prices are fair, well worth a visit in my honest opinion.

This cafe served the worst scone I have ever had / didn't have. (and that's saying something as I'm in my 70s and have had a few in my time. You could build a house with a few of them. Inedible expensive rubbish. It came in a paper bag, no plate and a wooden disposable knife which struggled to cut it. The coffee was served in a paper cup. But was drinkable. Cost over £13 for two coffees and two inedible scones. I am disgusted and will definitely won't be back

Visited the Frothy this morning for the first & very last time as the cafe is closing. Whilst the cafe was comfortable the coffee wasn’t the best ever tasted and we were stunned at the price! Compared to other coffee houses close by it was surprising; could this be a reason they are not finding it profitable?
