I love the Lochaber Café. Everyone's so friendly, and the service is really quick. I usually go for the Breakfast Roll, but all the breakfasts are great and served hot, unlike many caffs. Eggs and bacon were served well cooked and to [everyone's different] tastes. Most other dishes I've tried are good too. Coffee's excellent, never bitter so you know it's made properly and the machines are kept clean. Good selection of sweet treats, but I can rarely see past the Raspberry Coconut Cake. In a town where poorer and more expensive eateries come and go at a dismaying rate, the Lochaber Café is a constant and reassuring presence.

Loved this bar/restaurant for years and was looking forward to visiting it again with friends this time too. But they've stopped doing food which was disappointing as it was always lovely and a good start to the night. We still had lots of fun in the bar and music was fab. Would be 5 stars if they had been doing food 😁👍

the rooms are clean, but the price list for the restaurant is cheaper in the room, if you want to sit directly in the restaurant, the food is more expensive. The cheaper price list only applies to takeaway. If you are a hotel guest, you are disappointed.

The staff make this otherwise average hotel... The nice wee lassie on reception to the 2 bar lads were 1st class. The evening meal was good enough... though expensive.. The noise in the room during the night was substantial.. ( someone singing?) beds were comfortable enough. no spoons for morning tea in the room

Outstanding quality of the freshest sea food produce cooked to an exceptionaly high standard. Great array of wines, spirits and ale's along with a full genuine hearty welcome from the staff + owners.."ooh la laa" with cherrys on top. Marvellous experience highly recommended for familys , freinds or just a nice solo evening..WELL DONE to the new owners "BRAVO".

Unfortunately it seems to have gone downhill and isn't a patch on the place it used to be. Drinking chocolate now served in a paper cup which means any sense of decadence and luxuriousness is lost. I understand that this may have helped out during COVID, but we're past that now and when you're spending the best part of £5 on a drink I don't it's too much to expect a proper cup. Despite visiting on a very quiet day, the table we sat at was dirty - it had been cleared but in no way had it been cleaned. Such a shame really - a very disappointing experience and I doubt I'll be going back.

This place says its open 12 noon to 11pm. It isn't. We drove for 90mins to get there. A waste of time and money. They can't be bothered to update Google, their own website , or even the hours displayed outside their own door. I find that annoying as well as disrespectful

As we were staying nearby we thought that we would try here as the menu is a little more exciting than the usual pub lunch. It’s a small, welcoming place. Dogs are welcome in the bar. I had risotto whilst my husband had the steak and ale pie. It was all cooked well and tasted delicious. The service was excellent. If we were staying longer we would certainly go back again.
