TLDR - food is way overpriced, service is unacceptable slow, just go to the Tesco cafe or find somewhere else. Ordered a wrap with eggs and sausage and a salmon and egg bagel with cheese and a can of juice. Took 55 minutes for the order and was £20. The food is ok but overpriced and for some reason everything has rocket put through it, you can get just as just as good from anywhere else at 1/3 the price. The menu doesn’t show prices for most things and the selection for the breakfast rolls/wraps is shown as “from £3.50” what they mean is £3.50 for every topping you add, want a slice of cheese? That’s £3.50. No table service which isn’t great when it’s premium prices. Only one toilet so expect to wait for that. There’s not much competition near by which I imagine is how the place still does well. The place knows what it’s doing, the menu is on a chalk board behind the serving area, as I said there’s lots of prices not listed or left vague, you’ll glance over this because your stuck standing reading it in front of everyone, you’ll want your glasses as well if you have them as everything is written very small. You pay after you’ve eaten as well so when they surprise you with the total you’re stuck with it.

Food was nice but expensive. The lady serving us was not very pleasant didnt seem like she wanted us there. Didn't even ask if we wanted any drinks. Had our baby daughter with us was not offered a high chair for here had to ask.

We had breakfast with the bed and breakfast formula while staying in a room at The Lerwick Hotel. Continental buffet breakfast and hot food and drinks on request. It could have been better. However, dinner was very good. Friendly waiters and fast service.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and had a fantastic time! Although we didn’t make a reservation and were initially unsure if this was the right choice, the quality and taste of the food quickly won us over. Everything was delicious, and we were especially impressed by the Drunken Coconut Pie—a delightful dessert that’s not overly sweet, crustless, and packed with fresh shredded coconut, served with a rich rum caramel sauce. Beyond the amazing food, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The cozy setting, which wasn’t overcrowded, allowed us to enjoy a pleasant conversation without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff, from the servers to the front counter employees, making our experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for a memorable and relaxing dining experience!

We have visited this campsite twice now in our van and its great. Fantastic location (no signal which is bliss) and beautiful views along the beach and of the Sgurr. The team onsite are so lovely, the cafe is well stocked and the coffee and pastries in the morning are just the ticket. Showers are great, clean and tidy, as are pot wash and tumble drying areas. Make sure you bring some £1 coins would be my tip! Highly recommend, just watch the road down as it is pretty battered by all the people visiting the Fairy Pools!

We are fairly regular visitors to Threaplands and have never been disappointed. Threaplands is located four miles east of Elgin beside the A96. The restaurant is located within the main Garden Centre building and is spacious and has a very attractive appearance. There is a good range of dining options, soup and sandwich deals, and there are gluten-free options. Prices were reasonable, and all the staff we met very friendly and helpful. Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and are already planning a return visit in a couple of months
