Top choice for Scottish food. We received a very friendly welcome and were always well served.

Been years since I was last here but Google is determined that I need to review the place. Well, it's shut down.

Pricey for the basics, very 'Still Game'

Sad to see this place close. Hope it can be taken over and live up to its predecessor.

Amazingly tasty food, huge portions and great service from the team.

The food was delicious and very good value for money. The staff were really friendly and happy to help. And we didn't have to wait long. We enjoyed it so much we returned the following day.

The food is very good, the best in Scotland. Abundant and tasty dishes.

Doesn’t look much from the outside but food good, friendly staff & very large food portions. I struggled to eat 1/2 a portion of my macaroni & my husband had chicken goujons which were really huge. The food was lovely & well presented

Has to be the best stake pie in Inverness so much food on the plate even big eater’s will struggle well worth the visit will be back next time in Inverness

We were not sure where we were going to eat lunch after our trip to Culloden. We did a quick search and found the Inn. By the outside I was not sure but the inside is very nice. The food was very good and a lot of it.

Tonight’s ‘crunchie’ cheesecake is quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Staff wonderful and nothing was too much trouble.

Didn’t get a chance to eat. Dog owners beware, that only the bar is dog friendly (not the restaurant) and doesn’t open until 3pm

We appreciated the ambience, the quality of the food, and the size of the portions. There was a slight misunderstanding involving the lasagna and we insisted on paying for it, but they insisted on not charging us. That is class. When visiting Culloden Battlefield, be sure to make this a stop on your trip.

The food is super and there is LOADS of it. Really great portions. I couldn't finish mine, and that is saying something. If you want to go out for a big meal. This is your spot. Tiny detail, the onion rings side was fresh made. So many places use frozen, and i really appreciated this detail. Staff serving all very nice. Great place. Will be back.

Very good food (in large portions) and excellent service.

Plenty parking, quick service by attentive staff. Menu was substantial but not very appealing. Definitely not as good as it used to be. The portions were massive as usual and fairly priced. The only thing that let it down was the cleanliness. The seats and floor area especially around the edges looked as if they had not been cleaned for a good while. On saying that we shall return at some stage

We had two American ladies sitting at the next table and they sum up it perfectly, American sized portions and how right they were I've been to the states and yes portions are large .Food was cooked lovely as usual. The starters look like main courses and I even had to ask for a box to take some of my main home .The crunchie cheesecake was so so good and a large portion .The staff were very busy but we were served in good time and not rushed at all .Thank you guys .

Cold food plate was freezing not good when serving a Sunday roast. Uncooked veg, couldn't even cut with knife

We visited the Culloden Moor Inn for dinner and were thoroughly impressed! The decor was really nice and warming, and we were served promptly. We had the haggis bonbons, the beer battered fish and chips and the scampi. The portions were very large, very affordable and satisfying, thus making excellent value for money. The highlight was the beer batter on the fish, crisp on the outside and soft in the inside, making the fish and chips extremely delicious! We didn't have room for dessert, but we'll certainly come back to try their homemade cheesecakes! My partner and I always appreceate large portions and will definitely come back for seconds!!! Highly recommended!

Service was good and you get plenty of food for your money. The main courses are that big you might be struggling if you have a starter and dessert.

As ever a splendid meal at a reasonable price with lovely helpful staff serving.

An okay pub with a reasonable selection of beer and food. Can't say I enjoyed the slaw or the baguette sandwich. Slaw was mostly mayonnaise and the sandwich bread was soaked in butter ... hands were sticky afterwards. Waitresses were nice and prompt. Beer selection was fine. No Cask.

Good drafted Beer, good meal, good location and friendly waitresses. Very cozy. I chose Haggies Bon Bons and Cheddar Garlic Bread - very nice 👌 if i could i wouldt come back😋

Great comfort food!! They were super busy and packed because today is Mother’s Day in Scotland and they were able to sit us at the bar and the meal was delicious. The meat pie is a must. Nice selection of draft beers! The 1664 is always a safe and refreshing choice. All four meals were a hit.

Delicious food and great service. We had a delightful lunch. For starters we had the Chicken Goujons and the Garlic Mushrooms. Our main course i had the BBQ Chicken Melt with coleslaw, salad and chips, Lasagne, Steak Pie, Breaded Chicken Goujons, and Breaded Scampi. We had dessert Cheesecake and Toffee Pudding with ice cream.

Be Carefully and check your bill was overcharged 9-15 pds it is cheaper to purchase on the special board that the Xmas menu Place was very cold Food was good but service very poor young staff with no management on duty . Spoke to a manager and refund sorted

Moor Inn seemed a bit out of the way yet was full to the brim so it's very popular ...well worth a visit if you're up that way ..Will visit again ....

Meals were ok 2 x scampi and 1 x steak pie, they seem to be relying on portion size to keep folk happy, stew lacked seasoning and puff baked separately , veg tasteless, the worst was being charged £2.30 for a price marked can of Diet Coke which was marked at 75p, no need for such greed. Would not rush back.

Just had dinner at the inn and found it satisfactory large portions of scampi, big amount of steak in steak pie sadly pastry was baked separately and placed on top the real downside was the fact that we were charged £2.30 for a tin of Diet Coke which was served in a price marked can marked 75p. This I find disgraceful and unnecessary.

We stopped here with Happy Tours on our Highland tour and the food was excellent. Service was polite, patient, and helpful. I got the steak pie and enjoyed every bite. The flaky pie crust was cooked to perfection and wasn’t soggy at all. The steak itself was cooked just right and the sauce was very tasty. My mother enjoyed the chicken goujans. I highly recommend stopping here if you are looking to grab a bite before or after heading over to the battlefield or Clava Cairns- it’s very close to both and has good food and great service. Thanks for the excellent meal!

When we went to the Culloden Moor Inn I have to admit I was expecting much. The outside doesn’t give any hint at how good the restaurant is. The food was really tasty, well cooked and VERY generous portions. It is all served brilliantly by the team and the price represents great value for money. We’ll definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing food! Couldn’t fault it in anyway… Huge portions so much that we got a takeway box to save waste and had the rest the next day! We went for nachos to start and shared between two The fajitas were amazing so fresh, soo much chicken. Side bowls of salsa sour cream cheese and guacamole which is great Staff were really nice and food didn’t take long to arrive. Can’t wait to return!

We visited the restaurant after recommendation from friends who live in inverness. The food was excellent. The personnel very helpful and kind. The environment was cozy. I will revisit for sure

Large portions of well cooked food. The outside however is off-putting as it's a mess.

Not as good as it used to be. Much reduced menu and though the portions are big I found it all very greasy and there was lots of air between the batter and the fish. Apparently the chicken curry was good though hence the three stars.

Regular hearty pub food at a convenient venue near the Culloden Battlefield. Would definitely recommend a short stop for refill.

Aangezien er nauwelijks een restaurant in de buurt van Culloden is hebben we bij dit restaurant gegeten. Aan de buitenkant ziet het er niet uit en omdat we niet gereserveerd hadden was er binnen geen plek. Als je niet verder naar de plek kijkt is het eten hier goed, vooral de fish en chips.

Van buiten lijkt het helemaal niks. Als ik geen tip had gehad van iemand dan was ik er zeker niet naar binnen gegaan. Binnen is het echter prima ingericht en het eten is er meer dan prima. Ik zou er zo weer gaan eten. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is goed.

Hier kann man einen schönen Abend verbringen und wird mit sehr gutem Essen verwöhnt. Die Angestellten sind super nett! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

This place doesn't look like much from the road but it's huge with plenty of parking, a lovely garden area with a sheltered area. The food was great, staff attentive and helpful and the portions were huge.

The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The ambiance is simple rather than sophisticated, suitable for families with children. The food is freshly prepared and hearty. Be aware, the portions are extremely generous! I had just the marinated beef salad (no starter) and couldn't finish it. I believe one can ask for a 'child's' portion, which is still a very good quantity.

If you are staying in Culloden this may be the only place opened for lunch/dinner. Don't get me wrong, as the quality of the food and the service haven't been affected for the low competition. We ordered battered haddock and spicy beef salad. Although it was not too spicy at all, the flavour was perfect. I will also recommend to order the nachos as starter! Please, check that the kitchen closes at 20.00

we were staying in the local village to popped in for dinner on a sat nights,the place was bigger than it looked from the outside, there were 4 of us and all had different starters and main meals, i cant fault the food on any of the courses and the portion sizes were large no one finished all the main course there was a reasonable selection of food to choose from, would stop in again if i was up that way again

Disgusting! I asked for spicy beef salad, nothing like that, the steak is tough and with taste of duck, they use plum sauce. My kid have macaroni cheese and not good too. Never come back!

Aunque desde la carretera no llama la atención, entramos antes de ver el campo de batalla de Culloden porque nos pillaba cerca. Creo que ha sido el.mejor sitio de Escocia donde hemos comido un menú con sopa del día y un bocadillo de baguette. Sin duda lo recomiendo!!!

Ordered the salad and it came out with no dressing and did not offer an alternative. Front of house staff provided no compensation and we were disappointed with the customer service.

If you've been out in the wind at Culloden battlefield or on a walk down to the clava cairns, the steak pie here is the cure for your chills. Generous portions, family friendly.

Four of us with two dogs went for dinner on friday night & sat in the pub section which is dog friendly. All of our meals were delicious & the portions were huge. Great value for money. We were not sure what to expect having read the reviews but we would recommend!

This was my first visit but I do hope it won’t be the last. Lovely food and excellent service. The stick toffee pudding was the best I’ve ever tasted and, believe me, I’ve tasted my fair share!!

Looks a bit rough on the outside. But Very nice inside. The service was very good. The food was very nice as well. Nothing too fancy and plenty of it. Great place to go if your hungry.

Busy dining pub with lot of outdoor seating area, great for nice weather

We ate here on Tuesday evening as we were staying locally and it was recommended by our host who said not to take any notice of the exterior of the pub. Admittedly, without the recommendation, we probably would have been put off by the appearance of the place. But the welcome was warm, the food was good honest pub grub and plenty of it. Our servers, Rachel, Kirsty and Adam were so friendly and helpful. Do not be put off by outside appearances or you will miss out on good Scottish hospitality!!

Food as always was delicious and good portion size. Good choices on the menu at reasonable prices.
