Disappointed on our last visit. Used to be a favourite but we had to request both the drinks and the soup to be heated up as they were served tepid. Will now have to find somewhere else more reliable

A great spot for lunch, cocktails, or a place to warm up with a sweet treat and coffee while you wait on your train. We have been returning for years with friends and colleagues and we always have a great experience with the staff. I've atte ded for weddings and events too and it's always a great service.

Went for a pub quiz. Good selection of beers, the food was good and fairly priced. Not too busy which was nice but it was mid week. Will be back

I have been to this restaurant on several occasions with friends. It never fails to impress with lovely food and staff who are so nice and attentive. Kerrie and Adelaide have often served us and they are just amazing. They are always happy, humorous and friendly, and go out of their way to make your evening a special experience. Kerrie and Adelaide deserve at least 5 out of 5***** for their efforts. (TOP GIRLS) I think they deserve a raise, you are lucky to have them.

Went here for a good game of interactive darts, with a few associates, great bitter, won every game, hit a 9 darter, Mortz couldn’t handle smoke.

I came to The Drake for a roast lunch 3 years ago and I had a five star experience. Two American friends are currently visiting so we drove from Largs for lunch yesterday (3/3) as they specifically wanted a roast as it is harder to get in Philadelphia where they live. Some parts were great, some good, and some not so good:- Service - Excellent throughout and provided so much help with my friend who is Gluten-free. They went over and above to accommodate her needs. Atmosphere - Comfortable, warm, friendly and clean Food - Roast beef, delicious but there wasn't enough. Two slices folded over to make look like four slices. Roast potatoes, overcooked and dry. Yorkshire pudding, tiny and awful. Clearly a frozen supermarket pudding. Arrived 5 minutes after the beef. Greens, delicious but also arrived five minutes after the beef. Delivered in two dishes for the three of us. Very odd. We asked for an explanation and got one but it still seemed a bit odd. Gravy, delicious. I wish I’d taken them somewhere else, even nearer home, as a fifty mile round trip really wasn’t worth it. I gave a generous tip which was really for the service, not the food. I hope my comments are taken constructively to help improve the customer experience.

This spot is stunning to sit and eat/drink. We were greeted by Paula who was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Atmosphere was nice and constantly kept busy. This review is only based on the afternoon tea and no reflection on the staff who were all lovely. We were in to have the gin afternoon tea with high ecxpectations due to it being in radison red. However portion was very small and felt as if they were trying to hard with the choices on the board instead of keeping it classic. No1 overly liked the choice of sweet from tasteless jelly to random smoothie drink that looked better than It tasted. The savourily selection was lacking and the choice to use a Boa bun instead of a sandwich was not for us. There also was a spoon with a tastless couscous and salmon, which again was a waste of choice for savoury and required taste. The previous week I visited the radison blue which was fantastic, with a large table for savoury and another table for sweet. You were able to pick your own so for savoury or sweet only eaters you actually got a nice ammount and a choice with classic selections of finger foods. This was a winner and ashame radison red was so disappointing. We were all too polite to say it wasn’t nice so smiled and ordered a hot drink before leaving.

Fantastic place can't wait to go back. The staff work so hard and are very pleasant with an atmosphere that keeps you smiling,now creating a french cafe with light lunches and cake served with ground coffee and soft music perfect for a relaxing few hours.

Served by Darcey who was an absolute joy. Nothing was too much bother and she constantly checked to make sure we were OK and if we needed anything else. Food came quickly and was yummy. Very friendly atmosphere. No complaints 👌
