Excellent service from Darcey who was so friendly and attentive, atmosphere is great and food was lovely definitely recommend!

Ordered drinks then when we went to order food we were then told no pizza no grill food so we were not left with much to choose from. We were then sitting for over an hour before we got our meals. One hot dog came out with everything on it we ordered a plain one, they did get another one. I don’t think we will be back Was really disappointed.

Probably the worst food we had on the island. We had zucchini and breaded eggplant drowned in oil and a very dry mousse. I can't say it excels in service either. Sorry, but we didn’t find the experience pleasant and the food was not good at all compared to other places on the island.

Food was lovely tonight no complaints at all and service from Darcey was amazing, couldn’t of asked for better service and so quick!

We came in for food with our family and a table of 10 our server Darcey couldn't do any more for us and was the best ,food also was great and desserts are amazing 100% will be back!

We moved to the surrounding estate in 2016 and used to visit regularly until covid. Nice place to get something to eat and few beers. Rediscovered the place around 8-9 months ago. The place has a whole different atmosphere with the introduction of a dart board and a pool table. The Euros during the summer were class. Much more of pub environment Socially interfacing with others. Made a few new friends due to this. I will class myself as a regular now. Excellent friendly staff👍 Graham (BUD)

We came for a family meal and soon as we came through the door we where greated immediately by the lovely Cath,We have came a few times and you always get Cath the same way so bubbly and friendly and she cares. This girl is a keeper please don’t lose her old plane tree!

I'm not usually one for leaving reviews but have to give credit where it is due. First time having a meal in Old Plane Tree and was delighted with my overall experience, as a family of 7 with 5 young picky eaters the kids menu was a real good hit with my kids, and very well priced which is always a bonus, we were served by a lovely lady called Cath and nothing was a bother very helpful and always had a smile on her face. Great customer service goes a long we will definitely be back. Thank you.

A lovely meal out with friends, a party of six. Great service at the bar and at the table. Tasty food, with slight adjustment requests agreed and largely adhered to. A big improvement overall on our previous visit.

A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and there is no pressure on you to rush your food so there is plenty of time to have a chat with your friends or family while you are in the Old Plane Tree

Many thanks to Cathy and her staff for their help in organising a funeral tea I booked with them to celebrate the life of my late uncle, they provided a lovely buffet for us and a special mention to the young member of staff, I think her name was Gemma who went out of her way to make sure everything ran smoothly, thanks again guys x

Great family restaurant with delicious food, a warm, wonderful atmosphere and fantastic staff that couldn’t do enough for us, especially Cath, who helped guide us thru the menu with our food allergies. Very clean & modern too! It was our first visit and we’ll definitely back!

First time and it won’t be my last! Great service and banter with staff. I really enjoyed my meal and the staff were fab with my daughter who is fussy but she loved her food. Would highly recommend and we can’t wait to go back. Cath and Jenna were so friendly and I can’t thank them enough for how they helped us.

You cannot beat a bit of the old plane tree. It's slowly but surely became our local for an impromptu family meal, or a birthday celebration. Being brutally honest, the food isn't mouth wateringly amazing. It is decent, but the place is local, reasonably priced, and majority of the staff are on point. Jena in particular. Nothings ever two much trouble, she's brilliant with the kids, and even when you can tell she's under pressure and stress, she still manages to shine. Well done. 👏🏽

There was a piece of a plastic found in one of the pieces of scampi. It looks like it could have come from the factory. Apart from that Jena was a delight.

Didn't even get in the door! Arrived to an empty car park and went into the restaurant where only a couple of people were sat, girl behind bar asked us to wait at the door and she'd be two minutes. She then continued serving those who were at the bar and left us standing at the door. After 10 minutes we left, will not be back!

Our waitress Darcey was superb. Friendly and happy looking after us. Nothing was a problem for her. She helped us with the menu also and relayed our wishes to the chef which resulted in a superb steak. I hope next time we come, whe are fortunate enough to be looked after by her again.

We arrived at 7pm and were met by a woman, who was pleasant enough but could have smiled a little more, and seated us at a table for 6, although there was only 4 of us. We waited about 10 mts before someone came over to take our order. We ordered drinks and food. The food was very good and hot. We then advised that we would have a short break and then order a dessert. Well we waited … and waited … waited. After an hour, I went to find the waitress to see there was nobody at the bar as they were all in the kitchen and appeared to simply be chatting. I eventually found someone and said we would like to order dessert and she said "give me a couple of minutes". Again, we waited … and waited … and waited. Eventually about 9pm, some 2 hours after we had initially entered the place, someone came over and told us that the kitchen was closed. All in all, the change in management has not been a good change.

Food was absolutely tasteless. 6 adults out for lunch and not one of the meals were good. I had the cheese, potato and leek pie. There was no taste to it. It was covered in an equally tasteless gravy. We had to ask twice for cutlery. One of our party actually went back indoors the second time we asked and brought us out the cutlery herself. 10 mins it took for cutlery to be given. We all had chips so we ate them while waiting. Disgraceful service, discusting bland tasteless food and had nerve to charge us £78. We should have went to McDonalds instead. We will never be back. I gave 2 stars because the weather was lovely and we all enjoyed sitting outside, but that's all the Old Plane Tree had to offer.

Over priced for very underwhelming food. Out of the 6 adults, 2 of them said their baguettes were ok.. had the donner meat kebab, overcooked and bland. Had to go ask for cutlery twice as meals were served without! Nice outside seating area, would return for drinks but would not eat there again.

Have a fantastic day at the pub. The new manager has made a massive impact on the service, and uality of food and has really embraced the local community. The team a.friendly, helpful, and hardworking. We are in weekly for food and have seen a massive change in the daily running. Food good and we have had a few family gathering. Well worth giving a visit.

If you aren't going here for food or drinks your making a mistake, not only do the chefs perfect every meal they cook, but the front of house staff always perfect every drink, the waiting team are very friendly not only that but manager is friendly aswell.

The food was absolutely delicious, and I was very happy that I had several pudding options despite lactose intolerance. I bought a pint and a drink, a starter (deliciously rich tomato soup with a lovely touch of herbs), a mains (gammon steak with chips and the red wine sauce) and a pudding (chocolate cake with ice cream). All the food was superb, and I particularly loved how I could taste the grilling of the steak and how they had lovingly added lots of chocolate sauce on the side for the cake. Service was slow and varied: one seemed less interested, though friendly and helpful; one was all smiles; another one was quick, despite seeming a bit out of their place. The music was a bit tiring, but I was at a pub, so I suppose that is to be expected. I find that asking for a tip through machine is unfortunate. For one, we know that countries (USA) where tipping is to be expected, do not pay their staff well. But what bugs me even more about it, is that you almost always (as was the case here) get asked to add a tip when paying by card, but rarely when paying in cash. When you spend upwards of £30 in one sitting (one person), that is in my opinion rather unfortunate. It is even more unfortunate that it is done underhanded in this way. Tipping should be entirely voluntary, and not a forced decision.

Anne was extremely good as a hostess and very engaging. Would definitely come back as the food was good and service quick and friendly.

Cath to the rescue!!!! We were a little disappointed at the start of our meal due to a couple of mistakes but after a chat with the Manager who has amazing customer service everything was cleared up and we were well looked after. Turning frowns upside down. Food was good and thanks to Cath we will definitely be back.
