Reservamos aquí para mis madres 60 el sábado. Teniendo en cuenta que había un gran número de nosotros fue realmente bien. Opiniones mixtas sobre la comida, pero en general estaba bien. A mi pequeño le encantaba jugar con la sección de niños dentro y el parque de juegos fuera. Los servidores eran encantadores 🥰 Gracias por una experiencia positiva 😍

I booked a few tables in the bar area, to celebrate 🥳 my 60th Birthday on Saturday evening. We were allowed in beforehand to put the decorations and balloons up. Halfway through the evening I ordered pizza and sharers/chips for my guests, which we all enjoyed immensely, the food arrived very quickly, hot and delicious. I wouldn't hesitate on booking this place for any other event I may be having. The staff were all very helpful and friendly throughout the evening, it was a great night, had by all. Well done 👏 from a very satisfied customer.

Nos permitieron entrar unas horas antes para decorar la zona que se nos había reservado. Durante la noche pedimos una selección de compartidores y pizza de la cocina, llegó pronto, y muy sabroso, que cayó bien con mis invitados. No dudaría en reservar con este restaurante de nuevo. Came in today, after a phone call to ask about a dietary requirement. Was dealing with Mitchell. 1st class service. Was shown to a quieter area with the party I was with. Needed a G/free menu and boy did we get one. A very good selection of food, and also on main menu. Service was great, atmosphere was really nice, throw back tunes loved that. Food was lovely and great amount and prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back Brenda

Came in for lunch today was served, by the duty manager mitchell, who let me know what events are currently on in the pub and helping me book in for a still game quiz this saturday! I had the mac and cheese was such a generous portion, and came out piping hot, thanks again team OPT.

I ARRIVED AT 6:30 ORDER TAKEN BY 6:40 FOR DRINKS OFFERED TO GIVE OUR FOOD ORDER BUT THEY JUST TOOK THE DRINK ORDER WAITED A WHILE PUT FOOD ORDER IN BY 7:30 STILL NEVER HAD OUR FOOD FOOD CAME 7:35 I HAD ORDERED 2 STEAK A ND ALE PIES WHICH HAD OBVIOUSLY BEEN HEATED UP IN A MICROWAVE AS THE PASTRY WAS SOGGY PEAS WERE COLS AS WAS THE ONION RINGS I ORDERED MANAGER OFFERED TO EXCHANGE IT BUT I WAS WITH SOMEONE WITH DISABILITY WHO WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY HIS FOOD WAS BEING TAKEN AWAY I DID RETURN MINE THOUGH AND CHOSE SOMETHING ELSE I REALLY DON'T THINK THIS IS ACCEPTABLE TO BE WAITING THAT LENGTH OF TIME FOR FOOD I WOULD UNDERSTAND IF THE PLACE WAS REALLY BUSY BUT THERE WERE 3 PEOPLE IN FRONT OF US WAITNG ON THERE ORDER THE MANAGER DID APOLOGISE AND REDUCED THE BILL BUT I WOULD HAVE PREFERED TO PAY IN FULL FOR A NICE MEAL

Went to the Easter party and it was great, food was good, loads of entertainment for the kids. the staff are so friendly especially, cath, mairead, eilidh and darcey. will be back x

Went here on mother's day for a work colleague leaving got to say place looks lovely inside and out, BUT food is questionable got nachos for starters but no cheese on them got taken away came back with cheese then couple mins later my Mac and cheese came out so nachos left to go soggy not worth £9.99, Mac and cheese was lovely, asked for fresh orange and lemonade got draught orange told it was fresh orange until I eventually got fresh orange BIG difference, also sweetcorn cob frozen not cold still frozen, ice cream tasted like washing up liquid in it 🤮 also nephew got garlic mayo dropped all over his trainers ok was an accident by server but still happened also he said his hot dog tasted disgusting, girl wee were there for got a cocktail same one but totally different on both orders. Think it was the manager she left poor young guy to deal with our bill and complaints. NO discount for poor food or anything over £200 pound spent. Lovely place but wee won't be back again or recommend this place 🤔☹️

A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and there is no pressure on you to rush your food so there is plenty of time to have a chat with your friends or family while you are in the Old Plane Tree

We take my father in law for a pint every week and the welcome and service we receive is excellent.On Mothers Day the staff made sure we got a table even though it was busy and we were only in for our weekly pint.There was also a nice touch when my wife got a glass of prosecco for Mother's day

Was in here for a private baby shower ,was really impressed with the buffet that was served by the staff who were also very pleasant and helpful. Buffet was delicious and good was warm too .

Made very welcome by the staff. Eilidh and Erin have been so fantastic. Brung our beers to the table and could not make us feel more welcome. They took time to say hi to our dogs and give them treats from the dog station. The food was very good and again served with a smile. We will 100% be back and can’t thank the staff (including Anne the manager) enough for the fantastic service. Thank you 👍❤️🍺

Served by Darcey who was an absolute joy. Nothing was too much bother and she constantly checked to make sure we were OK and if we needed anything else. Food came quickly and was yummy. Very friendly atmosphere. No complaints 👌

Llegó sobre las 12. 30 lugar bastante tranquilo Una chica que sirve bar y comida Pedí una chaqueta de queso de papa y frijoles Esperó unos 30 minutos a que llegara una patata de chaqueta y el relleno con pinta de haber estado en las edades del horno ¡Podría hacer la salsa de frijoles! Patata muy seca iba a dejarlo pero tenía hambre No estoy seguro si el chef es nuevo pero para mantener a sus clientes voy a emplear a alguien nuevo No volveré. Food was cooked to our liking. Staff where soo welcoming especially our server Jens. It was such a relaxing and lovely atmosphere.

Ella era asertiva y amable siempre a pesar de que estaba más ocupado de lo habitual y ella estaba registrando con nosotros cada vez que podía y haciéndonos saber si iba a haber un poco de espera debido a lo ocupado que había sido. Definitivamente nos hizo la noche! Jenna es muy buena en su trabajo, su actitud positiva nos hizo sentir muy bien y nos encantaría volver pronto.

It's good then that the staff are so friendly, though that may be the dogs charms rather than my own. The food is good with a decent selection and the atmosphere is that of a laid back local. Quiet enough that I can unwind or social enough if I am in the mood. Great place and great people. Jena was the last person who served me, professional with a great sense of humour.

Hi there, I booked a table for 4 today for 16:30 at Old Plane Tree, Darnley, Glasgow. We specifically chose here as we wanted a Sunday roast and they had advertised on their facebook today that they were doing Sunday Roasts with 30% off. We ordered online by scanning the QR code and a while later someone came over to say they weren’t doing roasts the full of January! We found this odd considering the Facebook advert that was posted today and the fact my order has successfully went through online. I showed the Facebook post to the manager and she apologised but said it was an automatic post made by head office. We decided to order different food and then waited 1 and a half hours (from our booking time) and an hour from when our original order went in, for our food. When it came we discovered the pizza that was ordered on the original order had also been cancelled and not put through on the new order (although we were only asked to choose new meals for the roasts they couldn’t provide). After having to speak to a staff member yet again, as my daughter still had no dinner after an hour and a half, I went back to cut in to my steak and that was the final straw. I asked for medium rare and it was literally blue and freezing inside and like leather on the outside! At this point I took the steak over to the manager and advised we would be leaving without having our food. I have no idea how a restaurant can be ran so poorly with such lack of customer service and common sense and would love to know how customers are expected to know Sunday roasts are not available throughout January due to chefs being trained on how to make pizzas 🤷‍♀️ Every table around us also had issues and another table had also came for the advertised Sunday Roast. I feel like I wasted 2 hours of my life and ended up having to get a takeaway.

Yesterday at lunchtime we arrived around 13.20, we were seated and within 10 minhad drinks served and our order taken . Our starters eventually served around 1.55pm (the portion led me to believe I'd accidently ordered from the children's menu) We had those cleared away and sat and waited for our main courses....and waited.. and waited.. Eventually at 2.50pm we decided that as we had an appointment we could o longer wait so paid for our starters and drinks and left... Not even an apology... Drive past this place and go the McDonalds or somewhere would be my advice...

Love this place meet up with friends every Wednesday. The staff know us and gets our drinks without even asking. The food is good staff are amazing

We went back as we had not been in a few years for my husband's 60th birthday dinner last night,what a shock the food, atmosphere had changed so much. We sat for maybe 10-15 before we got a drinks order,the food was not it's best, a few of us ordered fish and chips and they didn't have tartar sauce or lemon for it.They also didn't have ginger beer or takeaway boxes. The service was very slow and when asked about a review the waitress wrote it herself from my daughter's phone. We would not go back or recommend

I was late arriving but thankfully that both the manager and chef agreed to serve me. I had the sirloin steak, which was cooked perfectly. Whilst not too busy, I was delighted to see that tables were quickly cleared and cleaned. Very presentable. Cath and her staff went above and beyond which is great to see.

Been here a couple of times for lunch and it has been good however we booked for 9 on Christmas day and was really disappointed the waiting staff were very young and inexperienced the table we sat at wasn't big enough the meal itself was quite dry I asked for more gravy but was ignored our desserts were delayed due to staff having to reset a table and came in fits and starts with one missing,for the price we paid the experience was disappointing we weren't made to feel special which I thought going out for Christmas lunch was all about.Sorry for the negative post but if your not informed you can't improve.The Christmas experience won't deter me from eating here in future as is usually great.

The food was freezing like the restaurant. Staff didn't care. Nothing they can do apparently. Don't waste your money. You work too hard for it

I recently visited The Old Plaintree in Southpark Village, Darnley, and had an absolutely fantastic experience. We enjoyed a beautiful Christmas dinner, and the service was exemplary, thanks to Darcey, Cath and Eiligh. The food was delicious, and the festive atmosphere made it even more special. It’s a great choice for families looking to take the hassle out of Christmas Day cooking. Highly recommend it!

I came to the old plane tree with my family for my christmas dinner last night at 4pm staff were absolutely fantastic and were so attentive, service was extremly quick, the next course came out just as quick as the next, will definitely be coming back next year and recommending to my friends and family also!

Fed up of ordering and said item not available. 3 visits in a row, multiple items on menu not available. The pizza oven hasn't worked in months, so make it unavailable? It's really not difficult to run efficient customer service, but in this place, they couldn't care less. Food is good when they have it, customer service lacking and unbalanced in every.. single.. way.

Thankfully I don't live locally and I won't be back. Myself and my dog visited today. Ordered placed at 2.08pm, eventually around 2.50pm my order arrived minus my drink. The food was nice enough. Joke of a place.

I won't be rushing back anytime soon. I ordered a steak filly cheese baquette and it came in a hot dog roll😕, we waited ages to get served.

Came in for late lunch/dinner and a few drinks. Staff especially Anne was very welcoming and service was exceptional. Place was clean and tidy. Meal was delicious will be back in the future.
