Dug 'n' Duck in Glasgow City

I have got to be totally honest here. The staff were absolutely fantastic 11/10 but the food was inedible. I mean really bad. The chicken burger although it was very big....was bad. Funny texture.....one of the worst I've had anywhere. The curry was very bland and watery. The steak pie thing was.....I actually doesn't know what to say......I'll stick to real...bad. Absolutely go for the alcohol as they do good offers and it's cheap. The staff honestly just couldn't have been better. Also brilliant with dogs. For food I just couldn't ever recommend.....so so soooooo unfortunate :( x

First visit since the pub reopened and was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in the food. Fish and chips were great and the chicken burger was a very hearty portion. Friendly staff but some strange changes like no juke box on the public side of the bar and £1.50 for a game of pool!

I loved my wee local and couldn't wait for the reopening. Couldn't believe the state of the lounge, carpet in a dinning area, something out of the 70's. They had plates stuck to the wall, never mind flying ducks. The beautiful stain glass dome is away on the celing. They no longer serve food on a Monday & Tuesday, nobody in and zero atmosphere. No free jukebox anymore? This was the hub of Millerston, who valued customers, food was always tasty. Heineken what have you done to the pub. I genuinely don't think it will be open long.

After all the local hype regarding the reopening of the pub after a long closure decided to try it out on the bank holiday Monday weekend only to find thy did not serve food on a Monday or Tuesday nevertheless had a drink while sitting 16 potential customers came in looking for food along with some telephone enquires. Let’s hope this duck takes off and isn’t a lame duck.

Visited here with family, was pleasantly surprised, food was lovely and very reasonable, comfortable surroundings, staff were fantastic and so friendly, would recommend and will be returning

Had a late lunch with my friend, the food was delicious and the portions huge, service was prompt. All the staff are friendly and accommodating definitely going back soon

Went out yesterday for lunch and a few beers, first venture out since lockdown started. Absolutely no complaints at all, food was excellent for pub grub, all 4 of us enjoyed. Looks like the pub is doing as much as they can regards the COVID stuff. Stayed for a few beers after dining and all was good. Staff where also friendly and helpful. Worth a visit.

Me and my husband have had quite a few meals in the pub recent one being New Year’s Day. I love the menu there plus big portions and you always feel stuffed after leaving. The last meal I had was the bbq wings and they were tasty and had the chicken with the haggis in a whiskey sauce. Have had that twice now. My favourite is the peppercorn chicken but always try and have something different. I love the family karaoke on a Sunday it’s great for the kids to go up and sing. My grandson enjoyed himself last year in it. He is only 4 and was confident. DJ Laura is a brilliant karaoke host and plays good music too. The bar staff are lovely and friendly and they are a good bunch of people who get involved in haloween or any function that is fancy dress. Always a good night whether it’s karaoke or tribute nights. Next one is 80s night which I’m excited about. I definitely recommend this pub and always telling people to have a meal or go to the karaoke or tribute nights

Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff who give a warm welcoming. Reasonable prices with a wide variety of soft and alcoholic drinks .

The dug n duck is a great place to visit, the atmosphere is fantastic, the drinks are nice and tasty as is the food and also the faces in the place are very friendly also. They offer great entertainment for each day to keep customers happy. I would most definitely recommend the pub to many as I’m sure they would enjoy it as much as others.

Great wee family pub serves a smashing wee set a grub, bar staff are always cheerful and a pleasure to talk to and always has a great atmosphere 10/10 would recommend 👍🏼

I really enjoyed my dinner, I will be coming back. I noticed two bad reviews that make no sense. The place was spotless, lovely staff and modern looking. I would recommend for all to try. I have found my new local place to eat. Extremely happy.

Food and staff were amazing, always keen to help you from your menu choice to hear about the specials to your desserts and even follow up on you for further drinks! Wouldn’t go anywhere else x

Nice pub to visit for food and is very dog and child friendly. The staff are always attentive. Free Jukebox on a Monday and there's a pool tournament on Tuesday where you can have a pint and a burger for £6 - bargain! Lovely decor...
