This is a warm and welcoming deli with a real family vibe. The food was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend their fresh orange juice- freshly squeezed! Lovely location in the town of Linlithgow, perfect for some afternoon stroll fuel!

Unhelpful male junior staff at the counter who made me sit outside because they didn’t want me to sit inside at the big table! It’s cold outside in Scotland in November and I’d recommend it to anyone!!

Great place. Lovely ladies. Breakfast was delicious and plenty options (even for vegetarians) and the desserts looked amazing.

Go there regularly and both food and service are always top rated. The menu is simple and food always fresh.Yhe home bakes are the best in Linlithgow.

After more than a year of going to this place, I finally made the best decision of my life: to never return. I experienced racism and arrogance from most of the staff. It was clear they don’t accept or respect people from different racial backgrounds. The environment was toxic, cold, and deeply uncomfortable. It’s sad that places like this still exist, but that’s life. I wish Ballencrieff and its staff all the best, even though my time there was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. All the best.

Lovely little cafe with good choice of cafe related items. Can get really busy.

A lovely cafe and I visit regularly. I often go with my 6 year old grandchild, who loves Cappadocia's French toast.

I wouldn’t have know this cafe was there as it is so well hidden from sight, but it is well worth looking for if you are after somewhere with all the basic essentials. It is more works canteen than top end coffee shop, but it’s spacious, warm, and is inexpensive. A great place to take children without fear of them upsetting anyone or breaking something valuable! The staff are worth a special mention. Friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Lovely place! food was great don’t listen to the bad reviews, lovely and attentive staff, we had full breakfast, the haggis was the best i’ve had.

Unfortunately, really not impressed with this place. We went here because their website said they were doing the "eat out to help out" scheme. We were charged full price. When I questioned it, I was met with a confused "no?". Also, a massive GDPR issue for me. Beside the till, was a list that we put our name and number on for track and trace. I could quite clearly see everyone's details, just left on the counter for anyone to see! Honestly, online this place looked so great, but it was a disappointing reality. The muffins were average. Like nothing special. I was really surprised at the prices of things. Like almost a fiver for a small cheese toasty, which, again, was nothing to write home about. Also my coffee was very bland. Normally coffee is a bit bitter for me, so I take sugar, but not with this. Was pretty tasteless. I doubt I'll be going back here.

Racist bar, must suggest Asian people to go there alone, customer there treating you with abusive racism and rude dialect, especially managing giving them shelter to behave like this , it is racist bar, please save yourself not going there, Customer abuse and told me to get out of there manager didn't took any action

We had a carvery today. Meal was amazing. Barry was so friendly and helpful. We were made to feel welcome and not rushed to eat our meal then leave. Will be back again.

Food was great, staff were excellent! Very accommodating to dietary requirements (dairy and gluten allergy) with a gluten free bun provided with the burger! Staff went absolutely above and beyond with their service, highly recommend!!
