Cafe Dale-icious in West Lothian

Lovely little cafe with good choice of cafe related items. Can get really busy.

Bought from here, food came as if it was straight out a freezer, beans were all over the bags and hair was on a sausage - phoned them up and the person on phone had no clue on what to do n had to get someone else to phone me back, another guy phoned back after I was told I was getting new stuff sent out, this guy phoned back and said they will add 2 items onto my order next time, as if I’ll be ordering from here again 😂 with this rubbish experience. Overall wouldn't suggest buying from here at all. Wouldn't even give the food to my dog - that’s if it would even eat it.

Three staff but only one was serving. One was cleaning and one was standing about doing nothing. I was the only takeaway customer and there was one sit-in customer who seemed to be getting ignored because she came up to the counter to get served and the assistant told her to get back to her seat and that she'd be served soon. I think the assistant was probably stressed but it came out sounding quite rude. The bagette I got looked horrible. I can't really explain why but it just looked sloppy and messy if that makes sense. But I got it for my husband and he said it tasted good 👍 so a lower mark for customer service and presentation but a higher mark for taste. Don't know if it has changed management or something but it really isn't as organised or welcoming as it used to be.

Dropped in today for a quick bite. We have been recently, so expected a small side salad and a few crisps beside the toastie etc, as that’s what we had before. It also says this on the menus on the tables. No salad nor crisps. We asked the staff (younger people as the owner/manager was not there). “Salad and crisps now cost extra”, we were told. We asked then how much the toastie and panini were on their own. Around £5 for just the panini! Nope, not acceptable. Apparently the prices are picked when entered into the till. I mentioned that it wasn’t a wise thing to misrepresent prices on a menu, and was told that prices had recently gone up (along with the elimination of “free” salad and crisps. One server said then that we didn’t need to pay so we left - panini untouched and a bite out of the toastie, and one lukewarm latté drunk. As we were leaving my partner overheard the other say “they never paid” I was only told this 5 minutes after leaving so returned to pay for the coffees. Left the attached note for the owner/manager’s attention Main points: - this is a budget cafe, but that doesn’t excuse it - display accurate menus - these were A4 black ink copies which could be made in a matter of minutes. - do not try to make people pay for items with no and/or wrong prices - try elsewhere until the cafe gets its act together I also feel for the young servers, as they should not have to explain the poor business operation.

We were not impressed with this cafe. It has 5/6 tables crammed in front of the counter. We asked for 2teas,1 coffee, 2 soft drinks. The prices shown appear to be for carry out only as the added approx 60p on each item for sitting in. Tried to charge £2.30 for a pkt of crisps which were priced at 80p. Staff had very little training, hadn't a clue how to serve a table. TOILET HAD NO TOILET PAPER. BUTto be fair it was a decent cup of tea and home baking was lovely. JUST DON'T SIT IN.

Good coffee . I had a lovely salad . It wasn't healthy but it was good 😁

I have to assume it's new owners or managment because this cafe used to be great.absoloutly terrible now,£26 worth of food straight in bin because it was cold and tasted horrible.asked for refund and they couldn't care less.dont waste money here

Hot and cold filled rolls. Meals and drinks. Quick service. Cheap prices. What more do you want? 🤷‍♂️🥸

Had home made lentil soup delicious

Put everything in a bag for me opened it up, no juice with kids box also asked for a picnic box with a tikka baguette just got a tikka baguette without the box but was charged for it all

The food is delicious and fresh, very friendly service and fast home delivery, I recommend trying it. Thank you!

Went here randomly for a breakfast/lunch while waiting on car Mot. I'm so glad we did ordered 2 breakfasts and drinks. The size is decent and good quality nice and fresh tasting, I'm a fussy eater and they cover all the fine detail. Thanks guys will defo be back and thank you to Caroline for making us welcome and meet our requirements!!!

Just bought red lentil soup best soup I’ve ever tasted if I could give it 6 star I would every thing I’ve eating out this cafe is awesome
