Dotty's Sandwich & Coffee Shop in West Lothian

Lovely place! food was great don’t listen to the bad reviews, lovely and attentive staff, we had full breakfast, the haggis was the best i’ve had.

Unfortunately my two experiences at Dotty's haven't been positive. The hot drinks were over priced, tasted weak. I had walked for less than one minute before my cappuccino lost all it's froth and became a weak coffee with milk. The toastie was not cooked through, the cheese was bland, the bread was barely coloured at all. Again, a premium price for an inferior product. The staff are lovely. The cafe is always busy so has atmosphere.

Great place to stop for great food and service! Very friendly and priced well! Great haggis and black pudding and coffee!

The food here really wasn't great. The portions were really small and I ordered a panini with chicken and ham but they gave me some chicken mixed in mayo and never advised me this would be the chicken. I don't like mayo so wanted plain chicken and ham as ordered. When I went back to the server she said I got what I asked for and was unwilling to refund my money. Would not recommend going here.

Had lunch here before going swimming. Tasty toasties and hot chocolate were enjoyed. Friendly service and a popular venue for locals.

Lost debit cards nearby and these were handed to Dotty. The staff went to great lengths to trace me. Can't thank them enough.

Tried for first time , basic interior, clean and tidy, staff very nice and helpful, normal menu for b/fast, lunch, rolls and cakes, staff served my coffee at table, busy place with carry out options

Great cafe and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food is great great value for money. I recommend coronation chicken panini which comes with free colsaw and crisp.

Firstly this review is solely my experience and 100% genuine.I have been here recently and was alarmed when the person serving me was dripping with sweat ....then wiped his head and then started serving food.Needless to say I didnt order any food.There were also people form the kitchen going outside and sitting on chairs smoking.Im sorry if this offends but I will not be going back and suggest changes are made.

Small cafe, serving good breakfast and very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly too. Lots of cake choice!

Staying at a nearby hotel and rather than pay the £15pp at the hotel we decided to nip out and head round to this wee cafe, thankfully we were not disappointed. Staff were pleasant and the price of our breakfast for a family of four was £15. Food came out quickly and the quality met our exceptions.

I have been coming in here loads in the last month . What a gem of a place ! First and foremost I'm a stickler for cleanliness and you won't get cleaner than dotty,s. Friendly staff and wholesome food. Couldn't ask for more !!!

What a corker of a cafe. Lovely wee place run by lovely friendly people. The food is lovely(brilliant poached eggs) and toilet is spotless.

Nice staff and simple diner with everything you need. Quick and easy with plenty of parking too. Eggs were good and we finally found more American style crispy bacon (still thick British bacon). Coffee was ok. Amazingly inexpensive prices.

Mientras que en Broxburn por negocios me encontré este lugar por pura casualidad. Metimos en para el almuerzo y era absolutamente encantados. Es un concurrido lugar y claramente tiene una gran cantidad de clientes habituales. Impecablemente limpio, incluso el retrete!

Cafetería hotelito adorable! Hemos de ir allí un par de veces rices son buenas! El personal es amable! Muy limpio y tiene un par de sillas laterales para los fumadores. Usted no iría incluso no fue allí! Lo que tienes que no Broxburn, ya que es de la calle principal

I work near here so find this a great café to sit on my hours lunch. I've had most things from the menu and have no complaints about the food or service.

Visited here one Saturday morning for a couple of take away breakfast rolls. We walked in and waited at the counter but staff were too busy chatting to come over and serve us. We were just about to walk out when a girl came over...

I had been shopping and I only had time for the Lentil Soup and buttered roll but cannot fault it. It was surely home made. I'll definitely be back for that and more.

No tienen una gran experiencia para ser sincero, la comida no era agradable realmente como bastante baja calidad - las salchichas eran terribles, pero el personal era amable y demasiado caro, pero no será pedir el desayuno nuevo

Been a few times & Not got a bad word to say,recommend the fish tea,cheaper than the local chippy & you get more(bread / butter,peas & a cup of tea) plus you get to sit and listen to the banter.(watch the big mans face light up when you ask for a fish tea, he loves his job)

Throughly enjoyed my lunch. Fab and fresh food served in a warm and friendly cafe. The staff are great and nothing was too much effort. Can't wait to return.

Breakfast is fab..big plateful tea toast all for £5.50!!Great friendly service. Highly recommend.Brililant for lunch take away aswell. Forget Greggs, go to 'Dotty's.

Absoluitley lovely excellent service food superb and highly recommended. The Macaroni cheese and 1/4 burgers are to die for.Cappuccino and slice of cake was £2.75 quality food . Staff are fantastic xx
