Great great experience. Being celiac , I’m always really worried about eating out. They took incredible care of me, the food was absolutely delicious and cooked separately, which is so very important. We loved our experience ! The cocktail was amazing as well!

Have been here several times. Today the lunch was somewhat disappointing. The jacket potato was somewhat on the small size and the traybake seemed a little stale. Service taking our order was also slow. I think this place is good if you're looking for a main meal. The choice is excellent. However maybe not so good for lunch or snacks. Dark interior is not great, and some additional lighting would make a difference in some of the dark corners. Fine for a romantic evening meal maybe but not so great at other times. Staff always friendly and polite though.

Food was nice but very overpriced for this type of food. Childs portion of chips and cheese £8.65???!!! Really.

A very cozy place, very friendly attention from the waitress, and the delicious American-style dishes.... it seems to be a cocktail maker in addition to making meals... interesting place.

Breakfast was good, slightly over cooked sausage was brick hard. Service was poor, wouldn’t let us swap breakfast items, never checked to see if our food was okay and wait time for food was long. Servers were quite rude, all young and just stood around chatting not working, wouldn’t go back.

It was a very nice breakfast with pleasant & prompt service.

Very good restaurant! I could only recommend it to you! Located next to a wonderful castle, which I also recommend!! There is a cozy atmosphere! With friendly staff! We had plaid carpet! We opted for a little brunch! There are children's menus which we really appreciated! I also had a pint of orange juice which I couldn't finish because it was so big! I'll take photos of our meals for you! Very very good value for money! One thing if you pass by there, stop! ❣

Food: tasty but struggling to align price with portion size (wrap filling was pretty woeful). Seats: After sitting at work all day a rock hard wooden chair awaits your butt. Fire: nice. Service: spot on.

Really great food, loads of choice, nice decor & great drinks list. I have a dairy allergy and the server was really helpful and really lovely, so hard to find somewhere good with allergies who don’t make you feel like a nuisance. Will definitely be back :)

Visit Linlithgow often, just jump on train from Falkirk High Station. Did so yesterday looking for nice food and relaxed drinks. It delivered what Falkirk doesn't. We loved it. The food was a great standard, the staff were attentive and personable. What a beautiful wee place we have found. We will visit often and bring our family. Such a nice ambiance and mixed range of custom. Offers all we look for.

Had a really good visit for brunch with the family. Food was excellent as was the staff and service. There was a great variety and wee managed something for everyone including a fussy child. We would definitely go back and the only reason I dropped a star for atmosphere was dogs in the restaurant. I understand it's absolutely personal preference but definitely not for me.

Superb food for all 3of us. Would recommend fillet steak sandwich. That was something special! Murray my man and staff were spot on👍

we ordered simple food and it was not very busy, so why should it take 45 mins at least to make a panini, a simple tuna sandwich and some pre-heated soup?

Nice friendly and helpful staff serving great beer and cider, even after a long Father's Day, It is just a pity that burgers in Scotland are always overcooked (yes I know it is the law) but it turns a £16 burger into something akin to shoe leather.

All the food that was being delivered to tables looked nice but I choose to have a big breakfast with haggis and black pudding which I really enjoyed. I would recommend this place if you are in the area to discover the future birthday place of Mr.Scott who will work on board the USS Enterprise as part of the UFP. Live Long and Prosper

Booking essential on a Saturday lunchtime. Not suitable for spontaneous visits unless you are willing to sit at a high table. Also, was going to sit outside and was handed a food menu by one member of staff only to be told it's drinks only outside by another member of the wait staff. Very disappointed.

Stopped in for a quick bite. The nachos were by far the nicest we'd tried in years. The trio of dips were all beautifully flavoured. The tempura chicken on the other hand, we found to be too greasy and a little over cooked. Though the chicken itself was perfectly cooked.

Lovely food - everything we had was cooked well and presented good. The service was good and it was really busy when we visited. Cocktails went down a treat, we drank lots. I felt it was a tad overpriced and the seating was not the most comfortable.

Visited late on a busy Saturday afternoon, when many nearby coffee shops were closed. Friendly attentive staff, good home baking, & a pleasant ambience.

Lovely atmosphere & decor, fantastic menu - wide range of options (plenty for omnivores & plant-based eaters) reasonable prices for superb quality meals (£60 for 3 people - 2 courses each + soft drinks & tea/coffee). Service was friendly, attentive, reasonable pace/turnaround. Very impressed by vegetarian breakfast as was done perfectly, everyone enjoyed their meals immensely. Will definitely be returning :)

Nice quiet pub. Plenty seating and the staff are friendly.

Over priced. Other menu items might be OK, but the tomato soup literally tasted like blended tinned tomatoes. Staff didn't seem interested either.

A generous 2 based purely on our 2 soft drinks becoming complimentary. Quite simply, to wait 40 mins for the wrong food to arrive and then be told it'll now be quite a wait for the correct order was a joke. No.. your brought the wrong food, get the right food order to the front of the queue. It was simply nachos and chips. (A tiny cup of over priced chips too). Clearly no communication between the 2 staff either. Tbf the young lad was quite apologetic. The (presumably shift supervisor/manager) needs a bit of an energy enthusiasm injection. It might be quite a prominent looking venue on the High Street but wouldn't be rushing back.

A great restaurant in Linlithgow that is dog friendly. You do need to book at weekends as it can get busy. Great choice of foods and the sweets are amazing. Service was brilliant. All in all good value for money and definately go back again.

This is a nice cafe/bar in the heart of Linlithgow. I ordered coffee and cake which was nice but the service was lacking a little. I had to call a member of staff to take our order as I felt we had been forgotten about then I had to go up to the bar to ask for sugar etc.

Friendly staff, wheelchair accessible and good coffee. Works for me!

Stay away from the pizzas! What I got barely resembled one. We're talking ketchup on a cheap pizza base and with poorly melted cheese. Tasted uncooked. I've put together better meals whilst drunk and barely awake. Don't waste your money.

Nice, ambient cafe in the heart of Linlithgow. Good sele tion of food and some decent wine and cocktails to boot, as well as a selection of beers. There are also a few surprises worth trying, such as the Scottish Strawberry wine. Summer in a glass. Staff friendly. Music at weekends. Prices very reasonable. Just a shame it doesn't attract a bigger clientele in the evenings during the week, as it deserves better.

We has an absolutely lovely meal today, 4 if us had the mid week steak deal with wine. We all agreed it was one of the best steaks we have had. We would highly recommend. Staff are all friendly and welcoming 10/10 for the also.

Warm welcome, friendly, patient with French tourists despite the language barrier. Super good meal. Present quality and honest value for money. We recommend without problem Haggis present in hamburgers or wraps. No connection with the restaurant opposite Four Maryse which, despite its reputation, did not welcome us as they should

By far the worst service ever experienced. Was told approx 30 min wait for food as kitchen was busy but would bring drinks while we waited. After another 20 mins and 2 tables who arrived after us being served before us and complete disregard from the original waiter we received drinks. Dirty cup provided for tea and when asked for another was told all our cups are like that. Astounding. After finally badgering someone to take a food order which was no more complicated than soup and a sandwich for 2 people the soup arrived minus the sandwich which as suspected never made an appearance. At this point I gave up and went to pay. Not surprisingly I found I was charged for the food that never found it’s way to our table. Pointed this out and the answer was a basic oh right! Absolutely deplorable service. My bill was adjusted but still included a sandwich we dint receive. Bill adjusted again….to find I was charged for a donation which they take from all customers. But don’t actually ask you if you want to partake in this. Another change to the bill which was paid only for me to discover when had left the premises I had still paid for 3 soups instead of 2. Frankly by that time I hadn’t the energy to go back. Being understaffed is something I can appreciate however shocking service like this is completely unacceptable and gives catering a really bad name. Being from a similar environment I can 100% say the service delivery was deplorable and customer care worse. Safe to say I will never be back. In these days when business are trying to stay afloat if this is what they are offering I would not be surprised to see it not lasting.,,

Nice atmosphere and staff. Food was very good. My Pie and Mash was just like my mother made!!! My wife had a delicious baked potato with pulled pork. As a last minute decision, I got the giant meringue dessert, and oh-boy, it was comically huge!!! I believe it was at least 5-6” in diameter. The two half’s have cream and strawberry between them. Definitely a desert to share with the table.

We stepped in for a quick bite and ended up having one of the best meals we have had in Scotland. The haggis small plate was divine - I have never had better haggis. The steak pie was also simply amazing with a bit of gravy over top to make it perfect. Each item was well-spiced and an elevated version of what I have had elsewhere. What an excellent dining experience.

I appreciate that this restaurant has a dedicated page in the menu for vegan and vegetarian options! Ate here twice during our week-stay. First visit was during lunch and second was during dinner. I had the Impossibly Poultry sandwich the first visit and the 1807 Fregan Burger on the second visit. Both were delicious, but I fancy the Impossibly Poultry sandwich the most. The drinks were good and the staff were very lovely. Good eats and drinks of Linlithgow.

They were very busy. So, the food has to be good. Aye, it was good, but a bit daor (dear). The staff was friendly and took good care of guests. The café is dog very friendly. It’s nice to sit outside. The table may be unstable, but if you ask the staff or waiter, they have special table stabilisers they can put under the table to stabilise it for you. It was about £50 for three burgers and three soft drinks.

Was stopping off for couple of hours on coach trip. Ordered the large breakfast which was hot when it arrived. Staff were very friendly and place was very clean and dog friendly as well. Would definitely recommend and would call in again if I was traveling through town.
