We visited during covid times for a takeaway coffee and cake. Excellent selection of cakes and excellent service with a smile. Best Victoria Sponge I've had in ages! Great value as well. Will definitely be back to try more! Also very well done during Covid - was takeaway only when we visited, with a plastic screen at the door.

My afternoon tea was the best I’ve ever had. Varied, freshly baked and beautifully presented. I have intolerances and my savoury plate, scones and cakes were just as good as everyone else’s. Topped up with endless teas and coffees. This really was a treat,

We went for lunch and felt very welcome. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Lentil soup was good, just the side bread could be changed for the roll. I had a bruscheta without avocado due allergy. But they forgot😔. So I removed one star for rating.

Was rank, coffee was weak and hair in my pastry.. wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy to be honest. Would recommend Gregg's round the corner in all fairness.

Excellent meal, perfectly cooked by head chef Sean. Professionally served by Willie and Gemma. I had the brie then the roast beef. Perfectly cooked. Claire had the pate, George's home made recipe, then the scampi. Well done team .. 11 out of 10 xx

Great service and excellent quality food. Locally sourced produce. Breakfast bap with haggis. Yum. We were blessed with a beautiful day, so took advantage of the outdoor seating. Superb views. Little treat for the dog. Great food, great coffee, great service...what's not to love?

The staff were very friendly and helpful even amidst the hustle and bustle of the lunch rush.

The slow cooked BBQ beef bagel, from the Wee Green Hut outside, was epic! I could’ve eaten 2, maybe 3. I’ll be back for another one soon. Nice coffee too, friendly service and free parking in the car park.

Excellent real ale - not a wide choice (three handpumps of which only two had ale on) but the ones they have on are well cared for and that's what matters - bravo! Along with option to have a tasty bit of nosh in the bar from next door Mazzoli (excellent proper pizza) and friendly service and banter. Proper pub and long may it continue!

Booked on their website night before and turned up and were given a number of options as to where to sit. Mark was our waiter and he was friendly, professional, on it - never left us too long and was attentive and kind. Mark - you are a credit to the restaurant! Not many as good as you about. I had the grilled salmon chimmichurri (?) with broccoli, crispy kale and new potatoes . I actually said to my mum, “if I died tomorrow I would be happy with that as my last meal”. Random thing to say, but it was absolutely delicious! And my kind of meal all in. Had the dark chocolate and cherry triffle - oofffttt had to share it with my Dad, it was delicious but big. The portions sizes are generous. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and amazing food. We will be back and highly recommend. Thanks again

Seriously 1 hour 50 minutes to make a delivery literally 2 minutes up the road to me is quite simply unacceptable !! When I phoned to enquire where my order was after 90 minutes btw I was told they were very very busy ( not my problem really) Well guess what as a long standing regular customer you are going to be less busy without my business I’m not prepared to wait nearly 2 hours for my food

Excellent food, unfortunately, the staff need to up their game. Wrong orders. Cutlery not replaced. No napkins. Had to ask for all of the above. Bostock need experienced staff who can co-ordinate the front of house/waiting staff. If you charge premium prices, you need efficient and experienced staff.

Wee visit to Hugo's Hall's Cafe. Lovely fresh environment and lovely friendly staff. Lovely slice of Victoria sponge and a glass of Irn Bru. Sponge was very yummy 😋
