This is a really great little cafe, people are friendly and helpful but most of all it has great food and coffee with a genuine continental atmosphere . Love it

We visited during covid times for a takeaway coffee and cake. Excellent selection of cakes and excellent service with a smile. Best Victoria Sponge I've had in ages! Great value as well. Will definitely be back to try more! Also very well done during Covid - was takeaway only when we visited, with a plastic screen at the door.

My afternoon tea was the best I’ve ever had. Varied, freshly baked and beautifully presented. I have intolerances and my savoury plate, scones and cakes were just as good as everyone else’s. Topped up with endless teas and coffees. This really was a treat,

We stayed in this hotel for six nights, and there are lots of other restaurants in Haddington... But the King's was so good that we didn't bother to try any others - the first time I've never eaten outside the hotel during a stay... Soooo good!

Spent the Hogmanay evening bringing the new year with a few friends. The staff were extremely attentive and welcoming on arrival taking our coats and showing us to our seats at the table we had pre booked. The food and drinks were brought to the table in a cheerful manner. There was a small band playing and later we were given a rendition of some bagpipers which capped a very enjoyable evening. Every time I’ve visited the Waterside I’ve always had a good experience and would highly recommend paying it a visit.

Another great wee night out at Mazzoli with 3 friends that met when our children were at Haddington Infant Nursery 21 years ago. We had delicious food from the Festive menu, and as usual.it was all excellent. Christmas pizzas with all the trimmings are definitely something worth trying. As usual staff were attentive, friendly and service was excellent. Always enjoy our food, drink and ambience at Mazzoli.

We went for lunch and felt very welcome. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Lentil soup was good, just the side bread could be changed for the roll. I had a bruscheta without avocado due allergy. But they forgot😔. So I removed one star for rating.

We stayed here for 3 days on a golfing trip.Fantastic! Staff were amazing, food was lovely, would definitely stay here again! What a lovely little town. We ate dinner in the tavern, was very nice. We also tried the local curry house as recommended by Lorraine behind the bar, fantastic. The third night we tried the local bistro, nice but I preferred the curry house. Opinions though. I would highly recommend this tavern.👍 We were down to play The Glen one of the days but it was closed as it was too wet. Lorraine behind the bar arranged for us to play Archerfield instead. Wow! Really nice. Thanks Lorraine, very nice of you to sort us out.

Was rank, coffee was weak and hair in my pastry.. wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy to be honest. Would recommend Gregg's round the corner in all fairness.

We have been going to Falkos for years. The restaurant is beautiful and quirky. The food is excellent 👌 as always and I don't mind the increase in price as everything has gone up, that is life. But the service is absolutely terrible 😞 It has gone down the drain for some time but this time was the pits. Come on Falko!!! I am German and know how it should be, so get your act together.

Excellent meal, perfectly cooked by head chef Sean. Professionally served by Willie and Gemma. I had the brie then the roast beef. Perfectly cooked. Claire had the pate, George's home made recipe, then the scampi. Well done team .. 11 out of 10 xx

Great service and excellent quality food. Locally sourced produce. Breakfast bap with haggis. Yum. We were blessed with a beautiful day, so took advantage of the outdoor seating. Superb views. Little treat for the dog. Great food, great coffee, great service...what's not to love?
