Played a round here yesterday whilst visiting from the netherlands. Great staff very friendly and accomodating to us since we had to hire clubs. Couldn’t recommend Haddington more to travellers looking for a challenging round of golf in a beautiful part of east Lothian. Thanks again

Great course that plays really well, quite flat in general with one or two exceptions.

After a challenging winter the course is now in great condition with fast greens.

Great course, one of my favourites, especially as I visit family infrequently in Hadders. Some very scenic parkland holes. Even after a horrendously wet winter, the course is holding up well. I've been shooting better scores every time I've played as I get to know the firm greens and iron distances to hit. A couple of my good friends play here. Driving range, pro shop and clubhouse all very respectable. Great putting green and chipping area.

Great golf course friendly staff

Decent course. I played on a Tuesday after the season was finished. I play at a James braid course (which Haddington also is), where you get a discount. The pro said to me it's usually £55 but I'll do it for £35. If this is true, I feel its considerably over priced for what you get. It's a reasonably maintained parkland course, but no hole really stood out. Half the greens were in good condition considering the time of year and weather recently being wet. A few greens were struggling a bit. Bunkers were okay but a little ragged. Nice friendly atmosphere around the club and nice wee driving range for a warm up. In an area with many impressive courses in not sure I'd pay the money again as £55 at non peak time is too much and I wonder if the pro was telling porkies to get the full rate out me.

I've been a member here for around 12 years and seen it transformed in to one of the best courses in east Lothian if you haven't played it before or havint for a while give it a go you will be more than impressed the pro staff are very helpful and the food in the bar is fabulous

Awesome golf course. The course is very nice and the driving range is very well set up. It Has toilets, parking, cafe, golf shop and more.

Staff are very friendly good size function rooms.

Great course, very well maintained and a pleasant round. Slight confusion on some of the order for certain holes. Clubhouse needing investment but the course is top tier.

What an amazing course ,unbelievable value for money .in excellent condition,with some challenging holes.very friendly and helpful staff.the ground staff do an amazing job,could not have wished for a better course.will definitely be back.

Joined when moved locally. Signed up in pro shop on Day One, great team there and very welcoming. The course itself is a hidden gem. Front nine is longer and some par 4s hard to reach in two, even with a good drive. But full of good holes that require you to move the ball both ways and are beautifully set. Back nine a bit shorter and scoring a bit easier. Some holes wouldn’t be out of place on very best courses worldwide. The greens are especially good and full of clever undulations more akin to a links course. Very friendly and accessible course, would appeal to all standards of player and at £60 per month some of the best value golf on Scotland’s east coast. Highly recommended.

Good course will definitely be back

Husband is a member ! He took myself and our friend for lunch there ,spacious and the food was lovely, cooked fresh, going back this week for lunch again! With covid and shielding it's been really hard just like it's been for others so it's nice to get out now and again and with a nice place and good food, nice staff it really does pick you up for the rest of that day, so looking forward to our next visit, my friends pleased she's coming again too.

Good value breakfasts and filled rolls. Outdoor covered area spoiled by smokers, but to be fair, quickly moved on by staff.

Looking to get back to golf after covid told Haddington now had a small range open to the public very surprised top quality practice balls mats in good condition and very good value for a bucket of balls. Service in the professional shop first class Calum very courteous and helpful I will definitely use it on a regular basis

Always loved this place but the place is looking tired. Fairways, tees and boxes needing work. Bunkers are shocking need a proper raking. Shame as used to be my course too.

Lovely golf track some long tricky par 4s

The Practice Area is an absolute jewel. It is the heart of the course, yet few acknowledge it as such. Very few courses in East Lothian can boast better, including those listed as Regional Qualifiers for the Open. Plans are afoot to reduce this area to a Driving Range, taking away the current ability of the infinite variety of practice shots available from grass using the entire area, and not just through a pay for balls scheme from plastic mats in driving booths. This intention has not even been market tested and only a few at the club know of how radical this change is, as it was passed at an SGM, attended by a minority of members few who use the practice area, yet it is the most major change at the club in its history. No longer will the club member be able to wander freely on this area to practice that shot which has been bothering him, and the regular user will find not only severe limitations in his practice choices but also it will become extremely costly as he will have to purchase practice balls through the professional.

Great golf course very tricky at Times. Good test...

Beautiful day at a lovely, pretty course. Very scenic. Loads of mature trees, reasonably wide fairways, a couple of water hazards. The rough was quite deep but then I shouldn't have been in it!

Vastly improved greens due to recent staff changes

Visited recently with 11 friends for a day's golf. Golf course ok. The food was APPALLING. 1. Morning bacon roll was chewy. 2 Lunch time soup tasteless. Sandwiches: cheap white bread. Cheese or processed cold meat-nothing else 3 Microwaved fish & chips -tasteless. Frozen veg -tasteless. After approx. 20 mins wait we had to ask for the 'desert'. Told the chef had forgotten. We were the only people in the place!!!!! Sickly frozen gateau). Won't be back (doubt if anyone there cares).
