If you want a cold pie when you ask for a hot one this is the place to go. Staff need to sit a course on customer service.

Visiting my lovely parents in Scotland, visited beans bakery yesterday for the first time and discovered a delicious assortment of truly fabulous cakes. The strawberry tarts are simply fabulous and the fondant fancies are very dangerously tasty. Glad I don’t live near this bakery LOL I think I would end up being the first pregnant man in Scotland

Very nice small bakery, the pastries and cakes taste nice. It's also in the best spot in the high street and is close to the library and city centre.

I have a small appetite but the portion size was ample for me.

Great bakery. I got the Scotch pie, a caramel twist, and some chocolate shortbread. Everything was delicious and the staff was super nice and friendly!

Greggs > baynes and go to rosehall for breastfast rolls theyre better

Freshly made, great selection, cakes are proper baker cakes. Alot cheaper than 'Greggs' with a much better price. Definitely try it if you've never been. Game changer

Best takeaway bacon roll in town. Ignore that big named chain across the road(s). This is where it's at morning-roll-wise...and cakes and sandwiches and coffee/tea and friendliness. Just shop local for heavens sake!

Baynes is what Baynes does. You cant go wrong with a barnes. It's good value and I've never had a bad bun from there

Best Square sausage (that's round) ever! Coffee is good beats Costa etc plus price is far cheaper. If you want a sausage roll that doesn't contain 4 stents worth of salt well ditch greggs and grab some from baynes

Baynes, great bakers. Love their Empire biscuits, cakes etc. Their rolls especially the Harvest ones are great. You have got the idea, I love this bakers.

Basic high street bakers with good selection of savory and sweet pastries

Best bakers in East Lothian, vegetarian options, good friendly service, open Sundays. Macaroni pies are delicious and their vegan sausage rolls are the best! Sandwiches nice and fresh and well filled. If I lived nearby I'd be the size of a house lol.

Fantastic traditional bakers that makes delicious bread rolls. Excellent cakes and tasty hot savories. A decent breakfast from here for me is a lorne sausage roll with brown sauce, decent thick sausage on one of their tasty rolls.

Staff let too many "people" (white van drivers, builders and council workers) in at once without masks. "People" than barge past as you leave. Food good.

Slow service never get what you ask for if you order more than 3 or 4 things at once .short on ham roll this time was 2 pork sausage rolls last time staff need to be more active. Will not be back here as they think you're getting paid to stand there all morning like them

Best rolls not like the soft fluffy type most other companies use and Lorne sausages great breakfast

I have attached use Baynes a lot when I've got the grandkids. I've had a cple of their afternoon tea boxes and highly recommend them.

The best mince pies my auld dad says & he is a tough customer. I love the bran scones & hubby loves the custard slices. Lovely friendly staff with a smile always.

A change fi the normal Greg's cold stuff slightly more expensive but quality shines through and if ask for a hot product at least it hot. Well worth a vist.
