Meet my friend here regularly for coffee. We are always made welcome and they serve lovely coffee. All covid restrictions adhered to

£12 for the Full Loft breakfast which consisted off 1 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 fried eggs, 1 black pudding, toms and a mushroom. Mediocre to say the least and very disappointing. Put the prices up and cut back the quality and quantity of what the Full Loft used to be. Won’t be back.

Right from the get go Jo & Nicola were both so responsive with all queries and navigating our plans. They were a huge part of our day and we received so many comments about the best wedding food people had tasted. Just wish I could do it all over again and taste everything again!

It’s rare that I take the time to post a review, but that was easily the worst Indian takeaway that I’ve ever had! The Korma dish had the consistency of porridge, and it tasted like lentil soup with a dash of coconut! The ‘King’ Prawns in the Dhansak dish were overcooked, undersized, and lacking in numbers. The Pilau Rice was stodgy and clumped in large balls. The Garlic Naan didn’t taste of garlic, and the Peshwari Naan was falling apart. Both breads were dry, £30-ish wasted! Dreadful.

Family lunch for 12 people reserved weeks before and were told we could eat upstairs in The Avenue at the time we made the booking. On arrival we were informed that the upstairs was being redecorated and that we'd have to eat in the bar. Had we been warned we would have changed our reservation. Food was a mixed bag: my calamares were not properly cooked - some were practically raw. My brother had patatas bravas which were also hard and undercooked. My sister in law's salad was apparently thrown together with the most basic and cheapest ingredients. The general consensus amongst the rest of the family was just OK and average, rather than anything more positive. Such a pity as we have eaten here 7 or 8 times and the quality has always been good. I hope things improve soon.

This pizza is the very best pizza in the whole of East Lothian!!! We have been going for over 15 years and returned today for the first time after the pandemic and it’s even better than ever. Amazing And now they deliver! Seriously the finest food in the area and the best customer service ever. An authentic Italian establishment. Thanks again!! Brian

The slow cooked BBQ beef bagel, from the Wee Green Hut outside, was epic! I could’ve eaten 2, maybe 3. I’ll be back for another one soon. Nice coffee too, friendly service and free parking in the car park.

The Scotch broth is just like the soup Scottish grannies who knew about cooking used to serve up. And the tomato bread, provided in more than expected quantity, is superb, Add to this the welcoming staff and very reasonable charges and you have a little gem of a cafe. But don't tell too many people, we want there to be a spare table when we are next passing through!

Had lunch here with a friend on Friday and it was beautiful. We both had the lunch 3 course offer and it did not disappoint. It was good enough portions. Loved the pate and fish was so good. 😊 Will definitely be back here again.

Phoned up for a bag of chips and 2x 3 mixed meat kebab which by the way isn’t £11 as stated in the pics, to be told it would be £46 🤭 staff felt they wanted to prove me wrong about the pricing (embarrassingly the pic they said didn’t exist was on the site) to then have another member of staff feel the need to tell me the price of each thing and how it’s gone up since covid 🤣🤣 bull!!! Service was shocking given for a collection I was still stood waiting for 10 mins before served my food…. It gets worse, the kebabs have an honest aftertaste of sick, not sure if the meat is fresh and as for the chips they were like eating an eraser. Strongly recommend you try elsewhere!!

Booked on their website night before and turned up and were given a number of options as to where to sit. Mark was our waiter and he was friendly, professional, on it - never left us too long and was attentive and kind. Mark - you are a credit to the restaurant! Not many as good as you about. I had the grilled salmon chimmichurri (?) with broccoli, crispy kale and new potatoes . I actually said to my mum, “if I died tomorrow I would be happy with that as my last meal”. Random thing to say, but it was absolutely delicious! And my kind of meal all in. Had the dark chocolate and cherry triffle - oofffttt had to share it with my Dad, it was delicious but big. The portions sizes are generous. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and amazing food. We will be back and highly recommend. Thanks again
