The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Central Scotland

Bohemian is the word that describes this place. Owner Al is an ex boxer with a light hand on the cuisine. Great breakfasts, good coffee and Sunday roasts plus Home baking. Dog and child friendly and very reasonable. Impromptu music sessions are liable on a Sunday and it’s the kind of place to sit and chill out. But wrap up warm. For those who like a challenge try the belly buster breakfast. I dare you! Newly opened. I hope it succeeds and wish it well. Will. E a breakfast regular and a lunch visitor too.

Faulty Towers dinner show was hilarious. What a great show with authentic funny characters from the TV comedy. Food was good but portions rather small.

Great hotel with average size rooms that are very well equipped with everything you could want or need; double bed, small table and chair suitable for a laptop, a kettle with selection of tea and coffee, an iron, a decent flat tv mounted on the wall that is compatible my mobile casting, coffee table with several chairs etc. The bathroom is also decent with a good shower. Plenty of power sockets and usb power too. The room was hot when I arrived but I was able to turn down the heating and it got pleasantly cool 😎 Rare these days. The free wifi is also good and fast. Most rooms seem to face the Loch/Clyde so a good view is almost assured. The restaurant is popular and seems to attract customers on its own, which isn't surprising as the food is an excellent pub-style offering at very reasonable prices.

Emma and David are worth visiting this bar for. You need an Emma in every pub and lucky for the orchid they have an Emma. So much fun. Make you feel like your home. If I could give more stars I would for the staff. Reasonable prices to win win

Went here for a night out for my first time in St Andrews and it was lovely in here, lovely staff and great atmosphere

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We spent 8 hours at Cafe Continental yesterday, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The lunch was lovely, and the new menu is impressively expansive, catering to a wide range of tastes. We had some dietary restrictions, but the staff handled them quickly and effectively, making sure we had everything we needed. What really stood out was how welcome and comfortable we were made to feel. The team was incredibly attentive and even went the extra mile to make custom cocktails that weren’t on the menu. It's rare to find such thoughtful service, and it really made our day special. We’ll definitely be back soon! Highly recommended!

We had a lovely coffee with cake and cheese scone,staff were friendly and welcoming.Venue was busy but staff made sure tables were cleared quickly so no one was waiting for any length of time.

Staff more interested in playing darts than serving customers. The food was average, dont waste your time and money here, there are plenty of outlets to choose from that will welcome your custom

We both had a small carvery. All the food was delicious, but we'd have preferred it to be a bit hotter. We had to wait a while at the counter to buy our drinks & our carvery tickets.

We have been going to Broxden for many years. Their buffet knocks spots off any of their competitors in the city including the Maltings whose breakfast was appalling. This venue has been a weekly visit with my mother in law for a long time. The staff although somtimes under unexpected pressures always find a solution. They have been a pleasure and we will not find this level of service anywhere else. Greene King this is not a good move.😢😢😢

Beautiful, cosy pub right by Stirling castle. We stopped for some lunch and everything was tasty and affordable and it had a really nice atmosphere.

I’m embarrassed (for the restaurant) to write this review. But here goes… We booked a table for six people for 2.30pm on Saturday. We were contacted at 1.48pm, telling us that they “had a problem” starting their shift (!) and that they would take us at 3.30pm… So we delayed our lunch for an hour. When we arrived at 3.30pm (to an empty restaurant), the waitress was surprised to see us. We mentioned our text which received a quizzical response from her. She then explained that firstly she had just started her shift, secondly the text hadn’t come from her and thirdly the chef had also just arrived. She said that they would “probably” start serving food after 4pm but that there were plenty of restaurants down the road who would have space for us. So we went to Pacos (down the road) and had a really excellent meal. On the way back up the road, we looked into the window of The Bothy and I was (un)surprised to see a couple of tables of customers with booze but no food. Whilst I am hopeful that we might have been served eventually, had we waited for the chef to get his/her act together, I am not certain that we’d have been served this side of Christmas - we’re currently in August - which is a shame since I can’t wait that long (I’m in charge of trifle this year). But seriously, this was bad communication and terrible customer service. Avoid this restaurant- go to Pacos instead!

Had the special roast beef for two on the Monday. Absolutely fab!

Finished a hike and popped in to see the place, ended up staying for a Sunday roast! It was amazing - huge plate with great beef, veg and tatties! Exactly what we needed. Great choices of drinks too and a cosy atmosphere!
