Muffin so good, coffee also. And very comfortable to get a breakfast

Staff seemed quite rude - I know it was busy but we had a slammed down mug on table after no teapots were available and asked if we could have a mug instead of a paper cup for tea. Iced coffee wasn’t very nice but muffin was tasty.

Really don't enjoy the only place to sit outside is a smoking section. Yuck.

My chocolate muffin tasted funny unfortunately :( but apart from that, it's a great place, very cosy with very good pastries and coffees and a great staff! :)

Not one to write such negativity reviews or places near me but Rubbish and appalled by the standard of service sadly, first time going here on a weekday, the choices were okay but looked cheaply put together. We Got the most unwelcoming reception, the girl with black hair was giving us sniders and daggers the whole time and same could be said with her other colleague but not near as bad, it was shocking service as a customer had to point me in the right direction of where my drink was! the staff just ignored me like some ghost. Drink was awful it was warm and cold!Tables not cleaned either. Won’t be back here.

I enjoyed a cold brew from here for the first time recently. Lovely independant cafe and waiting time wasnt long even though the que was big. Atmosphere great and views were nice also watching the world go by and catching up with a friend. Staff were all lovely.

Really nice little coffee place with good cakes and very good coffee.

Should be a nice cafe but service is truly awful. No gluten free food at all, no apology. Man in front waited five mins for small jug of cold milk while his tea went cold. Given coffee copiously slopped into saucer with no apology or remedy. Asked (with hint of irony) if they had serviettes, was pointed towards them but my obviously spilled coffee wasn’t sorted for me. Milk far too hot and coffee tasted burnt. Guys, this is a service industry not a coffee factory!!

I made a complaint regarding a service and they completely ignored me. This place didn’t appreciate me as a regular customer.

Good value coffee house near Caird Hall in Dundee. Quite quiet when we visited but pleasant enough. I liked the fact that they had porridge pots and I was offered the choice of this being made with water or milk.

It was quite cold inside and hand dryer in one toilet wasn't working. The coffee shop in Seagate usually has something not working too. We t in that one 2 weeks ago and no toilet paper in one and that was at 10:30 a.m.!

oh my goodness. What can I say about Henry’s coffee house that I haven’t said to the masses already. This is THE place to get your cup of Joe in the Dee. Or… FUNdee, as I call it. Enough jokes. There was an amazing barista there— her name, sadly, evades me. And I punish myself for it. But she had gorgeous blonde curly locks and, my oh my did my latte taste LIKE HEAVEN! Will be back and trust I will be investing.

I used to love this place: lovely coffee and gorgeous sweet treats. Sadly, it's gone downhill recently. I went in with my daughter yesterday, we were ignored by the staff and when we were eventually served, the girl was sullen and painfully slow. The toilets are filthy, in fact the whole place could do with a deep clean. I want to support local independent businesses but this simply isn't good enough. Sort your staff out.

Had a hot chocolate, very tasty although the mugs are not the most comfy to drink out of. Went mid afternoon and it was relatively busy but there was a good flow of people just coming in for a quick drink or take-away. Didn't try any of the food but there was a good variety and all good value for money.

Service slow, I mean REEEAAAALLLLYYYY slow. Nearly just left, wish I had. Ordered espresso macchiato, not sure what I got. Milk in coffee not foam on top but next to no foam. Tasted awful. Definitely won't be back

I had travelled on the early Aberdeen train to Dundee and was looking for a cafe that served bacon rolls. This cafe is very close to the Caird Hall if you know Dundee. It is very central, only about five minutes walk from the train station. It was a really good choice for me. The cafe was reasonably busy for a Monday morning. The lady took my order, I had a window seat, it was great to watch the world go by. My bacon roll and coffee cost me less than £7 which is pretty much standard these days. I suspect this cafe will be much busier at lunchtime. I certainly enjoyed my visit. If I visit Dundee again I would come back to this cafe.

Pretty poor, I am sorry to say. Less than average coffee, pretty shabby service, drab food and preposterously loud and dull music ( certainly at the seats at the back, anyway). Not good for a peaceful Sunday afternoon natter. Given the competition, this place needs to up its game considerably.

Drinks chiller not working so warm cans of juice , badly cracked coffe cup and weak coffee ,revolting toastie 《 they grilled it for less than a minute) and gubby interior .Pretty poor show for a city centre cafe

Busted here with my daughter for breakfast was disappointed to find the only things on offer were some bakery items or prepacked bacon /sausage bars staff were friendly , nice ambiance in cafe and good location but let down by lack of fresh food on offer

Really enjoyed our visit with family. All the young staff were super helpful and informative. I was surprised by all the great vegan and veggie options for sandwiches/toasties etc. I loved the vegan breakfast roll, complete with seitan 👌 teas and coffees all delicious, staff came to clear our table from extra cups etc to give us more room. Nice atmosphere, clean facilities and busy but chilled atmosphere. Already recommended to family and friends!

Great, fast service. Amazing atmosphere with the Batista's joking with each other and having amazingly radiant smiles. The furniture is amazing, and COMFORTABLE. A very welcoming place. My cortado tasted fabulous and the muffin was absolutely divine.

We were up here on holiday and stopped off on our way to our hotel as we fancied a cuppa.The cafe was nice and clean and the service was good.Mum had a toastie,which was a little undertoasted but she enjoyed the fillings.The coffee was nice tasting but not very hot.I had a beetroot latte,which was yucky(don't recommend)But that said its a nice change from your big chain places.

The coffee turns out bitter and sour. And all because the holder is not cleaned, but the old coffee is simply shaken out and new coffee is poured in, without preliminary cleaning. The nozzle of the coffee machine is not pre-washed after the previous brewing. After installing the holder into the nozzle, there is a long pause before starting the brewing process, which additionally burns the coffee, because the brewing group is very hot, and after installing the holder into the brewing group, you need to immediately press the button. This type of coffee brewing will not meet any barista standards. Today they actually made coffee in a glass cup, and when I reminded that I was taking coffee to go, they simply poured it into a paper cup, spilling half the coffee, and pretty much soaking fingers in it. In the end, I paid 3.25 for half a cup of sour, burnt coffee, which safely went into the trash. I won’t go there again, it’s better to drink instant coffee at home than to spend that kind of money on who knows what. And this is one of the best places in Dundee, other places are even worse!

Been before and it's been good but recently went in and the toastie was awful. Not at all worth the money that they charge.

Lovely staff and a spacious room to relax and enjoy the excellent coffee.

Used to come here regularly before the fire. Disappointing first visit back. Seemed really disorganised. Lack of communication between server and barista meant customer in front of me needed one of their drinks re-made 3 times which then caused a queue. Underside of saucer on one of my drinks was filthy, as the bar was messy. Hate that they push the tray with your food on it forward, whilst you wait for drinks then encourage customers to lean over your food shouting their orders and opening bags, wallets and purses etc. Seems really unhygenic.

This place advertises that it is Dog friendly which it is not, it should say instead that it only allows assistance dogs , avoid if you just looking for coffee with your Dog

It’s just random visit but worth .. such a amazing place.. value of money.. very calm and warm place to visit .. tasty cakes and muffins.

Nice cafe. Friendly staff. Descent coffee (large was VERY large 😀). Cakes were a bit dry, but maybe because it was towards the end of the day. Toilets were a bit messy...

Vanilla iced latte brought me back to the 90s when I only drank them. Its a late night haunt next to where the beatles played in Dundee, and there's an incredibly vigorous waterfall to watch ⌚️ out front. One day, when I'm brave, I may order a white chocolate frappe I didn't have food unless u count the cheese and onion crisps

I love this coffee shop. My friends and I have made this our favourite place to go to since it opened a few years back. Love the atmosphere and the staff. The coffee is good and always a good selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches/panini’s. I really miss it now that it’s temporarily closed so I don’t go to the city centre anymore as there is nowhere to go. Open again soon.

I ordered a soya latte and staff member made wrong coffee in a take away cup. I was kept waiting and ignored by staff and they were busy talking to a non member staff behind the counter making her own drink with long loose ginger hair. When I finally got my correct order still no apology or interaction ,still been ignored from staff as they were still talking to ginger haired female still behind counter. Appalling service I won't be back.

Little Gem of a place with great coffee

Tea was OK but carrot cake was dry outside especially (old?), poor flavour and texture and had coconut on it. Why do so many bakers ruin cakes with coconut? Not that there was much to ruin in this case and the tea eventually took the unpleasant flavour away.

Visited Saturday 13th August . Had delicious hot chocolate and tasty Banoffee muffin . Toilets were awful , dirty sinks , floors and disgusting WC.

I can honestly say, the staff in Henry's coffee house in city Square are absolutely amazing and they help loads.

Lovely mocha coffee & white mocha, lush carrot cake and the raspberry coconut slice was delicious too. Staff were very nice, quick service too. Wish i had taken a pic of the cake...but we had demolished them before i could!!!

Confusion with the order, confusion with the payment, so quite confusing.

Relaxed atmosphere, great coffee.

Wait time was a little longer than usual but the coffee was good and the Peanut Butter stack is well worth the wait.

Nice view onto Square. Friendly staff and nice to find a New York style bagel on menu although the bagel bun itself was more of a bread roll brioche type. It's difficult to find REAL bagels which are boiled and then baked. They do need to be made fresh daily.....

Open til later in the evening so it's good to sit and have some tea/coffee and read. Tea was expensive though, got one of those flower teas which was like £4 for a tea bag.

Tables too close together. I had to keep moving my chair to let another customer get behind me to another table. ☹ we were too close to the queue waiting to be served.

Not a good experience today. Said I could take my 2 wee dogs in then once we were eating our snacks, asked us to go and sit outside as dogs weren't allowed. Got some story about H&S shutting them down completely. As it was cold and damp outside and pigeons on tables I said we would leave as soon as we finished. Despite this we were harassed on 3 occasions to leave. No apology for wrong information to begin with. Very poor show .

We were looking forward to someplace we hadn't tried for a nice coffee and sit down. Although the coffee's were full of flavour (albeit expensive), the amount of time it took to get drinks marred the experience. Waiting 20 minutes after the order had been placed - as there only seemed to be one person serving and one functional work station - really puts you off going back somewhere.

Great place to sit and chill or people watch in the plaza in front of the Caird Hall. Very reasonable prices, good coffee and light snacks such as paninis and rolls etc. The staff were polite, prompt and well presented. Toilets available for customers, although the female toilets could of been a bit better looked after.

Was there for an interview, was fairly crowded but had a fantastic atmosphere.

Highly recommend cafe. Friendly staff and Cozy place. We ordered scone hot chocolate and vanilla Late. They were all tasty.

Their name is misleading; our coffee was short on both quantity and quality. There was little taste and it was very weak. Nor was it cheap...

A lovely evening visit for a cuppa, and really enjoyed. Good vibe, friendly staff and nice tea. Henry’s is a local company, with two shops in Dundee. Really enjoyed this warm cafe coming in from the cold. Good selection of teas, coffee, hot and cold drinks and lively looking cakes. Recommend this coffee shop.

Really nice toasted bagels, great milkshakes and good cakes. The staff are a little nippy especially the European sounding ones, they should be a little more patient. The presentation of the coffee is terrible it looks like someone dropped the cup. Please teach your staff how to pour the milk in. Other than that it's a nice experience I really want to like.

It's OK here for a quick cup of coffee/tea. Not too busy and convenient for town.
