Absolutely wonderful ! On time, delicious and quality food!

Lots of different vegan burgers which is very nice to see. I had the Thai version, it was tasty (nothing special though). My mom had fish and chips, but she felt like the fish tasted frozen. The staff was nice enough. The atmosphere was very busy and a bit rowdy on a Saturday afternoon.

Pipping hot, arrived when it said it would and great quality. Not the cheapest but well worth the money

The food here is simply superb. Excellent choice, and just sooooo tasty. Can't recommend it enough. Great, quick, friendly service, good prices, and as I say the foood.......! Wonderful

Went for an evening meal and drinks with nine of my friends. The food was amazing, and so was the atmosphere. Staff were very friendly with great humour and personalities . Music was good too! We had such a great time we stayed all night. Thanks every one can't wait to return.

Visited for food and drinks with a friend on Friday 4th August. This was our first visit and with it being a Friday we had prebooked a table. It was ready for us arriving however it was sticky as was the menus that were brought over to our table. Good selection of standard pub grub available along with some nice sounding cocktails. My friend had the steak pie and I had the macaroni. We both agreed that the food was tasty and also generously portioned. However we both felt that the cocktails were a let down. We would normally have had a few cocktails after our meal but instead opted to go elsewhere. Service was ok but no check back as to how our meals were etc. A good clean and a bit of tlc (replacing of chairs that had ripped coverings etc) along with a review of the cocktails would entice me back for a second visit.

Food was delicious arrived hot and was nicely cooked. Will order again.

Papa Jacques is somewhere we visit frequently for food and each and every time we leave feeling satisfied and impressed. Really good food, and a great selection of choice on the menu. Would recommend getting a cocktail as well, there is many to choose from. Staff are always friendly and attentive!

We booked Papa Jacques Couture Room in October 2022 for a Celebration of Life to take place for our parents in May. We were worried about not having everything in place - no deposit? No contract? No worries! The staff were absolutely incredible, especially Abi, who had our backs from the start. The place was perfect for a small party of about 30 people. The food was incredible, and when about a dozen extra people showed up, there was no panic (by staff - I did!), and there was plenty for everyone. Our bartenders were friendly and everything was just perfect. We were allowed to bring in some flowers and sweets (we shared the leftovers with staff) and the Papa Jacques team worked with us to bring things in early so we didn't have to drag in too much on the day. Overall, I give them top marks for their professionalism, pricing, quality of food and drink, and the calibre of their staff. Thank you to everyone who made the night so special.

We visit Broughty Ferry every year for a family weekend and sadly this was one of the worst meals yet! When we arrived there were no staff behind the bar, and throughout the night the staff seemed to lack any organisation. The dinner arrived quickly but it was definitely not home cooked. The meatballs pasta was out of a jar, and the scampi was practically non existence. We had to ask the staff several times for the bill as they were also understaffed. I wouldn’t recommend for family’s!

Jay was a fab waiter! Large menu to pick from with fair prices. Portions very large so come hungry! Went on a Wednesday so pretty quiet but did not notice as I will with good company 😀

Fish tasted of very poor quality. Everything was so soooo overly greasy. Going back to my usual fish and chop shop. Won’t deviate again.

When you think of a takeaway, you think Chinese, or Pizza. I really wanted a home cooked meal and this didn’t disappoint! Absolutely outstanding steak pie! Have ordered before and would 100% order again!! 🥧 🤤

Ordered the peppered chicken. Not good. Whole peppercorns and saturated in sauce. Its almost like soup. I to had drain it. Not worth the money. Im picking around bits. Cant tase the chicken, mushrooms or onions. Just peppercorns. Its going in the bin. Chips are good. Garlic bread good. Thats it. £15 for some chips and garlic bread.

The food could have been hotter. Packaging was sparse so let the food go cold. The batter was rather soggy but the fish inside was tasty. I expected higher quality in view of the high price. Will try elsewhere next time.

Very enjoyable quality food, especially the haggis fritters mmmm , macaroni could have had a bit more cheese and less cheese sauce as they cheese sauce wasn't very cheesy but a minor thing

10/10 every time with quick delivery

My order was delivered within half an hour. Delivery charge was only £2.49. I ordered Cajun chicken pasta which came with garlic bread. It was delicious. I have no complaints whatsoever.

Advertised as a family friendly pub but bar staff ignored constant shouting and swearing despite the fact a toddler was present. When confronted with the issue the bar staff turned very aggressive and claimed they had "dealt with it" and then threatens violence. Drug taking was also witnessed in toilets and under age drinkers were observed. Over priced drinks which tasted watered sown. Avoid like THE PLAGUE

we rec'd wrong item ordered lasagne rec'd macaroni phoned papa Jacques advised they can put lasagne on if we could collect or claim refund we have claimed refund awaiting reply from just eat

Highly recommend, friendly staff, great tasting food and a large portion. Service is good and the food does not take long. I recommend the fish and chips.

Steak in steak pie was horrible. Fatty and chewy. Chips were at bottom of container so completely covered in the watery gravy so soggy. Really disappointed. Cheesecake was only decent thing

Was there for tea with friends early Saturday evening. The noise was incredible. It was full of kids who should have been age checked and were wearing next to nothing. And I mean nothing. I have seen people on a beach wearing more. I actually saw girls private bits it was that bad. They were screaming, shouting, jumping around and swearing. It was so bad we couldn’t hear anything each other was saying. Staff did not seem to bother - mainly as they were nearly as young as them. It also didn’t help that tvs were blaring with football on. I have never bothered about noise and teenagers before but this was incredible. We have all been there when we were younger but never to that extreme. The food was ok but because of the total chaos we left early to drink elsewhere. We couldn’t stand it any longer. Which meant they missed out on our custom. Also, the place could do with a good clean - just felt pretty grubby.

Went to Papa Jacques after being told to try the chicken goujons have to say they did not disappoint nice and friendly and atmosphere I would recommend this bar to anyone going to Broughty Ferry for a day out 10 /10

Ordered Steak Pie there was way way too much "Gravy" if you can call it that as it was tasteless!! Even though it was all over the other food there was still far too much chips were all soggy in it

Excellent tonight. Burgers and chips for these two, mock duck spring rolls for me. Those two said the burgers were really good, and i loved the spring rolls so much i could have eaten another 4 of them. Delivered earlier than expected, which was great, and everything was piping hot. Thanks!

They are not listening to written instructions. Steak pie was for an autistic person who cannot deal with veg touching gravy. Meal was ruined. Not acceptable.

Took a friend's son in his wheelchair, and had lunch. It was great, lots of choice on the menu, and excellent staff. Very accommodating and a nice setting. We will definitely be back. Would be nice to see some salads on the menu for those that can't or won't eat anything else !

First time here was very impressed food was great huge portions and great value for money had the cajun chicken panini came with a mountain of chips and salad was delicious. The staff were very nice my brother is in a wheelchair and goes here when he in the area they are very pleasant with him too . Would highly recommend.

Veggie burger was a bog standard, factory-produced patty. Chips were all stuck together as if someone had poured glue on them. Disappointing.

Ordered Philli Steak and Peppered Chicken, slightly disappointed, food came in one container which was surprising considering the price, chicken overcooked and had lots of sauce which in turn made the chips soggy and on the menu philli steak was noted to have salad and corn wraps included however only came with rice, overall disappointed as feel this was overpriced and not as per the usual quality.

So I ordered a Cajun chicken panini it was awful not even edible over half a Cajun spice jar in it wasn’t nice ended up just picking the chicken bits out it. Not happy luckily my partners food was okay.

Steak was really nice. Only complaint was the chips were very over cooked. Spoilt the meal a bit. Would have been better if there was potatoes as an option. Sticky Toffee Pudding was outstanding.

Food from here is always hot fresh and very tasty. Had the chicken and bacon panini very tasty. Love their peppercorn sauce too

These two enjoyed their burgers, i thought the chips were a bit overly reheated, i managed to stab my mouth approx 8 times on bones ( i know this is natural for fish, but found 8 at less than half way through a little much ) and the batter was extremely greasy. Partner and son both loved their cheese burgers, and my partner said he really enjoyed his chips. Son didn't eat them. My belly isn't happy, seems to be wanting to reject what's in it.

Food fantastic and always delivered on time. Could do with having a kids menu as portions too big for kids but they like the chicken goujon starters. Definitely recommend.

This is the first time we’ve ordered from here. It was excellent. The delivery arrived on time, the food was tasty and hot and we were given good sized portions. It wasn’t soggy like some other takeaways. We will definitely be ordering from here again.
