Needed a wee coffee break after a few stressful days. I sat in with a mocha, cheese and ham panini and a warm croissant. Staff are welcoming and smiley. I needed a smile today, few wee extras with my croissant and were nice enough to warm it up. Nice chill peaceful space upstairs, for only having 2 members of staff on they are doing the best they can, tables and everything cleaned when they can in between customers. I'll be back thank you ☕

The service when ordering is very strange. Instead of taking the whole order the server keeps running away after each item is ordered. This doesn't really leave any chance to ask for extra as for example different milk if needed for dietary requirements. The food was ok and the rest of the service was quick. The atmosphere is a bit like a school cafeteria.

This place is fabulous and we highly recommend you visit. The food, the staff, the owners are so welcoming and friendly. Very attentive. We ate in the bar as we have a dog, but i believe the menu's the same as the restaurant. Gorgeous food, great choice and extremely tasty. We had the Beef Special, that had a sauce to die for, and the veggie burger, so tasty . We had icecream and Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert...all fabulous. Definitely recommended you visit.

Way to much butter on the rolls, size of product is very small considering it's the most expensive bakers in town as well, so you pay more for less! Excellent deal for the business not so for the consumer, the taste of the food tho can't be faulted it is delicious I give them that one, even better than baynes on some items. Coffees are actually worse than Greg's and that's hard to do! As Greg's is probably the worst in all categories, we'll almost all as there coffee is actually half decent where as again fishers offers the smallest coffee cups at a higher price which taste worse 🤣🤣, all in all I visit rarely for a lovely cake or a decent pie but 9 out of 10 times il walk the extra 4 mins up the road to baynes.

Stopped by today hoping for a late lunch after walking from Aberdour. After realising that only coffees/teas and cakes were on offer, we swithered on whether to stay or find somewhere else for lunch. Glad to say we stayed and shared the best yum-yum and pistachio and lemon blondie (the latter being out of this world!). Lovely cups of tea to wash it down. The staff were friendly, cheery and helpful.

Fabulous coffee .. with amazingly tasty brunches of Bombay eggs on bagels and a poached eggs on sourdough toast .. great service .. good location .. (bit cool on a cold day, but guessing it’s an expensive place to keep warm) .. one little pet dislike .. cold plates with hot food .. ok (ish) with the toasted bagel Bombay eggs, but poached eggs on toast would be better on warm plates … other than that it would have been a 5/5 🌟 …

Paid the cafe prices to sit in with kids and then spent 20 minutes surrounded by two families standing gassing - no attempt to manage the place from staff. Very uncomfortable fighting your way through non paying customers just to get to the toilet. Get a takeaway or go round the corner

Went for dinner at the 1601 Restaurant and left disappointed. No drink mats on tables, had to ask twice for cutlery, napkins and condiments, and food not as described.

. . . warm welcome, accommodating. We enjoyed our coffees and refreshments whilst doing research in a conducive environment. This is a lovely place and we love the smell of books! . . . a peaceful retreat on a Sunday morning with like-minded.

We stopped by 4 Coo Wynd for a quick bite and were pleasantly surprised. The chicken coo wing tenders were really nice—looked and tasted quite homemade. The onion rings were definitely homemade and added to the experience. Everything was simple, surprising, and good. Looking forward to next time!
