Absolutely terrible customer experience. Do not go here! First visit today. Ordered a latte and scrambled eggs on toast. Latte came almost immediately but after nearly 30 minutes and with everyone who came after me already eating their food I decided to pay for my latte (which I had only ordered to accompany my food). And leave. Lucky I didn’t wait an hour as at the til I complained but was told the kitchen had never received my food order as it had been ‘spiked’ despite getting cutlery and condiments brought to my table. Left very disappointed and hungry to half hearted apologies.

Fancied visiting here as I'm a fan of their sister cafe The Fork & Mustard. We were told to wait until the table was cleaned before sitting, the young girl that was doing the cleaning had no customer service skills whatsoever and we found that off putting. Anyway, it then took around 25 minutes for two bowls of soups to arrive which seemed pretty slow in our opinion. The soup itself was nothing special and the coffees were pretty average. At the end of our visit we went to pay and very loudly the lady at the till asked if I wanted to pay a tip on card which is the first time I've ever experienced that and found it pretty rude. I doubt we will visit again.

Very disappointed with service, loudly stating that someone (us) had sat at a table (no sign saying wait to be served or reserved sign on table, though one on table next to it). Server told us sharply that she needed table back by 1.40, no apology, no explanation. Then came back to state sharply that card machine was off and we had to pay by cash. Food arrived, freshly cooked and tasty, though when I was half way through a different server said could she take away our empty?? plates at the same time as lifting them and I had to grab my plate and state no, I’m still eating! No apology n made me feel as if I was in the wrong. Not a nice experience and I doubt I will go back if this is typical

My first visit to this cosy cafe today will definitely not be my last! Very friendly & attentive service, great cake and coffee, warm, comfy & relaxing atmosphere with quirky and amusing decor. Dog friendly as well, so next time, my wife and I will take wee cheeky face along for brunch or lunch. My new numero uno cafe in Falkirk!

We were staying in Falkirk for a few days and looked up The Fork & Mustard as a good place for breakfast. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the cafe was full. They did however point us in the direction of their sister cafe and we happily paid a visit. The food and service was exceptional. Really friendly staff, great service and a full Scottish that was something else. All the ingredients were there - link and Lorne sausage, bacon, haggis, Stornoway black pudding, tatty scone, eggs, beans etc and all cooked perfectly. We went back again the following day and tbf, if they had been open on Sundays, we would have gone a third time ! We would highly recommend this place for anyone stopping off in Falkirk.

We found this a bit pricey. However the food was excellent. The service was good. Very comfy. What really angered me was when I paid. I used my card and the assistant asked if I'd like to add extra for a tip. I've often seen that written on the card machine but it's the first time I've been asked for money. Paying by cash I happily drop a bit of change into a dish but on this occasion I was using my card. Homeless people ask me for money as do drunks and I give freely, but being asked for money here struck me as downright cheeky.

Have been to the fork and mustard at the other side of town, this is their sister cafe. Great staff and really busy Saturday morning for breakfast, which is a great sign! Food was tasty and freshly made, fresh coffee and it is really responsibly priced. Sit in or take away, we sat in, quirky inside, small but good few tables and not crammed in, so comfortable. We’ll be here more often as its a small local business and serves good food.

Great cafe with amazing friendly staff. Food here was best I’ve had in a long time. I had the balmoral burger and was cooked to perfection with homemade onion rings. My vegan friend was overwhelmed with the choice but went for a burger and was so happy as she could also have the onion rings. Food was so good we’re meeting again next week but going for full breakfasts. Definitely my go to place in Falkirk now

Dropped in for lunch with my american pool chum and a catch up. We looked over the menu and both opted for toasties both cheese and onion with coleslaw on the side. We were not disappointed they were loaded with cheese and the coleslaw had a lovely homemade flavour. We had cans of juice to wash down our food perfectly chilled. Overall total satisfaction and would recommend to anyone. Will definetely be back soon. 10/10.

Came here for breakfast several times while visiting family in falkirk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. it gets pretty busy but there is a small waiting area if needed. There was one morning when we decided to go elsewhere because the wait would've been too long due to how many people were waiting for tables. That was unfortunate but of course a good venue will face that problem sometimes, so can't really complain. They have a good selection of cakes, i didn't try any cakes myself but my mum and her friend did and they said they were very good. The coffee also is very good. My only criticisms are that they don't ask how you want your egg to be served- I like it overeasy but they serve overhard as standard. However I did not ask them to cook it overeasy, they probably would've if I did but i forgot each morning until my breakfast arrived. on one of the mornings the waitress didn't ask if I wanted my toast to be white or brown, but of course making one mistake shouldn't be what the place is judged on. other than these small issues the experience of central perk was very good. I love the fact that it is named after friends too!
