The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Argyll & Bute Central Scotland

We stopped by on a visit to Tarbert from Portavadie. It was late morning so only had some coffee & soup. Food & service were excellent - the Cullen Skink was superb. Very good range of gluten free options which we needed for 1 of our party.

Beautiful location n food though missed the fish n chip

Went in for breakfast and received a bagel that was soaking wet with microwaved egg that cost £8. Asked for a toasted scone and was told it could be microwaved - not sure why it would be hard to pop it in the toaster or under grill considering you can get toasted ciabatta etc for lunch. Coffees were fine, very very hot. Don’t think we’d return which is a shame considering all the good reviews!

The cafe is comfortable and the food is surprisingly good. The Cullen Skink soup is delicious. The sandwiches are also very good. The staff is attentive.

Absolutely amazing ice cream! My wife had Fudge and Salted Caramel, and I had Turkish Delight. If you are looking for really creamy and tasty ice cream, I highly recommend The Pokey Hat. Will definitely be going back.

Another amazing meal at the Ardentinny. Food is top notch, menu changes frequently, owners are delightful, helpful and know how to cook. Love visiting when up nearby on holiday. Never disappoints. Great location. Dog friendly. Tonight had a tasty duck dish, oxtail and beef curry and baked cod with yummy veg. Keep up the good work, you deserve to do well.

We visited in the cold winter and had really nice freshly cooked fish and chips and a chat with the owner and sone locals. Picked up some good local tips.

Absolutely lovely place with lots of seating. Excellent, well trained staff and super friendly. Home baking and meals, excellent coffee and tea too. Just live this cafe.

We are staying at Highfield Holidays. We have just eaten your Tralee Bay Fish n Chips. My husband, Geoff, picked them up. They were absolutely delicious. The best I’ve tasted for a long time. I normally leave some batter but I ate every morsel. The fish were so fresh. Thank you.

Lovely home baked scones, cakes, the best homemade soup. So nice to find this place and loved the cake cupboard with honesty jar for out of hours delights. Loved the biscoff tiffin.. Will highly recommend this place to others. Exceptional food, thank you

We’ve been multiple times before and visited again a couple of times on our recent Sept/ Oct holiday and loved the ice cream. Unfortunately they didn’t have the yoghurt based ice cream that my partner loves. They were also closed a couple of times when we tried to get another.

Came here when I was home. Food was good as was the service. Recommend a visit if you are in Dunoon 👍

1st Visit to Bute, looking for relaxed,budget friendly place for Sat evening dinner, arrived 6.45pm perfect time for last orders at 7pm... Really efficient, friendly service. Looking at food other diners were having was fun as all cooked fresh to order, piping hot & tasty. Bring your own bottle for £3 corkage charge , a few tables brought their own wine along. Great menu variety 😋, highly recommend as a lovely relaxed dining experience which won't break the bank.

Great food, fabulous coffee, warm and welcoming friendly owner/ staff. When I visit the island, this is my “go to” cafe. Never disappoints.
