What an amazing place! Just like walking into a Victorian sitting room. Very warm welcome. Had a home made pizza (which had tasty home cooked ham in abundance) fries, homemade cake and a bottomless pot of tea. We stayed for ages chatting to the owners and fellow diners. Everyone so friendly and welcoming. We were so sorry we were passing through on a tour of Ireland and couldn't return.

Excellent all round 10/10 great location great hosts, would make a return visit a lot of business could learn a few things from this kind of customer service. Excellent.

Great little bakery tucked in the centre of the town which caters for sit in and takeaway. Their pancakes and sandwiches are by far the best and freshest in the town for consuming. Cakes and buns are also amazing (try the caramel squares)

Can't say enough about the Flax, from the cosy, olde worlde surroundings, the plus of having a river beside it has to have one of the best settings. Good varied menu with lots of really nice and different choices than the usual run of the mill cafes. Service is exceptional. p.s they do their version of an Ulster Fry which is absolutely a belly buster LOL, my husband had difficulty finishing it and I know I would have struggle to eat half of it. Highly recommend this lovely cafe.

Called here on my way through the valley to Sion Mills and beyond. Sampled their scones and tray bakes and they tasted as good as they looked. I understand that most, if not all, are baked in-house. Will certainly call there again should I be in the general area.

Usually we love ljs but today was not great. Firstly the Christmas music was so loud we could hardly hear ourselves speak to eachother. Wayyyyy too loud! 2nd another different menu...we asked for gougons with no dip or side salad.... we GOT dip and side salad which had to be wiped of the plate with a napkin. I ordered a portion of salt and chilli fries... took about 5 spoonfuls and left half the bowl as the amount of salt on it was actually hurting my throat. Lastly when goin to the bathroom, no toilet roll in either cubical... thank goodness I had tissues in my bag, Unfortunately it put us of going for food and somewhere we won't go back to.

Food really good ive been there twice in the last 4 months , the only thing that lets them down is the service, really bad at clearing tables etc , asked 4 times for the bill ..gets really annoying.....

What an amazing deal...3 courses for £15! Staff ✅️ Food ✅️ Value ✅️ Everything was perfect! Never had a bill of £34 in total (£4 steak supp) since early 2000's Highly recommend

Myself and my husband stayed at Apparo boutique hotel for the weekend We had a fantastic stay. The room was great and the bed really comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant which was fantastic with a really good menu. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Went here today with my friend. Waited 15 minutes to get our order taken. Another 25 minutes for my friends tea and scone to be brought to him followed by another 10 minutes for my 5 piece fry breakfast to be brought out to me. I can say if I knew I'd be waiting a total of 35 minutes for the size of my fry I'd not have bothered. Now I can say the food was tasty very tasty but the portion size was small. After waiting that amount of time it would have been nice to have my poached egg cooked properly. The woman who brought me my fry didn't speak to me or even make eye contact with me which I found very rude. Overall the service was very slow, some staff members don't come across as very friendly. There didn't seem to be much attentiveness to customers and a bit to laid back. I probably won't be back here again.

I heard about this place from a few friends, not disappointed, couldn't fault nothing, I will be back. I would recommend.

What has happened to your pancakes. The original version was much nicer. Are you buying of sunblest???

Not happy got a takeout for the kids the chips were cooked in dirty oil. The colour and taste was completely unacceptable for £6. I wish i had checked inside the containers before I left the building.

Food was great. Nice atmosphere and staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Stopped here for a coffee. Staff gave very promptt service. Clean and friendly restaurant which the locals were frequenting. Coffee of a high standard & complimentary shortbread given also
