The food is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful

I went in for a lunch with my friends, the service was mediocre and I ordered the honey prawn tacos that looked nice on their Instagram, with loads of sauce and flavour. I asked for no coleslaw and what came to the table were six dry prawns served on two stale slices of tortillas with not a drop of sauce. Everyone at the table was in disbelief that slims would be proud to serve something so pathetic. I was charged £7.50 for this, I’m not one for reviewing places, but this was disgraceful and nothing but a scam

Lovely food, friendly staff and reasonably priced.

We had a really long wait when others in after us got served first . Then I got the completely wrong order !!! I couldn't wait for another 30 minutes so disappointed I kept it. They gave us 10% discount . Rather disappointing considering it was their mistake .

Stopped off for a coffee/tea break with a group of cyclists. Lovely food and very pleasant and courteous staff. Will definitely return 🙂

Outstanding, well cooked food. Well portioned and flavored. My only critic is that I feel so bad for the floor staff who are understaffed. They do a great crew but you can see they are under pressure which takes away from the guest experience. Highly recommended. Delicious and tasty.

Was here yesterday evening and the food was just amazing! Perfectly cooked steak in the korean noodle bowl and the salmon skin was delicious! So cripsy. Yum! Highly recommend 👌

New menu is a huge disappointment.Satay chicken is being served with a few salad leaves instead of vegetables.Now you can buy them separately for about 5 quid. I lost my favourite wee restaurant in the town:(

I used to adore Slims. But I was absolutely gutted to see that they changed the menu recently and no longer serve my favourite breakfast. 😭💔 They removed the vegan sausages and white pudding. It's mainly halloumi, avocado and kale now for the veggie options and I don't like any of those. Talk about disappointed! 😞

The food is sooo good at Slim's Healthy Kitchen, it should be compulsory for all adults to eat here..

I’ve had to write so many awful reviews lately that I’ve more or less stopped… the few good places tend to be bunged (so can’t really handle any more praise), and there are just too many bad ones to keep up. There’s the odd exception though. Yesterday we found ourselves in Magherafelt (well… it was foggy, your Honour), desperately looking for somewhere inspiring to eat. Now I love a good fry, fish and chips etc, as much as the next man. Or possibly more. But what I really like to find is places that do something a little healthier, more exotic, whatever. And what a pleasant surprise Slim’s was. I had a delicious meal of strips of beef, stir-fried with a delicious sticky sauce, some vegetables etc (not on the online menu, and I can’t remember what it was called – a bit like teriyaki). My girlfriend struggles with certain food combinations, so couldn’t handle the specific way her Katsu curry was prepared – the waitress was unbelievably helpful, and got it redone in the kitchen. We loved this place. What stood out above all was the service – the young waitresses were the friendliest, most cheerful we’ve come across in a long time, and really left us smiling.

I ordered the pulled BBQ chicken flatbread, which came with a piece of flatbread a lot of bbq sauce covered chicken on it and alot of rocket lettuce, along with some halloumi cheese which has honey and seeds on it , and i also ordered a Coke Zero, all of this food was fantastic! I loved it so much and I will definitely be coming back here!

Enjoyed nice food but unfortunately sat for half an hour waiting for someone to clear table and take dessert/ coffee order. No-one came and I think coffee was off the menu due to coffee machine being cleaned. No apology

Nice find. Not at all what I expected inside when walking past it. It's much bigger and restaurant like inside than I thought. Nice food choices, didn't feel like heavy unhealthy food.

Stopped for coffee and cakes with my parents and daughter. Staff friendly and efficient, coffee great and lovely cakes. Very clean and cosy. We'd certainly go again when back home. A credit to the town.

Service was excellent, food was presented nicely, would recommend the steak wrap with chilli sauce and fries!

This would not look out of place as a trendy city bar. Really well presented and a lot of thought had gone onto the decor and menu. Backed up by friendly staff and a really nice experience. We stopped here for breakfast before heading up to Sperrins for a hike and well worth the trip.

Amazing menu caters for vegetarians and lots of choices. Staff friendly smart and very helpful; happy to make allowances for special requests. The food is well presented and is full of flavour especially the stack wrap! Booths for seating at the back fully air conditioned, relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend anytime of day.

If you are any in the vicinity of Magherafelt, it's worth going to Slims. Plenty of food on your plates to enjoy. Staff very polite and helpful no matter what you ask for. Well Done Staff. EXCELLENT.

Me and my Mum called in for lunch today. It was absolutely beautiful! The decor was stunning and the staff very friendly and helpful. Food was served really quickly and didn't disappoint at all. It would be useful if the menu was available to view from outside too as we had to come in and ask for a look at it before we decided if we would dine there. But I cannot fault Slim's at all, and I wish we lived closer so we could enjoy it more often!

Quick friendly service Nicely clean and modern my decorated venue with current music playing. Limited menu of wraps & bowls of noodles / katsu curry style My don had a wrap & a side of seeet potato fries all tasty but just not enough food. My katsu curry was bland and a starter size portion We enjoyed our food ish but left and went straight to KFC as still hungry So ok good but overpriced and smell portions We would not return

Wouldn’t return after that sub par food that I received today, the meal was tiny for the price and the meal was either dry or burnt. Gary needs to get involved and bring the standard back up again

My daughter and I are frequent customers of Slims. We went out today as a family and friends and as usual, food and service was just fantastic. Vegan options are great. Staff are lovely and always take the time for a chat.

Popped in for a quick lite lunch and went for the special of soup and sourdough bread. Just something simple and had no complaints, soup was lovely and well seasoned and bread was great. Server's are always courteous.

If I could give minus stars I would! Staff member was rude unhelpful & had literally no idea how to accommodate! Was told No vegan breakfast options & its Belfast branches fault, asked for sourdough tomato mushroom & wilted spinach, not a clue between them, put dairy butter on my toast and didn’t wilt the spinach! Just shocking lack of customer service!! *In response to your response! I received a message stating that this. Was a franchise & would pass it along, not sure how this was sorting out the issue? Disappointing response from slims.

Nice spot...Good food...bit pricey though

I love this place. Food is lovely, servers are so polite and friendly. Menu a little pricey compared to their competitors but the quality of the food makes it worth it. The kids love the surroundings, they enjoy bantering with the staff. Plus in my opinion their coffee is a tied first with another (I won't say who) based in the town.

Arrived in Magherafelt on business and my hotel wasn't serving food so went for a walk and found this place. Although it was just about to close for the night, the very friendly girl at the counter said I could choose from a limited menu so I managed to order a lovely chicken katsu which arrived in less than 5 minutes and was very tasty. Thank you very much for feeding a hungry traveller :)Dan

My friend and I ordered the Jerk chicken wrap with a side of chips. The wrap was truly awful and tasteless. There was a lack of seasoning or flavour, meanwhile the vegetables were soggy. We could not finish the wrap, which is a real waste considering it was 8 pounds!!! I expect edible food quality food when I spend this much money on a small wrap. Very disappointing. On a positive, the staff were friendly and the delivery was on time.

We dropped in for a brief coffee break so we haven't tried the meals yet. The coffee was very good and, importantly, hot. The chocolate brownie was moist and tasty, with chips of good quality chocolate. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was good.The menu was interesting, with clear nutritional information about each dish (carbs, Kcals, fat, etc.). We will be back to investigate and I wouldn't be surprised if our rating rises afterwards.

I visited the restaurant on Sunday 13th September and ordered Bang bang chicken salad and stir fry greens. Whilst it tasted lovely, within ten minutes of leaving the restaurant I experienced severe stomach cramps to the point of being in tears. Over the next two days I was off work with nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. I contacted Slims to let them know and was passed from person to person, indicating to me nobody wanted to deal with my issue. I was finally told there was nothing they could do about it. Slim’s have lost a loyal customer. I will not be back.

Stopped off on a cycle ride today for a welcome lunch. Great burgers and loved the choices you can make with sides and sauces. Prompt and friendly service. We were made to feel very welcome.

We visited Slims for a girlie lunch catch up and it was lovely. The food was really good and reasonable price. The slims bowls are great. Love the sweet potato fries. Service was very efficient. I will definitely be visiting again.

When we arrived, the server with Blonde hair told his where to go and sit, and didn't show us to our table like youd expect in a restaurant. We had to squeeze in between other groups beside each other as it was quite busy when we entered. As soon as they took our orders, a few tables became available behind us and it would have been nice to be offered them rather than sitting squeezed between people on a high table and high chairs. After that though, the brunette server was very nice and provided service with a smile. The food was nice, and we would order from the all day menu again.

A healthy dinner with fresh ingredients is what we wanted and got. We had off the 500 calorie menu, I had prawn dish served with rice, my daughter had chicken curry and rice both had great flavour, beautiful vegetables and were good sized portions. To make it even better only £5 per meal as before 5. What’s not to like. Amazing.

First time here and it was great. Seated quickly and good choice of food on the menu. A great range of healthy foods that tasted delicious. Would highly recommend and would go back if in the area.

We went as a family and with friends on three separate occasions. Each time I had the steak and halloumi wrap (£10.95), which was cooked exactly to my liking and was very tasty. I had this with sweet potato fries (£3.50) as a side at each visit. On my third visit I had the Peanut Butter Bananza Shake (£5.50) and it was delicious, although found that as a whole my meal was very filling when the milkshake was included so a side between two would have been suffice. We didnt need to book, service was good and highchairs are readily available.

Visited this busy restaurant for lunch. Variety of seating with large comfortable cushions. Great menu with a lot of choice. Staff young and efficient. Food arrived promptly, hot and well presented. Beautiful flavours and excellent portions. Beautiful. Can’t wait for next visit, want to try entire menu.

Yesterday my poached eggs 🍳 swimming 🏊‍♀️ with water- my friend asked waitress to changed them - but I eat one of them New poached eggs 🍳 arrived with a very strong smell of vinegar- I tried one and I thought that the chicken 🐓 was growing up only with vinegar 🤢 If the chef 👨‍🍳 can’t make a poached eggs 🍳 what can he do?

Great for a quick takeaway or sit in meal. Joker smoothies are class! More expensive than your regular cafe but the food is marketed as healthy which is always a little bit more nowadays.

It is alright but doesn't have a great menu as most was spicy. It hadn't the greatest of service as we only got to order 35 minutes into the meal. I ordered beans on toast. It was actually pretty good! Food is alright. Needs to put the children's menu on the normal menu as my daughter was looking for it and we had to ask twice for it and it never came so she ordered off the breakfast menu instead. Overall it was ok.

Staff are very friendly. Food cooked fresh to order and absolutely beautiful. I got the pizza of the month which was chicken sweet corn red onion and bbq sauce. Was to die for and the other half got the salmon, roast garlic and chilli mash and said it was absolutely gorgeous.

Fantastic menu and reasonably priced. A pleasant change to see actual chicken in the kids chicken goujons. I cannot recommend highly enough the salmon egg and avocado salad. A perfect lunch. Elaine had the sizzling chicken satay with rice which was also yum diddly yum yum! The kids both cleared the plates as did the big ones.... Oh...and the coffee is lovely too. Hopefully Mid Ulster will support. See ye again soon.

Popped in for a bite before my brothers wedding on Saturday. Staff were fantastic. We had the steak and Halloumi wrap and the Thai chicken burger. Amazing flavours and oh so tasty. Please set up shop in England. Decor was lovely also. Highly recommended.

A good variety of vegetarian options and also the meat ones are good as well, it was a nice find, and would visit again.
