Nosh Cafe in Magherafelt

Not happy got a takeout for the kids the chips were cooked in dirty oil. The colour and taste was completely unacceptable for £6. I wish i had checked inside the containers before I left the building.

The large fry was really nice, would definitely recommend. Well done to the cooks and waiters for giving me an excellent breakfast .

Great little cafe. Weirdly wasn't open on a Sunday.

A very busy place indeed, fast service, the pepper burger is a must.

Great Sevice and brilliant food, ever so slightly pricey but in other words worth it, definitely recommend for lunch/dinner and their chips are just 🤌🤌

What a great spot. The food is always soo good. The girls that work there are always really friendly and helpful. The service is fast and efficient. There is always a lovely atmosphere. The new menu is really great. I frequently visit for lunch and will continue. I’ve never had a bad meal in it. Also very reasonably priced. There chips are amazing really good. You might not think it looks very fancy on the outside from the street but the food is first class.

I got their so called turkey and ham dinner, it was very poor indeed razor thin carrots and a few peas the dinner was tasteless and it wasn't cooked fresh it was microwaved for this and small lucozade it was £11.95 I wouldn't mind paying if it was fresh and eatable and a proper turkey and ham dinner not this rubbish, I won't be back here in my opinion it's the worst cafe in the county.

Great service, had a small fry and a tea, fantastic price and got a space over lunch time. You could tell they were extremely busy yet they still had attention to detail. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

I tried this place a couple of times, because everyone has a bad day, but the food is just not good, what you order Vs what you get is disappointing, its usually over done, hard, rubbery, or chewy, a lot of the food is like reheated left overs, just not enjoyable, the owner also can't take criticism when you complain

As a Canadian with Northern Irish roots I love this place! Fantastic from when you walk through the door. Servers, food, atmosphere simply perfect. Was there 4 times last week. Can't wait to return.

Food tastes good but portion sizes certainly felt measured to match 'Eat Out to Help Out'. Steak baguette in peppered sauce - tasty but 5/6 Nips of meat Chicken fillet - (tasty but post-it sized) Kids meals - much better value (burger was lovely, good chips) Similar order/prices in any Cookstown Cafe would be much better value. I would find it difficult to return for same servings for Thurs, Fri prices.

We come here most Saturday afternoons for a late breakfast or early lunch, depending on what time we can be bothered getting ready for. The all day fry-ups never disappoint whichever mood we are in. On Saturday my wife had the chilli chicken baguette with chips which she loved, and I had the southern fried chicken fillet burger with chips. Our daughter had a fry (beans, scrambled eggs, 2x sausage and a pancake) and would like the plate clean if she was let! My burger was enormous and beautifully cooked. Very reasonably priced and great service as always. Look forward to our next breakfast or lunch!

Very nice food and friendly staff

I stopped here for a fry recently and I must say it wasn't nice. The pancake was fully burnt black, the potato bread tasted toasted instead of fried and the sausages were tough to eat. Other items in the fry were also burnt. Toilets in this place is absolutely disgraceful. Wouldn't be back again.

Great tasty food for a wee cafe. Always love to go there for lunch to get a fry or their delicious spaghetti Bolognese. However, when I got their chicken curry and chips once, the chips were burnt and I have never had that dish again. Aside from that I generally find their food to be quite tasty, especially the chocolate fudge cake with ice-cream.

Good food and service at a reasonable price. Pleased to be served "real" freshly made chips as opposed to the nasty frozen ones usually served in cafés. Would definitely return.

We stopped in to Diesel to pass the time while waiting to go bowling. All we ordered was coffee, but it was delicious! We also played a few games of pool which was conveniently located further back into the building away from the crowd at the front. We noticed that the building is laid out in a way that allows louder groups to congregate near the front and studying and work groups to be in the far back (it is a long narrow shape). Looked like it would be a great place to get some work done!

Cheap and quick! Staff were lovely and portions were huge for such a bargain. Would visit again.

It is warm and friendly, waiting time is never long and every time I am in Magherafelt it is here I will go for breakfast or lunch (both of which can be served at any time). It is a high quality cafe and does not try to be anything different with always a clean floor and never a sticky table. You will not leave hungry or without a goodbye and see you again from the staff.

Conveniently located on Rainey St.near the city center. Everything is within walking distance of the Lauren Villa.

Good food, quickly cooked and well presented. Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. Tables are cleared and cleaned very quickly.

Food is always lovely. Excellent value. I'd definitely recommend a fry or the BBQ chicken flatbread. Sometimes theres not quite enough staff when they're extremely busy although to be fair its usually fine. New milkshakes are hit and miss. First one was lovely but the next time it was very weak, could only taste the milk.

It's one of the best places to eat in Magherafelt. The staff are always very welcoming. It's always clean. It has good specials. The Peppered Burger is amazing but the breakfast burger is on another level, you'll be doing well to finish it. It's always a treat eating in Nosh.

Fastest place for breakfast, lunch is fab but you get your meal when it's ready, even if the other meals for your table aren't. My son had finished his lunch by the time I received mine.

This is one of our regular places to get a quick bite to eat. No matter if it is breakfast or lunch their food is always good. There is plenty of tables so never a problem in getting a seat. The staff are very friendly, very much recommended.

I'd been here in the past and wasn't impressed but visited recently and food was lovely. They also had a good menu with plenty of choice to suit everyone. It was spotlessly clean, nice and spacious and staff were very pleasant and helpful.

A delightful wee cafe with good food and great service. We had an all day breakfast and were very pleased with what we had ordered. A busy wee cafe but well looked after. We left satisfied.

Visited quite recently and found restaurant décor and food to be a huge improvement. Food was good and average prices.

Went here for our lunch order our food and when we got it the chicken burger was burnt the grease was lying on it chicken tasted off! Beans were decent cheese was raw and lumpy! Dip portion wouldn't fill a hole in your tooth! The worst thing is DONT USE THE VINEGAR! it has floaters and long things lying through it! Wouldnt be worth the pay or the travel!! Stay away

This is good wholesome cafe food, fast and friendly service and with the recent extension of next door has plenty of tables that are normally well filled. There are student specials and a list of new special dishes in addition to a good normal menu that includes three great frys, the smallest a slightly more healthy option. Beans and mushrooms are a nice addition to the frys. Eating here regularly I have asked for some 'less fat foods' and the new spicy gojons (breadcrumbs, not batter and better for that) with half salad half chips. During the cold weather not only the food but the heat has brought me here and it is a great favourite with the business owners and those that visit the town regularly. It is busy at lunchtime so go off-peak if you want a quiet coffee (I find it as good as coffee chains and cheaper). Not really for special occasions or three course business lunches but would be great for a children's birthday party which I was told could be held next door and a chosen special menu could be arranged. It is what it is a good decent cafe and you will go back if you try it!

Great wee cafe. Any time i have been in its quick pleasant service and very good value food.I do breakfast quite often and there is a small medium or large breakfast to suit any appetite.
