Lovely staff, nice food and very reasonably priced. But would love to see some vegan options added to the menu it would bring in a lot of business:)

This is a lovely place to have lunch or a snack from modern and unique menu options. The lounge has really comfortable seating and tables. Coffee is really good and a window seat treats you to lovely views over the monastery grounds. Its a great place for meeting up with friends or family or sitting solo chilling with the paper.

Went for some breakfast with my wife, been here before a few times for lunch, and enjoyed it, wanted to see how good it was for breakfast. 10am, still quite busy. Very prompt ordering and service, food arrived not long after our tea/coffee. The food was superb, could not fault it. I had the eggs Benedict, my wife had the toastie. The only thing disappointing thing was the size of the coffee, 2 sips and it’s gone. My wife had a tea, a small pot, consisting of 2 or more cups of tea. You have the best place in town for breakfast, give us a real mug of coffee not a mouthful.

So the portrush store doesn’t seem to be available on trip adviser having had a great experience in the ballymena store as locals we were delighted to find there is a portrush store unfortunately having visited today as a family of 4 whilst staff were very friendly the bill of £19 was a little extortionate for one mocha frappe one americano two soft drinks and two tray bakes ( one of which was rock hard) would hesitate to visit again ☹️

So excited to finally go here with my daughter but the experience wasn't what I expected. For the prices there is no table service you have to order at the till. I was not advised correctly when asking about the Spanish hot chocolate. It isn't a drink it comes in a bowl for dipping biscuits in. I specifically asked was it like a normal hot chocolate you could drink and was told yes. I ordered coffee and 2 savoury pancakes. Paying by card I was asked to select what tip I wanted to leave. Feeling like I had no option I left one. Then we waited on our food. I had to go and order tea after the "drinks" arrived as the Spanish hot chocolate is not a drink and leave another tip. We waited again and after 35 minutes of waiting I asked for a refund. To be told that the food order hadn't been sent to the kitchen. We didn't have time to wait any longer. When the refund was being done they didn't ask what of your tip you would like refunded. I don't mind paying for service but we didn't get any. Can't review the food as we didn't get any of that. Won't be back. Sometimes best to stick to the places you know.

Disappointed with our first visit to The Lab in Portglenone. The place is very small and not at all family/child/pram friendly. The tables and floors were all dirty. The staff were not friendly at all. Like didn't crack a smile one. The food was okay. Not enough to want to go back.

Booked as part of weekend stay at Galgorm, would not have dined here if the details of its location and venue were clear on the hotel website, very cleverly marketed, and transparency would win them more praise. To start with the restaurant is not at the Galgorm resort, there is bus provided by the hotel to courier you to and from the Galgorm resort to Galgorm Castle, put your seatbelt on for the journey, its a spirited drive. Very underwhelming when you arrive its more of a golf club venue than weekend away celebratory meal out. We arrived and were half hosted by the manager and then another person cut across the arrival to tell the manager to swap roles and deal with something else that had gone wrong, this could have been transitioned far more professionally. But would suggest it reflects the standard of experience to expect. We were barely escorted into the door and put in the corner of the room, right under a cctv camera so they could keep a watchful eye on us... in a room still with many vacant tables and this was the best they could offer? Offered menus, then taken back as they said we are on a dining package, we were not. We ordered a couple of margaritas which were good to be fair, and followed on by ordering dinner, then we ordered wine and yet another different member of the floor staff brought the wrong bottle of wine, right grape but wrong wine, a very poor entry level Malbec which we left most of, as the opportunity did not arise to have this rectified. The starter of goats cheese & fig was good, also the sirloin steak was fair but nothing to write home about, we both had a steak which came to over £100for just steak and 3 sides, which for the venue and low level of consistency in multiple servers service was over priced. I believe it works on a whoever is free or whoever you can catch the eye of reflects, the lack of focused service, rather the service team looking after dedicated tables/section. We didn't stay for dessert and to be honest we just wanted to get back to the resort we had booked. Its ok, very casual, not for an occasion or treat, the prices don't represent value for the meal experience. On a positive not some of the service team were pleasant, but lacked management and organization as F&B goes for what's supposed to be a 5 star resort at this outlet.

This was the first time I was in this little cafe. I was pleasantly impressed by the friendlies and helpful staff, especially the girl with blonde hair tied up. I had a sweet chilli chicken with sweetcorn and mayo toastie with a side salad and a small half shot decaf cappuccino sprinkled with chocolate 😋 I will call in again. If I am in Ballymena 😊
