Caffe Tosca in Ballymena

The bang bang chicken panini was amazing, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Can highly recommend.

We went in today for a coffee and something to eat. Stood at the counter for 15 minutes and the four staff totally ignored us. Left and went to Wildflower Bakery and got served straight away, coffee and food first class. Won't be back in Tosca.

Me and my daughter were in this cafe today I got soup that was very saulty my daughter got a toasted sandwich that was burned will not be back

I have enjoyed many good meals in this cafe. But this morning I found not one but two hairs in my food. I did receive a full refund on request. But this is just not acceptable,wouldn’t be back.

Visited with a few pals for coffee and a catch-up. Difficult to hold a conversation with the loud music in the background and the staff.seemed to be interested in finishing conversations than serving customers! Wouldn’t be rushing back

Really enjoyed the homemade pork sausage roll with coleslaw and salad, only two pound 35, I think. Great value. The vegetable soup looked delicious as it came off the stove. Warm service. Free newspapers to read over your cuppa.

First time visit to Ballymena. Had a lovely lunch here. My BLT was fabulous and I tried a Pineapple delight dessert which I must say was so delicious. Will definitely be back.

The cafe has good food & drinks, friendly staff & good practice for making sure customers know if a table is clean & ready to use. The only downside was it was difficult to see the prices of the food items.

Had a great lunch here, food was amazing, delicious and totally fresh. Loved how you could see your food being made, and they had a fantastic selection of cakes, sandwiches and paninis and fresh soup

I called in for lunch last week as recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I did. The panini and cake were most delicious. And as i'm a real lover of cake I can only say you won't be disappointed.

Lovely café, delicious food but service at the coffee counter was very disappointing. Made to wait while staff member served customers behind me first and was very abrupt/impolite.

Best place i have been in a while the food is good and price is affordable

Nipped in for lunch, not wanting anything too heavy. Was surprised that the cafe was continuing with such an extensive menu (when other places have cut back) Panini and coffee - both very tasty. Not a fan of salads, but side salad and dressing were good. The table waitress suggested alternative fillings - great choice. Thanks. Place was at full capacity which is good in these tough times for small independent businesses. Good to see. Pink decor was a bit different!

My wife and I had a really pleasant lunch in this restaurant Fun and lively place with lots of families enjoying lunch Staff pleasant and helpful willing to explain everything and trying to make sure you enjoyed your visit It was their 5th anniversary so they were giving cake to all visitors, nice touch.

Went to Cafe Tosca recently for lunch before going to watch the local football team in Ballymena and to be honest it was ok but I think improvements could be made to make it a bit better. First off the cafe is uniquely decorated with an interior consisting of white walls and lots of pink chairs, so if you like pink this is the place to go. The Cornation Chicken, Pineapple & Cheese toastie was very nice but I do feel a bit cheated as the side salad is very minimal considering your paying around £5 for only a sandwich and salad. I also think the cafe could look at what other cafes are doing by adding Tortilla Chips or even a big spoonful of Couscous. Overall it is around average for me but with a few more improvements I would consider it much better.

Came into Ballymena looking for a quick sandwich and found this place next to the car park. They have a good selection of sandwiches wraps and bagels to choose from along with fresh soup. Service was friendly and quick would recommend it to anyone looking a nice quick bite to eat in Ballymena!

As always, Caffe Tosca is great. The scones are to die for and the service is first class. The staff are consistently helpful and friendly and I never go anywhere else for tea and scones.

What a great place all round. Bright, colourful, very pleasant staff and the food was great and well priced.

Stopped in here for some lunch as it was new to me I thought I would give it a try. It was so busy there was a queue inside but the tables were being cleared quickly and we found a seat easily after we had ordered. It's a traditional lunch/coffee shop where you queue up with a tray but for hot food they bring it down. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, as was the tea/coffee and dessert selection. The staff were all mostly very friendly and considering how busy it was they were doing a great job. Would definitely stop here again.

This is a great little coffee shop near the shops with a nice, homely atmosphere. We stopped briefly for an apple spiced latte and a muffin each (a lemon and a chocolate). Great little place. Next time I'll try lunch. Staff were pleasant. Clean tables, clean toilet. Muffins and latte were great! Tray bakes and sandwiches looked really good. I noticed they had pumpkin seed ciabatta bread - looked good.

My husband and I visited this cafe for the first time and had coffee. I was delighted to be able to get a Gluten Free caramel square while my husband had a scone. We both enjoyed our choices and will be back. I hope they expand their GF choices as they were a bit limited. They have a vast array of both sweet and savoury items which looked delicious.

We found ourselves in Ballymena this afternoon and not knowing the town we decided to walk around to find a local place for lunch. This was the first one we walked past and it looked really enticing, cosy but not small and enough seats and booths to go round. They do loads of fresh scones, Traybakes and Muffins if that’s what your after but as it was lunch time we both went for a flat bread. It was barbecue chicken and bacon and it was pretty big. Taste wise it was excellent, enough filling with a nice chilli jam and barbecue sauce. The staff were really good, everyone was smiling and happy to answer any questions we had. Price wise it was reasonably expensive, with coffee, a scone and a packet of crisps it was about 8 pound each. Not cheap but I didn’t feel it was too much either. I’d highly recommend this place if you happen to be in Ballymena.

Had lunch here today with my family, plenty room for high chairs, wheelchairs. Staff very accommodating making up bottle for baby. Ordered a BLT and a chilli chicken flatbread both were delicious and cost was fety reasonable. Won't go anywhere else.

I find this cafe very handy to take my mum to, stop outside get in and it's a lovely bright and clean cafe. Staff bring your coffee and food down after ordering and the food it very nice for a little lunch time break.

There are many places to eat in ballymena . . . I know because I have been in most . . but Caffe Tosca tops the list for quality, service and ambiance.. The menu is snack lunch staples, but many with just a little twist, which makes the difference.We had a warm croissant with Ham and Mozzarella and a Chicken and choirzo quiche to die for. Washed down with outstnding lattes this was a meal fit for a king. Add in the outstanding service by the young staff who all had a smile on their face, despite the place being fairly full and a steady stream of takeaway customers. Centrally located to both shopping malls it is the place to go.

Love this cafe go almost everyday!! lovely coffee and food everytime. The staff are great but behind every great cafe is a great manager and he is fab, does a fantastic job!!

I have to say this is one of the nicest cafes on Ballymena town. The sandwiches are delicious, the deserts ate even better! Definitely worth a trip, even just for a coffee and a treat! Staff is pleasant and kind Really reasonably priced swell!

Great selection of sandwiches, cakes, pastries breads, soup etc etc. A loyalty coffee card scheme which gives double stamps on Mondays and Tuesdays, and their coffee is second to none in Ballymena.

Called in for quick family lunch. Ordered two paninis ( one special and one chicken with mozzarella and new sauce) both of which arrived surprisingly quick. Had ordered toasted pancakes for toddler but was informed that they didn't serve pancakes on Sunday's, after they had brought down the paninis. So ordered toast instead.

we have been in the restaurant about 6 times and have found the food very good and the staff friendly. The food is always warm and well presented. A great variety of food to cater for all needs.

Totally disappointed for the second time! Returned giving them the benefit of the doubt but it was even worse. Noone asks you what you want, hello, goodbye, nothing. Plenty of staff about who don't speak. Caramel square was nice but not nice enough to return. Other customers had to ask for assistance. Staff appeared to ignore customers until come to till. Should say girl at till was nice and friendly.

We were in Ballymena for the day and decided to pop into Caffe Tosca for a sandwich and coffee. First impressions is that it is very clean, bright and modern. There was a large selection of sandwich options to choose from and some lovely cakes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Glad there was a gluten free option too, which was fantastic. I will definitely be back when I next visit Ballymena. Would recommend.

Worth a visit when you are in Ballymena. It is right in the centre of town, although it is never too crowded.

Completely disappointed in the service & food. I purchased a panini that was accompanied with a green salad & coleslaw but received the panini with a handful of crisps. When it was brought to the table I asked should it not be served with salad & coleslaw only to be told we've run out. No apology for failing to provide what I had paid for! Will not be back!!!

I have visited this coffee shop on quite a few occasions with my 12 year old daughter who loves the decor and we were impressed the first few times but feel it has gradually gone downhill. First of all the staff are making it a very poor experience a young girl with an extremely long fringe served us and there was no smile no please or thank you no pleasantries at all I do wonder how she got a job at all and its not like she was busy. The other staff weren't much better creating an almost uncomfortable atmosphere. I have worked in a coffee shop myself and would never have treated customers this way. Also my daughter had an éclair and the cream was icy on the middle very poor and we will not be back.

Called here for a coffee stop after shopping with my mum. Very clean and if you can bag a window seat you can sip your coffee and watch the world go by. Even better when we realised my mum had availed of the senior citizen discount. The raspberry and chocolate scone was just lovely and I liked the idea of their kids menu, half portions and crusts off sandwiches. Will definitely come back with my small people.

I visited cafe T with my niece and a friend we only wanted tea and a pastry As I like my tea strong I asked for an extra bag I was charged £1.75 for the extra bag yes £3.50 for a small pot of tea.

Caffe Tosca has a nice selection of freshly made food and a beautiful interior, nice and bright. Another positive to Caffe Tosca which most customers that have been here will agree are the staff, they were very pleasant and welcoming. All in all it was a lovely place, will definitely be back.

Visited around 3pm today, wasn't that busy, likely due to the four seasons in one day! Good value, didn't eat and only a cuppa tea and a mocha. Not as cosy as some places but definitely worth a visit. Great colour of seats, catches your eye. Owned by good guy who's been in the business for years.

Visited Caffe Tosca loads of times, always great food and lovely atmosphere. One of my favourites coffee shops in ballymena. Staff very keen to help and very friendly. My kids love the sausage rolls and hot chocolate. The vol au vents hard to beat !

I was here today at Caffe Tosca and I had one of their pizza fingers which was delicious my only complaint about it would be I found the ends of it a little hard to eat. The service I received was excellent. The cleanliness is good. I was impressed at how the waitress offered to carry the tray of food over. I would most definitely return again.

Would highly recommend Cafe Tosca, particularly the breakfast painini which Big Gearoid loves! The service is first class and there is an excellent range of food on offer. Best Americano in Ballymena!

I'm a regular at Caffe Tosca and on every occasion I've been 100% happy with my experience. I live in Ballymena so I'm no stranger to our coffee shops, Caffe tosca is by far my favourite - food, service and atmosphere are all great. Nothing is ever a trouble for the staff and you are made to feel very welcome.

Visited on a Saturday. Ordered a banana and toffee crepe and was shocked at the checkout that I was charged £3.95. Also £2.45 for a filter coffee. I had a mouthful of coffee grounds at the bottom of the coffee and the crepe took 15 minutes to come to the table and it was cold and rubbery (not made from fresh but heated from frozen I discovered). It had a few slices of banana and a drizzle of bottled toffee sauce on it. Such a pity because it has a lovely interior and the other food looked nice.
