Delicious food, great coffee & lovely, friendly, efficient staff. New menu is amazing. I had the Caesar Salad, which was delicious & such a big serving, that I couldn't finish it. The coffee is the best in town. Visit once a month 4 family brunch & I'm never disappointed with the food. Great selection of gluten free options.

Had to give a star to be able to leave a review. I don't know why Google has asked me to review this place I have never been here!

Brilliant brunch in Ballymena, perfect eggs, great coffee, really fun twist on regular breakfasts. Pork belly eggs benny is a highlight.

Food was really nice but the tea they survived it with brown sugar and every tea drinker no's you don't take brown sugar in tea it is just for coffee I can't take coffee and the brown sugar tastes like coffee so had to do without drinking me tea

So first time here for breakfast and my wife had raved about on as she had been several times. The place has a industrial feel inside with benches and tables but there was plenty of room. Menu is very different which is great to have something other than an Ulster fry( not that there is anything wrong with a fry) . The service was great and our order arrived extremely fast. The Eggs Benny presentation was excellent and the taste amazing. My wife had Turkish Eggs and that looked and tasted fantastic. So for a different type of breakfast, cooked wonderfully, a little bit different and great service look no further than Middletown you will not be disappointed.

Nice place for a brunch between Belfast and the Northern coast. We waiting for approx. 20mins but then everything was pretty quick.

Went for lunch, first time here, lovely surroundings, staff very professional, attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered a toastie, it was lovely, would have given 5 stars if it had had a small garnish on the plate, just looked bare. Would try it again though. Thanks

Mushrooms on toast was very good. The mushrooms where huge - not sure what type as they definitely ween the normal ones. Friend had bacon on waffles which was OK. A bit hard in the middle but baco good. Lovely space.

Went here for lunch and food was delicious, I had the three cheese toastie with bacon and it was yum, very filling. My other half had the sourdough, sausages and poached egg. He said it was lovely. Staff were attentive and friendly. The cafe itself allows for sit-in or takeaway, and the decor is modern with long tables and stools as well as tables and chairs. They sell their own coffee, they had a Christmas blend available when we were there. Price is a bit steep but when the food is so good you are willing to pay that bit extra.

Top drawer coffee shop that yes is a little pricey but that comes hand in hand with fresh creative and quality food. Staff are friendly atmosphere is lush and food is yum... What more can you ask for... RECOMMENDED

Came in for brunch and had the best loaded roast potatoes with pigs in blankets, Brussel sprouts, red cabbage and spring onion. Also got a side of hash browns with coffee ketchup and parmesan, was so tasty!! The mulled tea was awesome and the presentation just lovely. The staff were so friendly even when the place was packed, took the time to explain menu items for you 😊 (P.s. the cream with the mince pie was to die for!)

Some of the best coffee I have tasted. Welcomed when I arrived. Nice atmosphere although a bit cold when I was there (9am so maybe the heating hasn’t been on long). Only criticism would be they only provide one size of coffee and for me it was a bit small.

If you want to drink coffee, run about wearing shorts and have a laptop this is the place for you. If you want a good feed of honest food it’s not the place for you. . We ordered breakfast which was small and overpriced. Very limited menu. Not a scone or croissant in sight. Industrial setting and not overly homely atmosphere. It’s got a certain demograph of people, clearly not me.

Great spot - coffee is excellent and the food is fab. Highly recommend the toastie and French Toast. And try to get a window seat - good location for people watching!

I ordered Turkish eggs which was meant to come with lemon and dill Greek yoghurt. The eggs were cooked quite well with a bit of runny yoke but the flavours were more Indian than than turkish. Curry powder overpowered the whole dish. There shouldn’t even be curry powder in turkish eggs - @Middletown it’s chilli not curry, they’re different. Both me and my husband struggled to taste any dill or lemon in the yoghurt which bizarrely had cucumber. If you want to have Indo-turkish fusion this is the place for you. Chocolate brownie was too salty. Mostly very friendly staff but they seemed to have different rules for friends and other customers when it came to ensuring “all of the party” is there before they can be seated. Didn’t taste but the chips looked like they were swimming in oil.

This was a fantastic find on a visit to NI from Australia. Coffee was excellent and would be right at place in Melbourne. Tried a few items from the brunch menu, all of which were great and also very fairly priced. We took some cabinet bakes home and also enjoyed them, with interesting flavour profiles. Staff were very friendly also. Will be back when visiting NI again, and would be a regular haunt if I lived locally

Food, atmosphere, service all amazing. We had 3 kids with us and the staff were all so friendly. Kids menu is not your typical goujons and chips, and is basically a paired down version of the adults menu, which is a welcome change to the normal.

The girlfriend and I have been 4 times now. I live near Belfast and she in antrim. Definitely worth the trip out. Perfect stop off when heading to the North Coast. Food has been Perfect everytime. This time we had, pork belly beagel, burger with loaded fries and amazing coffee. Brilliant atmosphere and even though it's very busy the waiting times are minimal. Staff are great, very accommodating to people's needs and very friendly. Will most definitely be back many more times.

Really impressed, nice spacious and glassy environment, and the food was fantastic, I had the French toast and it was very creative and tasted beyond expectations. It's somewhere I would trust to try anything as the quality of the food is great, hard to compare as it's a step above most other places for breakfast.

One of the best brunch spots in the country, you need to try the Turkish eggs! The bakes are absolutely amazing too, they use established coffee so you’re guaranteed a good brew too. I just wish I lived closer to visit more often!

Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at Middletown. The staff were super friendly and very attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend the brunch bagel and chicken schnitzel! We will be back soon, thanks guys.

Very over rated over priced cafe . The food looks good but doesn't live up to looks . I had eggs benedict it was tastless and cost 10.50 it was worth about 4 quid . Defo won't be back too many nice places to eat in Ballymena .

Lovely food....a little bit different, but not cheap Service good but please please please....we don't use ma'am in Northern Ireland.. it's v condescending and makes me feel like I'm 90! If I was in America and ma'am was used....fair enough......makes my skin crawl when used over here

Lovely food but shocking attitude. I’ve recently been registered as disabled and therefore use a walking stick. There was a lengthy queue so I asked if I could sit down. I was told ‘no’. Food order must be taken, apparently, before you’re allowed to sit down. I said I was tired, I showed my walking stick, and was told I’d have to wait 20 mins or so in the queue. I asked if this was fair to someone classed as disabled. I was told, ‘that’s just the way it is’ and was advised to go up the street to another cafe. Because I’m disabled?? Just ‘the way it is’?? Not only inconsiderate, but I’d nearly guess this breaks the law……

This establishment had a nice atmosphere for the area and the coffees were well made, tasted great, and priced fairly. Did not try the food but will have to come back one day to try.

Love starting a morning in Middletown.

I had coffee and food here with my partner. Food, staff and atmosphere incredible. Coffee was just ok and it was quite expensive. Overall very good though.

Coffee was lovely Eggs benedict is basically beef brisket with egg on sourdough, gravy on sourdough doesn't work, beef quite tough, disappointed unfortunately

I go there semi-regularly and love it. It's got a great ambience, and the staff are really friendly. I often get whatever soup is going and it's always delicious!

Best place for coffee and lunch in Ballymena

Stopped off en route for ferry. A real find, well worth the short detour into town. Ample car parking in the town. Great coffee and a really interesting choice of dishes for breakfast, with a few spices and a Turkish influence. Recommend the eggs benedict but is not what you could call standard fare. Bacon, poached egg and fresh crab anyone, with a touch of pickled fennel? Good prices for the quality of food and a great Boho atmosphere with friendly team. Service is first class too.

My friend and I were in Middletown on Wednesday 17 August at lunchtime, we both waited in the queue and when my friend was getting served I made way in the queue and went to a table. One of the staff came over and asked me to move as he wanted the table for a family of three. He showed me to a dirty table and then said you were supposed to wait until you placed your order before taking a seat. I mentioned this to my friend when she got to the table and we commented up that this wasn’t particularly friendly. To make matters worse there were other table available and the table was not taken by a family but one adult and one child. I won’t be back as the customer service was awful, the coffee was average and expensive for the size of the cup. There are so many coffee shops in Ballymena I don’t need to return to this establishment. I

Absolutely the best Turkish Eggs I've ever tasted. Unreal atmosphere and super friendly service. My new favourite place!

This was the best cafe, we went in for elevenses and you just have to try the raspberry doughnut and the mint soda. We went back for lunch and although there was a queue it moved quickly. The sweet potato and mango soup was amazing. The staff were brilliant too.

Very good, seasonal food. Variety of hot beverage. And they make their own bread. Highly recommended.

Always good. Never know what the sweet treats are going to be, but you can guarantee they’ll be delicious. Had the chai too a couple of times & it’s one of the best around.

I ordered a flat white with 'less milk' - it was extremely milky and not very hot. The smoked chicken toastie promised much, but delivered a disappointing prospect. It arrived in a bowl (hard to get at it...) and was stacked on top of each...

Called in here for the first time at the weekend, was fairly busy but OMG take my money!!! 10/10 all day long friendly staff seats socially distanced still, food of masterchef quality! Coffees were excellent too! Our new go to coffee shop

Very disappointed to be met with a guy with a beard who instructed myself and friends to stand at the door even though there were clearly tables available. The unprofessional demeanour and aggressive condescending tone displayed outlined a clearly massive training need for this individual...

I met my lovely friend here a couple of weeks ago, the coffee was lovely although very small cups and it was luke warm! I had a cinnamon bun which was delicious but there wasn't enough frosting on it. My friend had the French toast and really enjoyed it but tbh over all for 2 coffees, a cinnamon bun and French toast I thought £17+ was very steep.
