Lovely staff, nice food and very reasonably priced. But would love to see some vegan options added to the menu it would bring in a lot of business:)

This is a lovely place to have lunch or a snack from modern and unique menu options. The lounge has really comfortable seating and tables. Coffee is really good and a window seat treats you to lovely views over the monastery grounds. Its a great place for meeting up with friends or family or sitting solo chilling with the paper.

Food and service were outstanding the only reason I marked 4 for atmosphere was because of the noise. Although it was a Friday evening and the venue was very busy. We had booked a table and were taken to it immediately we arrived. I had the burger which was delicious, my friends had turkey and ham, roast beef and pan fried chicken, they all commented on how good these dishes were and plenty on the plate. Would recommend and definitely visit again.

So the portrush store doesn’t seem to be available on trip adviser having had a great experience in the ballymena store as locals we were delighted to find there is a portrush store unfortunately having visited today as a family of 4 whilst staff were very friendly the bill of £19 was a little extortionate for one mocha frappe one americano two soft drinks and two tray bakes ( one of which was rock hard) would hesitate to visit again ☹️

So excited to finally go here with my daughter but the experience wasn't what I expected. For the prices there is no table service you have to order at the till. I was not advised correctly when asking about the Spanish hot chocolate. It isn't a drink it comes in a bowl for dipping biscuits in. I specifically asked was it like a normal hot chocolate you could drink and was told yes. I ordered coffee and 2 savoury pancakes. Paying by card I was asked to select what tip I wanted to leave. Feeling like I had no option I left one. Then we waited on our food. I had to go and order tea after the "drinks" arrived as the Spanish hot chocolate is not a drink and leave another tip. We waited again and after 35 minutes of waiting I asked for a refund. To be told that the food order hadn't been sent to the kitchen. We didn't have time to wait any longer. When the refund was being done they didn't ask what of your tip you would like refunded. I don't mind paying for service but we didn't get any. Can't review the food as we didn't get any of that. Won't be back. Sometimes best to stick to the places you know.

Disappointed with our first visit to The Lab in Portglenone. The place is very small and not at all family/child/pram friendly. The tables and floors were all dirty. The staff were not friendly at all. Like didn't crack a smile one. The food was okay. Not enough to want to go back.

This was the first time I was in this little cafe. I was pleasantly impressed by the friendlies and helpful staff, especially the girl with blonde hair tied up. I had a sweet chilli chicken with sweetcorn and mayo toastie with a side salad and a small half shot decaf cappuccino sprinkled with chocolate 😋 I will call in again. If I am in Ballymena 😊

I cannot give this venue enough praise and credit following our recent wedding. From the day we booked, right up until the day itself we were so well looked after and made feel so welcome. We knew straight away we had choose the right venue. On the day itself Eileen, Kieran and Shae went above and beyond what we ever expected not only to make our day so special but to look after all our guests. I stayed in the mill lodges the evening before and these are a must visit. I also need to give a special mention to the chef and his staff. Food was fantastic served hot and lots of it. The attention to detail was second to none and I would highly recommend anyone getting married to contact Eileen. She is an absolute gem of a woman and a credit to the hospitality industry. A huge thanks to all the staff at the wild duck and Walsh’s Hotel for the first class service we received. Great leadership makes a great team. James and I can’t wait to visit again soon. Keep doing what you’re doing. James & Leigh x

Normally this place is great but not impressed with our last visit which we just walked out. Went to order a piece of chocolate cake (last slice left on display) nobody else was in the queue in from of us in the 5 mins we waited when we went to order the girls mumbled between them and then turned around and said no it's just sold. Who too is the question. I can only assume one of the girls was wanting to keep it for when they ended their shift but if this was the case take it off the display.
