This is a lovely tea room to visit, it is an old school house which has now been converted into a charming tea room with lots of style. The food is excellent, lots of choice, very friendly staff and very reasonable prices, and the cakes are "made in heaven". A nice stop after an exhausing walk in York Thank you

Low prizes, a tasty and wide variety of chocolate (flavours, drinks, sweets). The staff is very polite and kind. Definitely five stars! 🥰

Fui a ver a mi mamá para tomar un café y el caballero detrás del mostrador habló con nosotros y tener un poco de charla. Tenía un nervio atrapado y me ofreció un paracetamol para ayudar con el dolor y como siempre el café es fantástico. Siempre un gran lugar para visitar.

Visitamos este bar de vinos para tomar una copa antes de la cena. Tiene un interior agradable y personal muy agradable. Pensamos que el vino que elegimos era bastante caro por copa. Nos gustaría visitar de nuevo, pero elegir con más cuidado.

Unfortunately, the cafe was not open on the day we could visit but we picked up a Cat Trail leaflet to follow one evening. It was SO enjoyable and took us all around the city. Thanks.

Truly one of the best spots for any wine, cheese lover or general foodie. I took my wife here on her birthday it was both our first time visiting. Couldn't have gone better. The quality of the ingredients, the kindness of the staff. Everything was just perfect and I can't thank them enough. Anytime we visit York again now this has got to be on the itinerary.

Live Cheese in York is a dream for cheese lovers! We popped in after dinner since we skipped dessert and fancied a cheese board instead. We picked three cheeses and let our server choose the rest every single one was amazing! The quality was top notch, and the whole experience was super relaxed and enjoyable. So glad we stopped by definitely recommend!

Loved this place! Came for breakfast with a friend, got the smashed avocado toast with extra bacon and strawberry iced tea. The service was really quick and the staff were lovely :)

Anna was very attentive our server and went above and beyond to servers… Beautiful place will come again

Food was decent tasting at best to be honest. When your offering a chicken and chorizo panini I'm expecting actual chicken, not a chicken slice from the supermarket. Whats worse is the lack of toppings; smashed avo and salmon.. ONE slice of bread as an open sandwich... and the avocado spread so thinly there couldn't have even been 1/4 of avo used. Owner clearly fed up with the lack of manners from some tourists, can't blame him on that one tbf! Nice, but a few small tweaks could really make it a place a would want to return.

Friendly and welcoming cafe, made us feel very welcome even with our three year old. Delicious drinks and cakes too!

Probably not the most helpful of reviews here for cafe-goers, but I went here to do a woodcarving workshop! It was really fun. I made a wooden spoon and during the whole process I got really helpful advice. Food was served halfway through, and it was gorgeous! I had a delightful ham and cheese sandwich, some delectable brownies and some savoury croissants! All in all, a wonderful place, super friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, really tidy and a very cosy space. I will return here for coffee and cake soon! I should add that the staff were lovely and happy to have a chat!
