Charming little cafe, delicious coffee and food. We were given a warm Yorkshire welcome. Highly recommend a visit.

I always try to call into Rae & Webb when visiting York. The service is always super friendly and the food and coffee is delicious and very reasonably priced. Only 5 minutes from the centre of York. Please avoid the usual chain coffee shops and spend your hard earned dosh at this lovely independent place.

Lovely espresso. Didn't eat but will return as menu looked great but the coffee was excellent and staff nice and friendly. Will return.

This was our first visit it definitely won't be our last, really reasonable prices but no skimping on quantity or quantity. I had a delicious halloumi and salmon salad and my hubby had a avocado, halloumi and harrisa sandwich both were really fresh and tasty. The staff were really lovely too. Thank you.

What a great little find. Out of the hustle and bustle of the centre of York you find this great little coffee shop, which has a great atmosphere and really good coffee. The food looked and smelt good, however I did not eat, just had a really nice V60 drop. Super welcoming staff and a really chilled vibe. I would highly recommend this coffee shop

A great little coffee shop. The best flat white I had in a long time. Their carrot cake is amazing and they have good selection of breakfast/lunch options. Everything is very tasty and served by very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

I had read great reviews for this cafe especially their great coffee. On entering my friend and I were quite dismayed by the level of fat in the air. A little like walking into a transport café complete with steamed up windows. Scrambled egg on toast was lovely but the coffee had a strange taste which was very disappointing after the hype. In fairness they didn't charge me for the coffee and were very nice but they really need to sort out their extraction problem. When my friend went back to her locker at work later that day to collect her coat she was greeted by a strong waft of bacon fat when she opened the door! Very disappointing.

Very kind and friendly service from the barista ladies. Beautiful little spot. Great value for coffee + food. We’ve gone many times and in big groups with our friends. Definitely Recommended

I took two our our kids for breakfast before school as a treat, and we were not disappointed! Firstly, the staff could not do enough for us and we so welcoming and friendly. The coffee was piping hot, and the kids hot chocolates were delicious. We also ordered a bacon and a sausage sandwich which were also fantastic. Top food & great service - we'll definitely be back!

Fantastic little coffee shop a bit away from the bustle of York proper but in easy walking distance of the Minster and the like. Good selection of sandwiches, toasties and porridge and plenty of teas & coffees to wash them down with. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and spot on music choices 😁

We stumbled across this cafe on a mini-break to York, and we're so pleased we did! The scrambled egg on sourdough bread is absolute perfection, and the little coffee mugs are adorable. Customer service was friendly and kind. A lovely last bite to eat before our journey home!

I am so pleased we discovered Rae and Webb! It was clear from the signage in the window that my dietary requirements would be able to be met which was not the case with many of the restaurants we investigated. More than that, though, was the obvious care and passion that Barbara puts into this lovely, informal bistro , the careful sourcing of her ingredients and the importance she places on building rapport with customers. We shall definitely be going back there when next in York!

The customer service is impeccable here. Greeted with a huge smile every time and of course the food and coffee is delicious. I work just up the road and occasionally pop in for lunch and I always leave happy!

Lovely little place, they do gluten free options and I had a ham and cheese toastie with GF bread. As I'm coeliac they even made sure the bread wasn't contaminated when using the toastie! Absolutely lovely staff, will definitely be going again.

We called in for breakfast and we’re warmly greeted by both ladies who were very friendly and chatted happily about our stay in York. Our breakfasts were delicious and freshly cooked. Wish we had found them on our first morning, not our last!

We visited here for breakfast on our stay in York as it was nearby to the apartment we were staying in The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming Small cosy cafe with a nice atmosphere We had a bacon butty each Tasty and cooked freshly and quickly Would recommend a visit here, OH said the coffee was very nice

It just so happens to be that my favourite place in York is the best place in York. Barbara and her team really make this place special. It's like popping home for a brew with family. Even better than that is the menu! Eggs to die for, bacon butties that reign supreme over any other bacon butty you could ever have, and if you haven't worked your way through the slection of home-baked sweet treats yet, you're not doing it right!

I started to come in as a morning routine on route to work after I had come in once with my lad. The owners are brilliant They make everybody who walk through their doors feel welcome. They remember repeat customers and past conversations they've had with the customers. It's a warm and comforting environment to be in and the pick me up isn't from the coffee!

Such friendly staff, lovely space and tasty coffee & treats! I know that whenever I come in here I'll leave with a big smile on my face because of the very kind people who work here and the excellent caffeine boost :)

This cafe is a delight. They serve wholesome sandwiches on excellent bread as well as good coffee. It was evident that they have a strong group of regular customers which is always an excellent sign. We much enjoyed chatting to the host. It is just outside the centre but definitely worth the trip.

Fantastic coffee shop for drinks and cakes located outside the City Walls so less touristy than the coffee shops in the Shambles. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere make this a real treat - a firm favourite.

My friends and I went here for lunch on wednesday 13th, it was clean tidy and the service was great , food was lovely and the price was reasonable I has the cheese and ham toastie with chutney on the side with salad and a coffee it was only £7.?? near on it was really tasty and cheap I thought you need to visit as it was nice I will definitely return
