A great pub, full of characters and the added bonus of being able to see a TV screen showing sport wherever you’re sat in the place. The Thursday night quiz is a staple of local life and the bubbly Georgia serving behind the bar and chatting to regulars and strangers alike gives it extra kudos, she even agrees with me that my feet are the best she’s seen!! 😂

Absolutely brilliant experience! For a place that is not very well sign posted it’s amazing for small children. You can go on trampolines then on the bouncy castles and big inflatable slide in the barn for 3 pounds each and the go carts and mini wheel ride for 2 pound. Plus there’s a lovely little park in the middle of it all. The canteen sells amazing ice creams! The only downside was we couldn’t grab a burger because that wasn’t open. I would recommend this place to anyone. The chap who mans the pay point is amazing at his job.., very friendly very polite and helpful plus the owner is very good at manning the inflatable slide making sure big kids don’t jump on so the little ones get hurt. My friend and her son also enjoyed it. Just sad it won’t be open over winter. Keep up the brilliant work!

Having never tried this cafe, I was intrigued as I had heard some good things so I thought I’d try. As I arrived I was greeted politely and shown to a table I was served relatively quickly and the food I had ordered was lovely as I was getting ready to leave and as I went to i was shown out by the lady who had served me. Overall the breakfast and service were impeccable would recommend.

We had been here once before under a previous management, when we thought the food was A. a bit pricey and B. a bit pretentious. Yesterday's experience was very different. The outside area when we walked up from the car park needed a bit of a clean, especial as the compound for litter is in full view and was full to the top of cartons and other rubbish. It wasn't a good first impression but we forgot all about it when greeted by a lovely member of staff, (Maisie?) who was very welcoming. Our table was in one of the small dining areas off the main bar area. We had a little wander around after we had eaten and the whole downstairs is very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Every member of staff we met was friendly, helpful and able to deal with our requests. We ordered two starters and mentioned that the third member of our party might be allowed to share. As a result, the waitress brought a third plate. The starters - fish cakes and ham terrine - were very nice indeed, although, in retrospect, I should have just had a main course, as the portions were quite generous. All three of us had the Barnsley Chops for a main and they did not disappoint. However, they were served in a shallow bowl and I would have preferred a proper dinner plate. It made cutting the meat from the bone quite difficult. We also had a side order of cauliflower cheese and it was enough for all three of us to share. Everything was very nicely cooked and presented. Dessert was the hazelnut cheesecake, which was pleasant, if a little bland. Very good coffee the end the meal. All in all, a very nice experience and I would recommend 1903 for a special lunch out.

Absolutely disgusting. £13 for a breakfast for it to come out cold. Toast harder than my nannas hard skin. Streaky bacon which it dosent state on the menu. Asked for scrambled eggs and ended up with more membrane. Had to go get a drink from next door due to having nothing other than coffee & smoothies.

Lovely little cafe - been a few times now, for three of us, lunch (Jacket potatoes / quiche etc) and drinks was £20 ish. Jacket Potato (didnt have my choice of topping when I went!) come with salad. Potatoes were lovely! Nicely decorated and airy - The walled gardens outside (dementia friendly) are lovely, some aspects of the gardens are very neglected though and do look scruffy.
