Feast in Doncaster

Really good breakfast from a menu with lots of options, including gluten free. Staff were excellent, very busy for obvious reasons. Well worth a visit.

Have been a regular visitor to feast over the past 5 years - we’ve loved cosy Sunday mornings in there. However, it feels on a downturn over our visits in the past few months. The last visit in particular was disappointing having spent £50+ on brunch. The service was extremely slow which our server justified by saying they were hungover. Cleanliness seems off the ball too - we found an insect in ice our son’s ice and the Menus were filthy. Sadly it’s just not quite the same experience recently and I hope things get back to the high standards that kept us going back.

We were so looking forward to breakfast here having called in a few weeks ago to find it fully booked. We got there at 10 am but there were no tables so we sat outside having a coffee and we also ordered our food at that point and we then waited for the next available table. We were seated at 10:25, which was fine. The food didn't arrive until 10:55... We were told that the food would be about 20 mins from ordering I had the traditional breakfast. I was very underwhelmed. The bacon was very dry and tasteless, the egg was a bit 'snotty' and the mushrooms were very dry and unappetizing. The tomatoes were quite hard too. My husband said his mushrooms and pine nuts on toast were very nice. The staff were very nice. All in all, I wouldn't come back. I'm not being a negative Minnie, I'm just saying it as it was for me.

went for brunch today with friends, the food was absolutely delicious! i had the chorizo hash and it was perfect, would definitely recommend. the service and staff were amazing despite how busy the shop was. a must visit eatery if you’re in bawtry!

My daughter and myself had a lovely breakfast here today !! Great service from a lovely young man. , nothing was too much trouble for him . It was very busy but he handled it all with ease . We will definitely return . Fantastic place .

Came today for a quick bite to eat, tea like dishwater, like a bit of tea with my milk lol ! Couldn’t drink it and I was going to have cake but nothing is homemade. So just opted for a toasted tea cake instead. Burnt and instead of making a new one they just attempted to scape it off instead, not really acceptable and won’t return again. On a positive staff appeared friendly.

Service very slow, had to ask for table to be cleaned, staff stood around talking poor quality breakfast. Definitely would not recommend.

Had the most beautiful afternoon tea with m y sisters been 2 a few afternoon tea but this is the best we have had n will go again x

First visit and what a delight nice atmosphere and lovely staff, we both had a mini breakfast nicely presented and cooked to perfection with a pot of Yorkshire tea.

Travelled down from Durham to visit the beautiful Romanesque church of Saint Helena at Austerfield. Having been turned away from the Mayflower "eatery" for no apparent reason (lot's of empty tables, but none for us 🤔 ) we found Feast a mile down the road. Great food, helpful and friendly staff and a very welcoming and cool atmosphere. I'd heartily recommend supporting small independent venues like Feast over some dated graveyard where they microwave the food.

Was passing through Bawtry for work and needed lunch. Feast was a great choice. As someone who cannot eat/drink gluten I was really impressed by the extensive gluten free menu. It was probably one of the best gluten free menus I have seen. Staff were friendly, the food was tasty and was served in a timely manner.

Always a lovely place to be. Love the staff, atmosphere and there is always a well behaved pooch to admire. Always recommend to those who ask, honestly what is not to like? And you can bring along your best friend too; every dog Ive ever seen in here has been so well behaved. If France can do it so can we, well done Feast 👏👏👏👏

I have always been a fan of Feast but today’s visit was not great. The food lacked taste as presentation. The avo n eggs was a favourite due to the chilli jam in the avocado and you couldn’t taste it anymore. My husbands feast breakfast also lacked taste. The potatoes had little flavour and were not cooked great either.

There were four of us for lunch today and we all ordered a different meal, all the meals came to the table at the same time so no one was sat without their meal. We all had a sweet and coffees plus a drink with the meal. The meal, drinks and service were excellent as well as the price being very reasonable.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. We went for breakfast and the place was really busy. Buy quite happy to wait for the excellent food. Good price and lovely place to eat.

Today my friend & myself decided on an impromptu visit,this is our usual go to place for a catch up as it’s local,we both had the toasties which are absolutely lovely,I had Brie bacon & cranberry which was scrummy,the flat white was great to,staff are always helpful & it’s definitely my favourite place to go in bawtry 😊

went in for first time today and will be back very soon lovely clean place great food and very pleasant staff what more could you ask . unfortunately we went in when they were ready for closing but that didnt stop us being made welcome and getting great service . the menu is varied with plenty of choices . myself , wife grandaughter and grandson all easily found something we fancied and the food was fresh and tasty and nicely presented . we will give ourselves more time on our next visit

Feast is my favourite cafe, especially for their toasties! I love coming there in the mornings before my work to have a quick coffee and toast. Best coffee as well. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend it!

Feast has an excellent menu, with huge variety for a range of tastes, with healthy and indulgent options aplenty. Really excellent provision for vegetarian and vegan guests. Staff make a fuss of my little girl and always accommodate her various whims (toddler!). Food is good...

Tried this cafe for the second time as they messed our order up the first time so thought we would have another go unfortunately we asked for bacon and runny egg sandwich and yet again egg was over cooked .if the cook cannot fry an egg to order maybe needs retraining. Would not recommend this cafe on our experience.

Fabulous evening once again! Live entertainment was amazing. The Yorkshire board was delicious and would definitely recommend. This place is a hidden gem and definitely worth trying.

Butchers sausages and bacon. Fresh sourdough bread. Lush ! Was in the area on business. Wish they had this place where I live. I’d be here every day.

Three of us called in early Saturday evening for drinks & platters. What a lovely experience! We shared a Mediterranean & a Greek platter with lots of delicious crusty bread (and gluten free bread & crackers for me!). Generous & varied platters of good quality food, washed down with a bottle of Prosecco, followed by cocktails & coffee. What more could you ask for?!Well you did get more! Smiley welcoming staff and VERY reasonable prices. The other hospitality venues in Bawtry should take note! If Feast can do it why can’t the rest of you!Will we visit again? Absolutely! Eaten here many times but not recently. Arrived and it was clearly busy, before we had even got in the door we were greeted with "We're full" come back in 10/15 minutes. No smile or apology or attempt to see whether anyone looked like they were finishing up. Lady seemed really stressed. We came back in 10 minutes and there were a few tables vacant by then. Sat down and order was taken. Young girl who took drinks order was very pleasant. Lady then took food order and I clarified the bread for myself and my daughter both brown and one toasted. My daughters arrived not toasted, and mine arrived on white bread! Place almost seemed too busy and has lost its friendly welcoming feel. A real shame.

Went for brunch and a meeting for work.. coffee and food was good, waitress seemed very rushed and service was good just very slow. Small things let this place down when they are just a few marks off being amazing (service not food). Worth the extra long wait

Popped in with a Colleague for a full English, been all over the area, this is the best Breakfast by far, and never-ending tea to go with it....

I absolutely used to love this place for Brunch with friends. We used to meet regularly on Wednesdays with our kids. It was always busy, service was great & food fantastic.Since it’s been taken over by new owners it’s slowly gone downhill. They started making minor cut backs that the regulars notice and miss. ie cheep nasty napkins on table instead of orange good quality ones, ketchup now in a bottle instead of little individual jars ... all nice touches but not the end of the world. Major things that have recently really put me off and left me disappointed, and I’m sure other customers, hence why they don’t seem as busy. They’ve reduced the size of the coffee cups, a small resembles a thimble, a large a small. The Avacado and eggs - my favourite on the menu, is no longer a smashed Avacado, on Wednesday I was served what resembles a thin layer of Gaucamole spread on a very hard either over toasted or just past its best Sourdough, and that was only on the one piece, the other piece none. Then my little boy loves their kids sausage sandwich, it’s altered over that last few months, from 3, down to 2 juicy big sausages -fair enough 3 is a lot for a child, but always 2 slices of bread and always asked white or brown. This Wednesday, he was served 1 slice of white, with 1 skinny sausage cut into 4 anorexic slithers - like I wouldn’t notice the total lack of sausage! 3 yr old had a melt down, I was annoyed, and felt ripped off. Then we had cake .... if you can call it that. The red velvet cake, which was brown not red, was dense and hadn’t risen properly. There used to be a wide selection of freshly baked really good cakes to choose from, disappointed.

Second time here since it was taken over.Decor not really changed...still nice!Friday morning was very busy with not many tables left and we were warned that food may take 15mins which was absolutely fine.Staff very friendly.Excellent menu: lots of really nice breakfast/brunch options...the avocado, eggs and bacon on sourdough bread was really tasty!Decent coffee too (americano).Will try and make this a more regular stop.Excellent value for money

Visited with my husband for lunch, food and service good but completely spoiled by allowing dogs inside. They aren't even restricted to a particular area.There are some outside tables where customers with dogs could be accommodated. Personal choice but I don't think dogs should ever be allowed in eating places.

Met a friend for coffee. Good service, nice and friendly. Shame the place was a tad on the small side but we enjoyed ourselves.

Just noted the Feast cafe/restaurant whilst passing through Bawtry near Doncaster. Du to not eating from a very early breakfast we decided to stop for a light meal. On entering we noted that the cafe was very light and airy, we were approached by one of the staff members and shown to a table. The table was next to the counter. The food was excellent and staff very efficient and friendly. The only downside to our visit was:- due to being sat next to the counter customers were standing at the counter for whatever reason and before and while we were eating we kept having backsides pushed in our faces and I have to say at one point one of the backsides was not very pleasant. Go and enjoy the eatery but keep away from the table next to the counter.

I have to say I had a great lunch and found everything to be fine, loved the premises and the food. Had a really good atmosphere about the place, would recommend.Very filling club sandwich.

Visited yesterday for a gorgeous breakfast. Had 2 poached eggs, cooked just how I like them and granary toast. My partner had a chirizo mash dish, he said it was fab.

I enjoy the food and I have returned a few times now. I really love the fresh vibrant feel to the decor and the atmosphere is lovely. I would like to include some constructive feedback regarding my 3rd and 4th visit, the pancakes which I had both times with bacon and maple syrup were lovely and you get plenty enough of pancakes however, you do not get enough syrup leaving them dry and hard to swallow. Both times I have had to ask for extra syrup because only the top pancake is drizzled with syrup meaning none of the others have any on. My partner who I was with, ordered waffles which were also lovely but again not enough syrup so not just me who thinks this. I then had to go up to the counter because nobody came to do a quality check even though there was only 2 other tables in. I then had to go up to the counter a second time to ask for another drink. A check on the table would have been nice to see if we needed any more drinks and to ask if everything was ok. I think that dishes with syrup should come with a pot on the side as standard. I hope you read this and take on board my comments

Feast is certainly a good name for a restaurant. This relatively new one in Bawtry makes an impact with its bright orange logo and bright orange metal chairs and serviettes that contrast with light and dark grey both inside and outside. It has been opened for less than a year, right on the junction of the road to Austerfield with the road to Doncaster. The owners have chosen to concentrate on breakfast trade from 8 AM in the morning and close their food service for lunches at 2:30 p.m. They only have a dozen small tables and with the weather changing cannot rely on those outside. The establishment is open 7 days a week. Huge orange letters on the wide windows proudly say that everything is made fresh.

Stopped for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Bit of a wait but worth it, a notch up on other places. Quality food and well presented, not just thrown on the plate. The staff are friendly and helpful. Got busy very quickly but people seemed prepared to wait. Had a cake to go, should have bought more as also tasted amazing.

Previously been and had excellent coffee so thought we'd try it out for breakfast. Firstly, the food we ordered was very nice (although a breakfast over £9 only came with one sausage) and my partner enjoyed her sausage sandwich.

Called for lunch with my wife , I had the fish finger sandwich which was just awful, the bread was dry the fish tasted old having that really strong fishy taste that only come from white fish when it’s going off , I also tipped my wedges out onto the plate and the bottom of the bowl was full of water !

Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. As it was half term it was busy with school kids and cyclists so the food took a while to come. It’s a little pricey to say what we ordered. Then when we got our food the order was wrong however the waitress dealt with it well. The food was average

We had a loverly lunch - panini /coffee/cake ect . A little pricey £60 for 4 people but, didn’t mind as it’s a nice place. However once at home I glanced at the receipt only to discover we had been charged for tap water!!!!!?46p a glass. I feel that this is so mean- especially as we had ordered hot drinks & weren’t trying to be cheap skates. Come on tap water should be free !!!

Regular visitor to this great coffee shop in Bawtry. The staff are friendly and helpful. The coffee is the best locally. The cakes and sandwiches are gorgeous. Children are welcome. Definitely a place to visit!

Después de leer los comentarios muy bueno para fiesta de aquí me fui para el almuerzo. Es un lugar peculiar en mal estado, muy chic que hace único un cambio del típico café / tiendas de cadena de sándwiches. Ofrecen una gran variedad de sándwiches y aperitivos. La política de personal es ser tan servicial como sea posible. Es sólo una pequeña tienda tipo sandwich, así que no muchas mesas, pero aparte de eso, el lugar me encantó. Obtiene un 10 de 10.

Es simplemente el mejor tienda de sándwich en Bawtry. Todo está hecha y a las exigencias. El personal de recordar a los clientes y los tratan como viejos amigos. Hemos usado el servicio de catering también fuera y nunca nos ha decepcionado.

I attended a special celebration tea at Feast , and what a treat . The staff waited outside the venue as we arrived en masse in a vintage London double decker bus . We were seated comfortably in this cosy , but eclectically furnished tea room , and thoroughly spoilt with prompt, attentive service and fantastic home made fare . Tasty pastries ( the sausage rolls were to die for ) , light as feather Victoria sponge , a truly wicked chocolate brownie and a lovely selection of freshly made sandwiches . A very fitting location for such a special occasion . Thank you so much ladies for all your hard work .

I called in here for a sandwich a while ago whilst I was looking at venues for an afternoon tea party for my mum and dads diamond anniversary. Having chatted to Jenny the owner I came out having booked the place for the venue for the celebration and afternoon tea. A good decision made that day We have arrived today by vintage bus and greeted by friendly , professional and accomodating staff, great food and a real nice intimate feel for a special celebration. My friends and I meet for breakfast here every week, we're always welcomed with a friendly smile! The staff are truly lovely, the breakfast is delicious and very reasonably priced, not to mention their amazing cakes! The takeout food is fabulous too, I had a roast chicken and bacon sandwich to take away, was delicious and very filling, only just managed to finish it! The coffee is lovely, overall a lovely cosy place to meet up with your friends. I've been going for years now and will continue to do so. Any criticism over the years that I've had, they've took it on the chin and most importantly listened! They really look after their regulars which is why we love Feast so much!

I visit Feast regularly and am always impressed by the friendly welcome everybody who walks in gets, whether you're a familiar face or new customer. Coffee is best for miles around, sandwich of the week and soup of the day is always a treat and their regular line of sandwiches, wraps or toasties are always made from the best ingredients. No matter what day I'm having I always have a smile on my face when I leave!

Grabbed a quick coffee, bacon sandwich which was delivered on the best bread I have ever had from Wellbeck Bakery. Brilliant, Oh and the waitress was a bit of a hotty too!

Love the staff at Feast always cheerful and accommodating - the food is delicious and healthful - portions are generous and service is good even when busy which is most of the time. Interesting range of flavours and combinations - the menu never gets boring like a lot of places. It also is open early and serves a great coffee which you can take out if you haven't time to spare. Overall been a very happy customer for a number of years now - only hope is that they expand to bigger premises !

The food here is consistently good, the brownies are amazing.There is a huge selection, if you don't see exactly what you want they are always happy to 'make it your way' friendly staff. quaint shabby chic surroundings.

Been working in Bawtry for the last couple of wk and decided to try feast for a little sandwich....! What a great decision, the range of choice is brilliant, the quality of the food is brilliant and the service is brilliant. So what I'm trying to say is..... Yeah you guessed it BRILLIANT.!. I now visit regularly and would definitely drive a little further out my way to eat here in the future. I love food, therefore I love feast.

A lovely warm welcome -it was just like walking into someone's front room.A good deal of banter going on with regular customers but this did not affect their ability to serve everyone efficiently.A good selection and variety of very good quality homemade food available at very reasonable prices.We also enjoy a good cup of coffee and this little place came up trumps with that too.Highly recommended and we will return when we are next in the area.Thank you

Feast served the most amazing lunchtime food including speciality salads, sandwiches etc. all meat is roasted by them in house and everything is healthy and fresh.The lemon sponge as a treat is light and melts in the mouth. Staff are very friendly and helpful

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch last week in which we were pleasantly surprised, all of the food was organic and home made and the sandwiches came with a choice of salad which was delicious. The food was very good value for money and the staff were lovely, knowing that we were first time customers and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely come here again.

Found this coffee shop, just off the main street, near the Post office in Bawtry. Called in for a lunch time sandwich and was very impressed by the quality & freshness of the food as well as an excellent cup of coffee.The place only has a few tables, inside and out, but don't be put off, it's very simple but the food is excellent and well worth a visit.An added bonus is that gluten free food is available and again home made, staff very friendly.

We stopped for lunch at Feast while on a long journey up the A1. The menu was huge, with something for all 5 of us to enjoy. All-day breakfast sandwiches, paninis, salads, good coffee, cakes… The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Service was excellent and the price was very reasonable. It was well worth the few miles detour from the A1 and made a happy end to our holiday. Thanks Feast!

It's quite hard to wax lyrical about sandwiches isn't it ?Bread, butter, filling, wrap up and done, right ? Wrong.....Try Feast in Bawtry !!The bread is always fluffy and fresh, the sort that sticks to your teeth it's so soft, the filling (simple ham in my case), is like a gammon steak it's so thick and the salad is full, crunchy and actually tastes of salad. Also, my ham salad on brown was cheaper than the Ginsters offering across the road at the garage. Delicious !!Couple this with the varying home made cakes, fresh coffees and plate salads on offer and you have a cracking place to stop for lunch !!

Sit in or take out never fails, atmosphere & quality top notch! Service always with a smile and great choice of healthy and/or spoil your self home cooking! Only 3 inside tables, but that gives Feast it's character and chairs & table out side ideal for the numerous passing cyclists & any one who wants to soak up this Summers great weather. Feast is very supportive to local events and was a great supporter of 'Le Tour'. It says a lot when you see a post card board full with 'thank yous' for their service & customers cards from all over the world. The meat (beef, chicken or ham) they use in their well packed sandwiches is thick, full of flavour & not tasteless like some pre packed shop varieties. I was spoilt for choice with the numerous salad bowls to choose from to accompany my quiche and the coleslaw is a must!

It is nearly 12 months since I visited and wondered would it be as good as last time, I wasn't disappointed it was as good this time as last. Wonderful food and service. Will definitely keep coming back.

Fantastic food and great service. Always really friendly and was my saviour of a place when my son was a baby!! Very personable service and great with my son who loves the attention! I go there frequently and have also got family and friends hooked too!

Our business uses Feast in Bawtry weekly for business lunches either on route to clients or for meetings as well as a social trip to pick up a coffee. What we love is that they serve healthy food as well as indulgences like homemade cakes to Brie sandwiches. Their ham tastes like ham, not watery thin tasteless meat; all their meat is roasted on site by local sourced suppliers which we find a refreshing. And we absolutely love their green bean, chick pea and feta salad!......And if you need a pick me up try their coffee - definitely hits the spot!The staff and owners are lovely, friendly and extremely attentive to detail, always a smile for their customers even on a rainy day. And another plus point is that they cater for children with high chairs, books and toys to read whilst you wait for your food/refreshments to arrive - what more could a parent want!We wouldn't use any other catering service or cafe!

For such a small venue..Feast is big on service, personality, & fantastic quality food!!We have been hooked for the last two years... Today Belly buster & sandwich of week(Bacon, Brie & coleslaw) never fails to be excellent value, we were sat in today, but also do have take outs on route to Worksop, Retford & Gainsborough as we would sooner take 'quality' eats with us!!Also Cappuccino that's tastes of coffee ( not watered down milk) is excellent.
