Nice friendly pub good food worth a visit

Our first visit for Sunday lunch. Outstanding, welcoming staff, and an utterly tasteful meal, beef, so tender. Highly recommend, and we will be back.

Me and the Family went here for the first time and just Wow the new festive burger was amazing service was fantastic.

First visit here in alot of years we came with the family had food and its so nice to have a fresh cooked meal food was outstanding and the service was great big shout out to craig who made us feel very welcome we will be back

Lovely place for a chat and food with friends

There’s lots of talk these days about portions getting small but my word, not here the value for the portion size is epic, the sausages were wonderful and the creamy mash, garden peas and crunch giant Yorkshire was a real treat, would highly recommended the White Hart at Wadworth. The pie also looked delicious we look forward to trying that next time.

Great Craic on a Saturday afternoon

First visit on a Tuesday evening and won’t be the last, the staff are very friendly, asked if we wanted any extra drinks, sauces etc. I had the wavy burger and my husband had the steak pie which he really enjoyed, it was packed full with meat and he said the gravy was excellent. Couldn’t find any fault and would highly recommend .

Booked a later table, good idea as it had plenty of diners when we arrived. We're seated and drinks ordered. From the menu I was looking forward to the Proper raised steak pie. My wife casually asked if she could have it with mashed potatoes instead of chips. The waitress discussed the plated steak pie option. We both agreed..... OUTSTANDING. Fabulous meal, couldn't eat a dessert. Got to do this again. Essentially Sunday lunch with a fabulous 2" thick wedge of Steak pie. This is a diner's delight.

Fabulous food, great service, will definitely go back, week lunch specials are amazing, the amount of food was huge. Couldn't eat all the mash and peas. Still made room for pudding, the cheesecake was huge, absolutely gorgeous. I had the jam Roly poly, heaps of jam and extra jug of custard. I will do a starter and pudding next time!

Proper homemade food, we love coming here, the staff are always so friendly and helpful and the food is high quality with reasonable prices!

We were looking for somewhere with a delicious Sunday Lunch and I think we’ve found it. What sets it apart is that it’s freshly cooked to order: the vegetables were lovely and the beef was beautiful. Be warned the ‘large’ portion is for big appetites!!

Welcoming afternoon at The White Hart to enjoy drinks in the last of the Summer Sun, lots of outdoor seating in the sunshine. Happy to cater for short notice snacks/meals, the food is delicious! The staff are friendly and happy, whether you’re local or travelling from further afield

Sat in the bar side due to having our dog with us. Very welcoming from the staff and felt very comfortable in the bar side Menu was great, we struggled to make a choice due to being so much to pick from Settled with baguettes due to it being around lunch time I had gammon baguette and my friend had sausage and fried onion, absolutely beautiful We will be returning soon to try the restaurant experience

70th Birthday celebration 22/08/2024 10 of us had a brilliant meal couldn’t fault it , staff very friendly and helpful with definitely be going back. Thank you for making our visit special.

This has always been a lovely located pub. Meals are beautiful and service is very good too. Good atmosphere. You can sit inside or outside to eat. This pub has an accessible entrance.

Creamy mushrooms starter was amazing definitely recommend it Hubby had steak pie it was packed I had steak it was cooked medium 😋 it was spot on definitely recommend it. I had creamy mushrooms starter.this was fantastic the crusty bread fresh definitely recommend it I had sirloin steak medium rare cooked spot on husband had steak pie it was packed definitely recommend you try it we will be going back again

We spent a lovely evening at The White Hart celebrating a special birthday of a family member. The staff were all very friendly and very accommodating of our needs. The service provided was excellent and we all enjoyed fresh home cooked meals. Thank you again for helping make the evening so special 🥰

Nice food and excellent service. Visited as a young family on the way back from a day trip. Called and booked when we were 15 minutes away, when we arrived the high chair was already there and clean and we were welcomed in. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the waitresses were lovely with the kids. We will be back thank you.

I must say a big thank you to The White Hart. We had a reception to celebrate my granddaughters christening. Firstly the staff were very friendly courteous and very efficient. The food was plentiful and delicious and it was a perfectly set out venue for us to celebrate this special day. Just perfect.

Just wanted to compliment the staff and the fantastic food at the White Hart. We had a family celebration there last week and they went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. I visited the white hart today with my family for Easter Sunday lunch. We live local a few miles away and have never visited before. The staff are lovely, there’s plenty of choice on the menu, the food is lovely home cooked food. We had 2 steak pies, ultimate burger and beef Sunday roast. The portion sizes are generous we didn’t have room for pudding. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of food. We will definitely be back more often in the future.

Used to come here regularly until we moved a bit further away, decided to revisit and take the family for Sunday lunch. Still as good as it always was. Everyone loved the food, the pub and the service.

Looks like a nice place unfortunately they employ people that enjoy to make nasty comments towards people not as well off as themselves on social media, with their work place clearly visible, so I will not ever be visiting this establishment. What a great advertisement you have for yourselves...

I had The Wagu Burger and my husband had the ultimate Burger.They were both Great 10/10 Tasty burgers, homemade chips ,onion rings and coleslaw . Efficient, friendly staff . Would highly recommend a visit

We came a year or so ago and had a delicious Sunday Roast. Today, the beef was nice and tender but a little dry and over cooked for my personal taste with not enough gravy. Everything else was spot on though. We didn't get any cheese sauce as advertised but it was too late before we realised so there was no point in asking for it. Overall a lovely family outing though.

Called lunchtime for food. Went in the restaurant side. Good menu large portions cost around £13 LUNCH MENU still generous portions £9.95 Had large Steak Pie Chips Peas & Gravy. Lovely food, but should have had the lunch menu size. Good menu choices. Staff & chef excellent. Will definitely be having regular lunches at The White Hart. Called again last week, had lambs liver & onions with mash, peas & Gravy. One was large portion (£12.95) other was lunchtime menu (£9.95). I know liver is an acquired taste and not everyone's choice but it was superb. I attach photos of both meals showing the difference in portion size. Next visit will be Yorkshire Pudding filled with Sausage & Mash.

Wow what can I say pie 🥧 AMAZING There was that much steak it could of been a filet of steak with pastry and so tender and the staff was so welcoming I want to go back for more .The price won't break the Bank either.Try you won't be disappointed

The steak pie with mash was as always excellent. The smaller lunch time special was more than enough for me It was a very cold day so good to be sat next to a radiator. My only issue was an orange juice and blackcurrent and soda came to £6.. Will have to have a beer next time.

Been coming here for a couple of years and the quality and portions of the food are as great as ever. The steak pie and quiche are particularly noteworthy.

A lovely restaurant, good service and a nice menu, we have been here a few times and never had a bad experience. the Steak pie is beautiful and packed with meat but last night we had the large yorkshire pudding with mash and sausages that was lovely too. highly recommended

Sunday lunch today was perfect....cooked to perfection...the beef we had is so tasty & ample serving too. The mash potato is so creamy & vegetables just right...with the added bonus of cheese sauce....is perfect. Our sons had the steak pie & said its still the best in Doncaster. Always a pleasure...the staff are always very welcoming & nothing is too much trouble....Sundays with the family & a great meal is spot on..Thank-you 😊😊

first time last night i had eaten here the food was really nice and plenty of it. The beef pie was so nice and the Spinach &Ricotta Cannelloni was also nice the atmosphere and the ladies who bought our beer and food to the table were very pleasant and made you feel very welcome i will be returning again very soon thank you for making it a great night with our friends Les and Eileen Maltby

Usually good but had the serloin steak, poor. This time pie dry bits and salty. Give it a rest for a while.

Enjoyed their famous meat pie only issue was the chips could have been warmer, probably due to waiting for the very nice liver and onions to cook. Would recommend this place.

Beautiful little pub serving great meals with a friendly service

We last visited the White Hart a couple o& years ago and it was very average. I am now pleased to say that having visited again it is fat from average………it is very good. On entering it was immediately obvious that there was a whol3 different atmosphere to our last visit, there was a definite buzz in the dining room. There were four of us and we all had a different main course. There were no complaints from any of us. I had the special, which was quiche served with chips and salad. My friend had liver and bacon and he was very happy with both the flavour and how it was cooked and served. The steak pie was also very well received. We will definitely be back.

The staff were lovely and the food was amazing, there were six of us and we all loved everything from the starters through to the deserts

Arrived about early evening, pub was well full, hadn't booked, but they got us in luckily. Fantastic meal, fantastic service, not much more to say. Maybe book in the future ....

Drove past on the way to photograph Wadworth Church (Enby loves taking pics with their dSLR anything from old buildings to stuff growing on a wall) on an unusually warm October day, and decided that since it was nearly lunch time, we'd give the place a try. Warm and helpful welcome from Sue, (two of our group are on crutches, and she made sure we felt comfortable) who gave us menus, explained ordering options and took out drinks orders. We had the shared starter, all of which were delicious, with special mention for the spicy chicken wings. For mains, Our Enby had the Ultimate Burger, they dismantled, then demolished it, my wife had the Pan Fried Liver, and I had the Homemade Steak Pie. We loved everything, I would especially recommend the pie as I think it better than any I have had barring ones made by my Great Aunt, and our Enby. Seriously, it was even better than the Steak Pies that Scott's Butchers of York used to make.

Nice local with quality beer especially if you like a reasonable selection of real ale. Recommend

My partner and i came here for Sunday Lunch yesterday 08.09.23 and both had the Chicken Sunday roast. All the food came piping hot and was very tasty. Table was ready on time and we were served by friendly and efficient staff who were very welcoming . Would highly recommend a visit here as we have been here on a previous occasion and also eaten from the full menu which was also very good. Thanks again to all the girls who served us and a special shout out to the chef.

Just called in to the white Hart at Wadworth both my wife and I had what can only be described as a fantastic seafood platter for lunch very generous portion and very tasty hats off to the chef we will be 100% returning Great staff great food what else is there to say

Better than expected. Still table service more restaurant than pub. We did eat. The menu not too big but enough to please everyone. I had a Wagu burger 🍔 but the wife had a prawn salad. Which was to die for. Highly recommended. Just had liver and mash to die for.

Food is always beautiful, great portions and great flavours.
