Myself and 4 others were looking forward to having a lovely sunday breakfast at cafe Morso though it turned out to be a disappointing visit which ruined our morning. The place was dirty and with cups lying around from the night before. There was only one person working who was serving and preparing the food which is unacceptable for a place like this in the city centre. I’ve never come across just 1 staff member running a big joint like this before. He wasn’t coping either, we waited ages to be served then another hour for our food to be prepped. When it arrived, we were all shocked as it was served on thin white bread. When we questioned the chap he said they had ran out of muffins. The decent thing to do would have been to communicate this with us before wasting our time and wasting that food as none of us ate it and we left the place in disgust. Still in disbelief that the managers have allowed this to happen. We felt sorry for the staff member who was also sorry as he explained that it was not his fault and that this kept happening where he was being left alone to run this place hence why he had handed in his notice and was leaving in a week or so. Whether the managers are cost-cutting and trying to reduce staff or they just don’t care, this should be communicated to potential customers as it is not fair that they are allowing customers into this place to then be disappointed.

I ordered a Gingerbread Latte, a bacon bap and an Oat and Raisin biscuit for delivery. The delivery was on time and delivered with care. No complaints there. When I opened up my order the Oat and Raisin Biscuit wasn't there. Three items in the order and they couldn't get that right. Wow. When I went online to report this, they refunded my money and said it would take 3-10 business days. Are you taking the P. I used to work at Friargate so used to go to Coffee #1 regularly. It's always been a really slow service, and it's over priced. I wont be using them again - ever. They've had so many chances with me and failed miserably on many occasions.

Popped in here while my son attended an appointment locally. Hoping to work a little and grab a coffee. Staff were friendly and service was quick. The menu looks great, good variety and really reasonably priced. I had a large latte and toast for £3.25 bargain. Coffee was lovely too. Free wi fi meant I could work easily. I’ll be back

Came in for the first time was served by Eman I had a salmon bagel and an iced coffee, it was very busy but I got a table instantly and Eman managed to make my order really quickly as well despite the amount of people. Would definitely come again and is my new cafe spot in Coventry town!

Abre temprano un domingo y por un momento tuve el lugar para mí. Personal amable y alegre. El inglés completo era encantador, los linos de chile en los tomates fue un buen cambio. La desventaja de ser el primero en la puerta era la mesa necesitaba una limpieza y cubiertos tomó un par de intentos para encontrar limpios. Supongo que normalmente es tranquilo, por lo que se habría ordenado rápidamente por lo general. Pocas migas no me desanimaron y un buen comienzo tranquilo de un domingo valió la pena.

Friendly and helpful staff and plant-based milk options available

I didn't expect much from the restaurant and went more out of convenience as a guest in the hotel. I initially went to the bar and was invited through to the restaurant by the barman. The restaurant had a nice ambience with chatty large tables on one side and solo diners on the other. I ordered the fish and chips and was pleased with my meal. The fish, once I'd let it cool, was outstanding. Crunchy salty batter, moist chunky fish, and it was huge! The chips were so so, as was the mushy peas. The tartare sauce had a nice zing to it that complimented the fish wonderfully. Pints of Neck Oil were very welcome, and the service was superb. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and would definitely come again. Try the fish.

Girls catch up. Booked table for food. Service was quick. I had the fish finger sandwich which although lovely, lacked alot of flavour. Was abit bland. Stayed for a few more cocktails, would be rude to not have the 2 for 1.
