Popped in here while my son attended an appointment locally. Hoping to work a little and grab a coffee. Staff were friendly and service was quick. The menu looks great, good variety and really reasonably priced. I had a large latte and toast for £3.25 bargain. Coffee was lovely too. Free wi fi meant I could work easily. I’ll be back

We booked a table for 3 on a Saturday evening for a meal before the theatre. The booking system was all online and very easy with text confirmation. When we arrived 2/3 of the pub was set aside for a private function which left us a table in a very small area with 3 or 4 other tables a large screen TV with football on an a lot of people crammed into a very small area. The food was excellent, but be warned the starters are big. 3 starters for £16.00 we had an olives/humus with flat bread and 2 types of wings and 3 pizzas, ranging from £11 to £15 each. However, the pizzas came before the starters, the starters followed shortly and we had all our food in one go on a very small table, when I questioned this with our server he simply shrugged and said the chef cooked it all at the same time. Not an ideal situation at all, but the food was excellent, though 3 pizzas and 3 starters is too much for 3 people.

Came here today with my son, daughter and her boyfriend. Upon entering a girl shouted some other girl to serve we asked for the menus to have a look. We went outside and had a look at what was on offer, the menus were really sticky and dirty so were the tables. The young girl came to take our order only for them to say they didn’t do that menu anymore. I was a little confused to why we were given it. They only serve the breakfast menu until 2pm. Ordered breakfast it was quite greasy and the mushrooms tasted like a burnt pan. Sausages were nice. Coffee very poor and watered down coke.

The Penny Farthing is every thing a good local pub should be. Friendly, welcoming and good value. Their pizzas are tasty and the perfect accompaniment to one of their good choice of beers. The place feels homely and they run fun events like the quiz on a Wednesday. It is a proper local.

very nice and good amount .very tasty and love the new flavours especially the watermelon. However this time they got my order wrong by adding tapioca pearls instead of blueberry popping ball.I was very upset since they usually get it right. They need to be careful woth how they prepare..you can see this in the pic. EDITED:Mooboo have earned themselves a 5 star. They were very nice and gave me another drink.Thank you mooboo!! Definitely the best place for bubble tea in Coventry!

I didn't expect much from the restaurant and went more out of convenience as a guest in the hotel. I initially went to the bar and was invited through to the restaurant by the barman. The restaurant had a nice ambience with chatty large tables on one side and solo diners on the other. I ordered the fish and chips and was pleased with my meal. The fish, once I'd let it cool, was outstanding. Crunchy salty batter, moist chunky fish, and it was huge! The chips were so so, as was the mushy peas. The tartare sauce had a nice zing to it that complimented the fish wonderfully. Pints of Neck Oil were very welcome, and the service was superb. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and would definitely come again. Try the fish.

This was the second visit to this place, once, when we were on a walk, we only went in for one beer, thinking that we would come back here someday. Recently, when guests from Spain came to us, we came here for a typical English Sunday dinner. And it was a good idea because the food was really very good. If you are nearby, I recommend visiting it.
