Mocha Lounge in Coventry

Absolutely awful service . My daughter and dad visited today after being in numerous times. The owner and ladies are normally lovely but one woman was so rude none of our family will ever go back. After ordering a jacket potato that arrived after some time and luke warm, my daughter politely asked for it to be heated up for a few minutes . The response was ‘ well it’s been in for long enough’ . When asked why she was being rude and all she wanted was a warm jacket potato, the woman was even ruder. Such a shame , but it’s not the first time I’ve heard this about the same woman and her awful attitude.

ordered same drinks everyone was charged different, told the lady and was screamed at, told to get off my high horse. went and sat down 2/3 drinks arrived, when asked told that we weren’t getting the 3rd drink and no refund. rude, don’t spend money here, workers think they can treat customers like dirt.

Mum had a blood test in Coventry and as we don’t know the area very well we just googled cafes near me and luckily found this gem. Fabulous food, including gluten free and vegan, with a real buzz about the place and very busy. Plus, the owner came to chat to us which was a lovely touch. Try it out if you can!

Went there for a coffee and lunch. My friend ordered whilst I sat down. The drinks were delivered and one was wrong being an iced latte and not the required large latte. The waitress returned a while later with the correct drink and proceeded to lecture my friend saying that the other waitress at the till had also heard him say he wanted an iced latte. This is extremely rude attitude from the waitresses and made us both feel extremely uncomfortable for the rest of the visit.

We love the Mocha Lounge. The coffee, cakes and food are the best! I'm leaving this review because although we didn't eat there this time we ordered a vegan chocolate birthday cake for my dad's 80th and it went down a treat!

Had a lovely experience. The front door has a child gate on, that comes off so if you have a wheelchair or pushchair you can get in. The coffee house has a baby change toilet which is also a disabled toilet and they have a resident jack Russell: Tilly who is very sweet and will most likely come say hello to you in exchange for fuss. We ordered a tea and latte, both were great, and we also had a custard pastry which was homemade and delish. All the cakes, loaves of bread are home baked and they have a spectacular coffee and syrup display. Wi-Fi is also available and a comfy sofa area, so if you need to work this would be a great place to come. We went with our large pram l, there was enough space, plus outdoor seating! Will be coming back with my mum friends.

Lovely food staff are really nice but my fravortie is the tiny dog that is so welcoming makes it feel relaxed lovey place

Visited today with a friend. Had a latte and Crunchie cake. The latte is lovely, had it before when visiting and it’s hot, creamy and really good. The cake was nice, very soft, the icing had the Crunchie bits in and gave it flavour. It was enjoyable. The cafe is nice, love the little dog that wanders round, super cute but then I love dogs!!!!

Met up with some friends for a drink and a snack. We all ordered at the same time but after food was delivered one item was missing. After 15 mins of waiting, I asked, who appeared to be the owner, how long the missing item would be. She snapped "I don't know, I'm just serving the drinks..its to do with the food section" Obviously, she saw my disappointment in her answer and sighed...." I'll find out" We waited another 5 mins and the item finally appeared. Won't be returning...rude owner and the cakes we did have were dry and tasteless!!

I visited here recently with friends, I had my two young babies with me and have found the staff to be quite rude, an older lady working there in particular. I wasn’t greeted with a smile or made to feel welcome, the lady serving me was quite abrupt, my baby was teething on this occasion and noticed I was being glared at and made to feel like my baby was making a scene. When asked if we could use two of the high chairs, the member of staff snapped that we couldn’t block the area we were sitting at I was made to feel like an inconvenience as I had my pram also with me. The drinks were slapped down and were also cold. In other cafe shops I have been to, staff have bent over backwards to help and have been very friendly and understanding towards new mothers as a new mother with her hands full I was left to feel very anxious and embarrassed and that my custom wasn’t valued. It’s not my first visit or the first time I have noticed the staff to be rude but was prepared to give it the benefit of doubt. My mother in law had since mentioned that she found staff to be rude when she visited some time ago. Unfortunately I won’t be visiting again

Great cakes and superb tea. Samosas and salads are good too! This is such a nice place to go but visits have been slightly spoiled by the older lady working there who has been a bit rude to us on a couple of occasions.

Today was my first visit to this lovely coffee shop. It's a shame it was spoilt by a particular member of staff. On ordering my coffee , which was a flat white with one shot of coffee as I don't like it strong, I was told it can't be done with one shot only two. I was offered a cappuccino which was not what I asked for. The lady was very confrontational and argumentative as to a flat white only has two shots of coffee. Why did I have to justify what I wanted !! Surely it's not difficult. Eventually I gave in and went with two shots. The lady then proceded to thow up her arms, shake her head and moan about me to her colleague behind. l regularly have a one shot flat white from many coffee shops including the main chain shops, I've never ever been questioned, I certainly will not be returning, I will take my money somewhere else with better customer respect

This place does not get the recognition it deserves as there cakes are fantastic!! Best cake i have ever tasted. Would definitely come back when i'm next nearby.

BEST CAKES IN COVENTRY… and coffee! I pop in for coffee and cake when i’m in Coventry, the staff are so lovely and its a really cosy atmosphere. My Mums favourite is the Lemon & Blueberry cake but all of the cakes are sooo good. I contacted them at the very last minute to see if they could make my Mum a lemon & blueberry birthday cake and even though they were really busy they fitted it in and it made my Mums day. 🤗 Thank you so much Lyn and Mocha lounge, we will be back soon 🙏🏻

Was here today. Cakes are delicious (had biscotti cake which is lovely but didn’t really taste of biscotti). Sat upstairs which was quiet until a group of 8 came in to celebrate a 70th bday with afternoon tea, they were really noisy. I get they were celebrating but at times they were so loud I couldn’t hear my friend speaking across the table!! Latte was lovely.

Visited today to celebrate a friends special birthday we had pre-ordered the afternoon tea. What a surprise we chose the prawn sandwiches from the selection on offer and it was so tasty and full of prawns very unlike in other places where it was all sauce and no prawns and the bread was very fresh with a choice of brown or white. The scone was huge and so light and tasty with proper cream instead of that horrid squirty stuff and jam. The other cakes were delicious and so light the flavour was outstanding. We had three teapots of tea and actually unable to eat all the cake so was given them to bring home in a storage box which my husband was very happy about. Service was excellent the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return it was a lovely experience

This cafe is very popular. Most customers seemed to be locals meeting up with friends. Cakes on offer looked lovely. The serving of tea was very generous. The cafe is quite small and was busy but there is a small amount of outdoor seating and there is more upstairs Service was speedy and effective and friendly-enough

Excellent choice and quality of food and drinks. The cakes are amazing here and it's great that there is always smaller cakes/biscuits if you don't want a big slice. All reassuringly covid safe, a lot of thought has clearly gone into making it safe for staff and customers. Fantastic to be able to walk in somewhere and just order dairy/gluten free stuff.

Went today, found the staff rude. Not helpful. Drinks were slammed on the table. No atmosphere, not sure I will waste my money in going again! Made us feel like we should not visit a coffee shop and spend our money in there!

This was the worst afternoon tea experience I have ever had! The sandwich was not afternoon tea style it was a cheese sandwich which tasted like cardboard. There was no variety of sandwiches i.e. cucumber, salmon etc and they were not finger sandwiches with the crusts off how afternoon tea sandwiches are supposed to be like. The woman was very rude when I complained about the sandwiches and told me to leave. Very bad customer service skills. The overall experience and customer service ruined my sisters birthday as we felt uncomfortable. It is also situated in a rough area which I did not realise until I arrived. A very working class afternoon tea experience, don't waste your time or money!

They were very helpful and accommodating to mine and my Husbands needs. Being pregnant i'm limited to what I can and can't have right now. Even though they are closed on a Sunday still did a delivery for me and my husband. We had afternoon tea which was amazing! 2 scones, 2 mince pies, chicken sandwiches for me. 2 cakes,1 mince pie, 1 scone,chicken sandwiches for my husband.It was Beautifully presented and on arrival they were very friendly and helpful. Mocha Lounge has lots of cakes, many vegan, and provides excellent service. The panini came with coleslaw and salad and the tea was Birchall. Prices are very reasonable.

Good selection of drinks, cakes, pastries, toasties, paninis etc. It can be difficult to find a seat at busy times when it fills with young mums with toddlers and babies and the upstairs seating area is being used by local amenity groups. All food nicely presented except the bacon roll. Microwaved bacon turns to leather!

Visited 2 times with family and friends Wonderful vegan soup and Gf cake 🍰 generous portions Efficiently served. Wide range of Pannini including vegan option Definitely will return

Today i went in to the Mocha Lounge and felt very welcomed , the staff were very friendly. I had the orange cake and it was very delicious. Will definitely recommend and return

Some of the best coffee in Coventry. Popped in there for lunch had bacon avocado & vine tomatoes on granary toast it was delicious

After seeing really good reviews of Mocha Lounge wanted to try it for myself. Visited with my Mum and sister, when we first arrived it was very busy and there was nowhere for us to sit that had more than two chairs so we popped out and came back about 15 minutes later after looking around the shops up the road. There was a free table just for us so we quickly grabbed it while we could. Me and my mum went and ordered our drinks and a bit of lunch. I had a Soya Latte and my Mum just had a Normal Latte, while my sister had a Hot Chocolate. For food I had the Brie & Cranberry Panini (£3.70), my Mum decided to go for a BBQ Chicken Sandwich (£3.50) and my sister just had a slice of Chocolate Cake. The Panini was presented great and I really liked the touch of the Olive, however I did not realize that you got coleslaw and a bit of salad with the Panini as it does not state this anywhere on the menu, so I think it would be a good idea to perhaps add this to the menu because my mum probably would have gone for a Panini if she knew they came with coleslaw as she loves it. Although I don’t see why coleslaw could have not come with the Sandwich aswell. Anyway the Panini was delicious and my mum did enjoy her Sandwich which was very fresh. They are both great value and hopefully they stay this way. My sister also enjoyed her Chocolate Cake. Customer service was very good. I will defiantly be visiting again as I would like to try there Afternoon Tea and one of there Cakes which look very good.

The Mocha lounge is a lovely little place. Very welcoming with lots of homemade treats to choose from! My children love the milkshakes. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon celebrating Mum’s special birthday. Lynn went to a lot of trouble to ensure the Birthday tea was perfect. Delicious food (served on beautiful cake stands) was enjoyed by all the family especially the 9 great grandchildren! We would thoroughly recommend this great little coffee shop.

We had heard good things about this place, so popped in one Friday in January, for lunch. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and tasty coffee and sandwiches. It's great to have a little independent on our doorstep.

We went just for a cuppa one cold wet afternoon. The welcome was warm enough and the tea good. (Bit pricey by local levels though.) A cosy place for some respite. The only comment is that it is impossible to see in, since the windows were so steamed-up which is not very welcoming. Indeed it was only the signage which indicated that they were open.

A delight to be served such good quality decaf coffee - often cafes only offer instant coffee but Mocha Lounge has proper decaff espresso. Very tempting selection of cakes, biscuits, tiered afternoon teas too. Will definitely be returning, thank you. Very child friendly.

I live local to this coffee shop and it's a great addition to Allesley. It is so lovely to have great coffee and food within walking distance. The staff are always friendly and cannot do enough to help you. The children's afternoon tea is a lovely thought and great price considering that you get a range of delicious foods for them to enjoy. This is a lovely place to catch up with friends. On occasion, they do offer children's activities like for Halloween so check their facebook page if you are interested.

This is a really nice cafe with home baked cakes. It is good value for money and there service is friendly. If I lived nearer I would come again. Very nice.

Came for lunch with my mum yesterday and we both throughly enjoyed it!! The brie and cranberry panini was especially delicious! It was great to see them so busy too! I’ve been a couple of times over the last 2 weeks. The variety of cakes are brilliant and they cater for various diets including gluten free and vegan. There was also some different types of fudge too which was delicious!! We will absolutely be back again!!!

What a pleasant surprise it was to visit the Mocha Lounge recently. The recently opened café is very well appointed with an excellent menu. The Lounge prides itself on its homemade products - both savoury and sweet. The staff are very smart, pleasant and efficient. The Lounge also has Wi-Fi connections.

This is a lovely little coffee shop, it sells homemade cakes, quiches, Sandwiches and other yummy things! Been here a few times now and it's always busy, mostly families with little ones enjoying children's afternoon tea! Would recommend to everyone!

Went for the first time on Saturday, it was recommended by a friend. We enjoyed a lovely slice of vegan lemon cake and wonderful coffee (almond and soya milk). The staff were all warm , welcoming and very friendly. Would definitely recommend!!

Fantastic place, child friendly, gorgeous little afternoon tea for a treat with the little ones!! Very tasty tuna salad!! Really nice staff and was very impressed when asked for 2 spoons for the white chic cheesecake and they bought us 2 small slices instead!! Reasonably priced menu.. have told my friends about it and will definitely be back soon!!

I have always enjoyed the coffee here but after not feeling great lately I decided to take a walk here today with my partner. I told him how nice the coffee is so both looked forward to it. Only to arrive to find it closed. I did check online before and it was advertised 10-3. This was very disappointing and really is not good for business.

The best cafe to hit this side of the city, selection of cakes, salads and light meals fantastic. Bowls of fresh fruit maybe for small customers instead of cake, friendly smiles and chat from the owners, sunshine seating.

The mocha lounge has reopened.its a great little cafe with a good range of hot drinks. They even do chai lattes too. The cafe offers much more than before. They have free wifi . The cakes are amazing and there are always a range of quiches and small meals. The staff are always helpful. The cafe is popular with families and young children. There are high chairs and changing facilities . They also do milkshakes and mini afternoon tea for the kids . It's a great place and it's a must for local people.

Having been here a few times now, all I can really say is that a fantastic cafe that does lovely drinks and savoury food is let down by its home made cakes. The ones I have tried (brownies, scones and carrot cake) were all lacking. The brownies weren't very chocolatey. The scones tasted a bit old. The carrot cake didn't have much flavour (although the topping was superb). This is such a shame as they make so many different things and the drinks are truly fantastic. The display looks great.

This is a fantastic cafe. Have been numerous times, the drinks are great, the food is tasty. The best bit is the ice cream!

The Mocha Lounge is now under new management. The coffee is fantastic and there is a terrific selection of scones, cakes and quiches, most of which are homemade. A great place to meet friends for lunch. We will definitely visit there again.

I meet up with old school friends regularly and we really enjoy coming here for the specialty teas and lovely coffee.

Having encountered a few teething problems when they first opened I revisited to meet a friend last week and I was very impressed. The cafe was bust. The staff pleasant, friendly and on top of things and the coffee was lovely. I will be revising very soon

Very enjoyable, lovely fresh food, relaxing background music, very attentive staff, I wish there were more places like this is Coventry.

Meeting friends from the area, I visited the Mocha Lounge for lunch and what a find! A stylish, modern, relaxing cafe with outside seating. The staff were friendly and polite and the food food was delicious. Served infusion tea instead of tea bags...always a winner in my view! For warmer weather, the outside seating is a great idea as many cafes do not have this option. Will definitely be back on my next trip to Coventry.

Visited here with my friend and son. It was very busy when we arrived but we're able to find a seat. The staff were very helpful and explained how everything worked. We were given a number to take to our table and they then served us with our drinks and food. The place has a lovely atmosphere and is what was really needed in the area. Also everything is reasonably priced We Will be visiting again in the future.
