The worst breakfast I’ve ever had, unfortunate as the chap who served us was nice and helpful. Toast was cold which I accepted but everything was overcooked by at least 10 minutes, was hanging. Attached are 2 photos, one breakfast which I had yesterday which was £2 more and you can guess which is which. Manger looked over when I was speaking to the chap and didn’t bother coming over just stared me down looking angry.

The service in the pub couldn't of been better Tammy went above and beyond for me my auntie and uncle Nothing was to much trouble for her considering it was quite busy She served our food promptly and was so polite about everything will definitely be returning

5/5 great food worth the visit fab staff very welcoming and dog friendly which is a bonus as we have a dog. Colouring for the kids too

Went for breakfast at 10 am as advertised as being open to be told we don't open Till 11am so went somewhere else

Great selection whit drinks chose and coctail range -very cheap prices and great service. They have DJ on is well -great atmosphere and great night.

Came in here for a meal and I have to say this is the worst meal I have had in my life! Not been in this pub for a few years and thought I would try and see what it’s like.The steak and sausage was black,the chips were hard,no mushrooms what was advertised.Really being honest here,not done a review before,but my family were visiting me and thought I would take them to the Wallace.The worst mistake in my life!! Don’t come to this pub,wouldn’t give my dog the steak here! Didn’t refund all bad meals

Amazing food, very good value for money. Carla and Kath gave outstanding customer service and made us very welcome. It’s so lovely to receive such excellent customer service and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

Called in on a lovely sunny Friday evening. Caught Carla for a catch up before her shift finished and was then served by the lovely Damion, Tammy and Reece. As always these lovely people took the time to chat while serving and sorted the football for us. It was a very busy shift for them but they never stopped their banter - a credit to the pub x

Great food and great service by Damien just wish I cud be part of u team again if I cud food was bang on Damien made sure my blue steak was on a plate where most places put it on skillet where it cooks it more both you and chef deserved a five pound tip each thank you Damien and the young female chef in kitchen thank you alot sorry don't know her name never worked with her

The only positive when we had lunch here yesterday was the staff. Both the bar staff and waiting staff were very polite. Ordered at 1pm, food arrived at 1.50, pub was not busy at all. I ordered tandoori skillet. I was asked if I had any allergies. As I had read the menu I didn't feel I needed to state aubergine as it was not on any of the food I ordered. I also ordered with rice not fries. My food came, eventually, with aubergine not broccoli as stated. Fries not rice. I was so fed up but starving so I tried to eat it. The chicken was horrendous in parts. So tough. No check back and when the waitress came to take our plates away. You could see mine had hardly been touched but I wasn't even asked why. This on top of refusing my student discount because I didn't mention it when I ordered led to a really unpleasant lunch.

Reece was welcoming and made it an amazing experience, would recommend anytime

I would like to give Kath a massive high five on customer service went way and beyond me and mother bear haven't been in the Wallace for years had a lovely experience my mother is limited getting around wheelchair bound we sat in bar area with lower tables Kath was serving me at the bar and suggested/mentioned there had a restaurant area with higher tables if we would like to move to area after having a wee look we moved into restaurant area which Kath helped us with our drinks Honestly Kath is a credit colleague to your company also we throughly enjoyed our food we will be definitely be back

Booked for Bingo this afternoon and appeared to be some confusion with our booking. Carla and Elena sorted us a table from the bar to compensate. Carla continued to check on us for the rest of the afternoon. Reece was also amazing and looked after us at the bar. Very quite on a Sunday night. Staff were very friendly, food didn't take too long to arrive and the place was clean. The tandoori chicken skewers tasted great and the atmosphere was calm. A very helpful waitress named Tammy was excellent at providing our meals and puddings. She gave very good opinions on the best dishes and met all of our needs. 10/10 made the experience better.

Dropped by tonight for food. Was served drinks by Tammy and Brad who were polite and chatty as always. Reece served our food and was chatty and helpful. Our food was amazing, asked who the chef was and was told it was Richard. Fantastic steak. Looking forward to trying the rest of the new menu

Lovely time loved the food the giant chicken gyros was amazing on the new menu and Carla was very attentative would recommend.

The food was cold, and I had to ask for it to be reheated. But the staff were very helpful and polite. We would return for drinks, but I don't think we will eat here again. X

This is the second time I have had a poor meal at the Wallace. The first time we ordered lasagne, it was so overheated it was burned to the sides of the dish. Didn't complain as thought it may be a one off and staff were so polite. Second visit, waited ages for food, it had obviously been forgotten and was served luke warm. Left whole meal and again as member of staff was so polite thought it best to leave a complaint on your reviews. Will not be going back, food may be reasonably priced but not much point if you can't eat it.!!

went to go for relaxing meal with family and was told all of the dining seats were reserved for bingo! Absolutely ridiculous, i was shoved to a little area with about 8 seats. Everywhere has gone to the dogs, just unbelievable!!

Another visit and a game of pool with mate,sure i'll get beaten but it's the point of making the effort. A few weeks ago we called in the local after a walk, must admit we havem't been in since the start of the lock down, which will seem distant in years to come. Mixed grill and something else. Good clean pub, with cold beer, Cheers.

Absolutely terrible, firstly the staff couldn’t be more unhelpful. Considering my mum and dad are elderly we were put near a really big party of people even though there was a lot of space! We moved ourselves and then proceeded to go and order, good job I ordered the fish first as you didn’t have any… apparently it was still frozen(?) Anyway given that we left…. And won’t be back!

We have had Xmas dinner at our local ,the Wallace, the last few years, and the while the service has always been nice and friendly, the food hasn't always been that great. Last year it all went horribly wrong, with under cooked veg and everything else overcooked.  But we were promised by Zoe that lessons had been learned, and all would be better this year. And it was! Nice starters- my wife said it was the best of all the Prawn cocktails she has had recently. Tender turkey, well cooked roast potatoes and parsnips, lots of carrots and green veg, two Yorkshire puddings and plenty of nice gravy and cranberry sauce.Lots of good food, and maybe even too much of it. And lovely desserts to follow. Very good service from the green haired girl who's name I didn't catch, but I know she is usually normally a barmaid there. The food was brought out promptly, and hot, and she kept our drinks topped up too. So much improved this year. Well done to all involved!

First off all..Fast and friendly service... Fair price on the drink's and menu... But the food let it down so much.. Scampi was so bland chips under cooked mussy peas tasteless.. Wife had a different meal with the same outcome... Onion rings from a packet and in and out of a microwave before you could blink. All in all not worth the money or time.

I see you are changing your opening hours at this pub , instead of opening at 9 am you are opening at 11am each day, I don’t know how many other pubs have had there opening hours changed from next week but I trust the new hours have been updated on your main website to avoid the confusion that has taken place in the past with people turning up for breakfast at the advertised opening hours on your website only to find they were incorrect which have lead to a wasted journey, look forward to your comments and to be informed on how many of your pubs have had there morning opening hours changed as a person who takes breakfast in a number of your pubs around the Midlands.

Table of 5 on a Saturday night, ordering food around 7pm. Unfortunately some of the food we originally wanted had sold out, but the staff were very accommodating with substitution and making sure we were happy. One of us has allergies which some places make very difficult, but the staff here made sure to alter the food "as it comes to suit" a lot of places tend to say, that's how it comes so we won't change it. Service was fairly quick at the bar and the food came in a timely manner given how busy it was. Our group will likely be along on a Wednesday to check out the quiz night.

Came for breakfast this morning we had a big breakfast absolutely gorgeous plenty of it made to feel welcome by a guy sorry didn't get his name very friendly highly recommended!!

Tonight the pub was really busy with just Lucy and Carla serving. Lucy was dealing with drinks orders and did so very professionally and politely in difficult circumstances. There was some very impatient customers who felt they should be served quicker but lucy apologised and updated them with the queuing system. All were served efficiently. Throughout all she remained calm and extremely polite. Carla was dealing with food orders and with a 40% offer on it was very busy. Carla remained her usual bubbly self and again dealt with the queue in a.polite and professional way. Well done ladies, you were amazing tonight!

There was a table booked by two or my family as the chairs have the correct seats for rhe back and bottom, but they were taken, my family mentioned it to the member of staff, but they said sorry so all of us stayed with 4 on the long table and two on the round table of 4 bear in mind im disabled and have a walking stick so i was in the end next to my mum please acknowledge this Thank you

Woke up on a Sunday morning in need of a full English after celebrating my birthday the day before. Went into the Wallace and ordered the large breakfast. It took 30 minutes to come out despite there only being 2 other tables in the pub, admittedly one was a fairly large group of people but they ordered about 10 mins after me. When it arrived the food was mostly cold, I think it had been sitting on the side in the kitchen for a while. The breakfast itself was tasty enough, there was a large pile of bacon (more than I think it said on the menu) and an equally large pile of tater tots/"hash brown bites". The serving of beans was rather small in relation to the size of the breakfast, could have done with increasing the beans and reducing the hash brown bites. All in all it filled a gap but nothing to write home about. Decently priced, large breakfast and a coffee for £10.

Due to the lovely weather thought it would be a good idea to eat out. So revisited The Wallace. Again great choice. Food was delicious very much enjoyed with a few cold pints. Definitely go there again! Staff was great very welcoming.

The steak I ordered was a medium well 8oz sirloin, it arrived and looked horrific like it had been butchered by a rabid dog! It was 35% fat, so I sent it back and asked for another at which point a lady that had been working the bar came and said it was supposed to look like that, I said that I have eaten many steaks and that the steak I was presented was way too fatty she then informed us that she ‘has a food certificate ‘ and supposedly knew what she was talking about then she also completely refused to replace the steak, she explained to us that the rump is less fatty and that I should order that so I said ok but she then informed us that I would have to pay again, I refused and told her to bring back the first steak, then I complained to the people I was with that I wouldn’t feed it to a dog and how i would be leaving a bad review at which point she came back and with a huff she said rudely DO you want me to replace it, I replied that I would like it replaced but not if I would have too pay more. So she said fine it would be 25mins. When I finally got my second steak it was very well done (over done) as opposed to the mid-well I asked for but I could just about eat it, it was incredibly tough but tasted about the same as an average steak would. I informed another member of staff how bad the service from the First Lady was when she questioned weather the food was any better also I love mushrooms but the mushrooms served with the steak were the most vile I have ever eaten (I don’t know how you can mess up mushrooms, they were kind of bitter. I think we were given off mushrooms as they didn’t like our reaction to the food) The starters were delicious (battered mushrooms, halloumi fries and the cauliflower bites) but we were very let down by the service and quality of the steak. Avoid eating here, unless you just get starters and drinks overall I would rate the Wallace 2/10. —after reading the response from Zoe, I was not annoyed because the steak had fat on it, I am well aware that a sirloin cut has fat around it but the steak had a large excess of fat that is not standard, it was also very badly cut, I suggest you find a new supplier for your meat as you sold a disgraceful cut of meat and then tried to act as if I know nothing, as I previously mentioned the steak was at least 1/3rd fat and looked vile. I nearly always get a sirloin steak when I eat out and never have I been served such a low quality cut. I also have a fair knowledge of meat and cuts but there was way too much fat on this steak and you were completely unprofessional and absolutely vile and that fact you are still trying to justify it proves just how much of a fool you are!

Giving two stars but that’s only for the chef. Service was awful - ordered just regular nachos to share they brang out chicken nachos for one. We sent them back and recieved the same nachos just only this time it was for two and without jalapeanos. Tried to tell the waitress they were wrong again but she was trying to say we had ordered wrong - if we wanted hunters chicken nachos we would have said that? The chef ended up coming out and dealt with the issue quickly and professionally as baring in mind we had been in there for 30/40 minutes by this point and hadn’t even had our starter. Mains came out quickly and were nice. Thank you to the chef who dealt with it and actually knew how to do his job and the waitresses job properly. Won’t be returning

Every time I've been here there is an inexplicable wait for everything. I've walked out before now after waiting over 20 minutes at the bar to be served with absolutely no recognition I was even there. Food has been mediocre at best, hit and miss beige, tasteless. Last time I was in there was a table of teenagers (about 13/14yrs) not doing anything but running around the pub playing chase?? They did get asked to leave if they didn't have an adult with them, but one of them ordered food - Bizzare! Think that's been the last resort for me, it's a sizzling disaster.

I went to The Wallace for a meal with my family to celebrate a birthday. The food was lovely, great value for money. The staff were all friendly. The staff also help me surprise my family member with a cake, it was a really nice e gesture on their behalf. I will definitely be going again.

You need to sort out your opening hours online. You lost my business today because online says you open at 9, but you actually don't open til 10. I went elsewhere!

Lovely local. Our go-to local pub. We come here for birthdays and casual drinks/meals. Came here for mum's birthday dinner today. We all enjoyed it. The food was brilliant and affordable. The drinks were lovely. The service was absolutely brilliant. My uncle was shocked by the quality of food for the prices. He said it was brilliant and he'll be coming back in the near future. We were served by the girls (Victoria and Aimee) and they were so good with both, our at counter services and our table services. Lovely ladies and very polite. Excellent service, honestly couldn't fault them. We were sat in the back garden and it was a beautiful day. The sun shining, and it was a nice relaxing setting. Props to the girls today (Victoria and Aimee) as it was a very hot day, yet they continued on their services with a smile and patience. The Wallace is our favourite local and there's quite a few around here.

Kept waiting for food it arrived cold with missing items waited 15 minutes to be served at bar never any staff behind bar I can only put this down to whoever manages the pub dreadfully. Whoever the manager is they need training on how to manage a pub and manage staff. If I could give the review no stars I would.

Service was first class, we felt looked after and the kids had pens and paper to fill the time. Food was good.

I called into the Wallace early afternoon with some gifts to wrap for my wife while I had a pint. All the staff were really friendly, good atmosphere, relaxing music in background. I was struggling with my gift wrapping when a lady from behind the bar offered to help. Kath wrapped all the presents Fantastically, chatting throughout. The other lady behind me the bar, Victoria really friendly as well. Food looked lovely with folk around me commenting how nice it was. Overall a lovely experience, I shall be calling in more regularly to the Wallace in future

Excellent service from Damien even though they were very busy. Food was nice and hot. Great discount with 40% off. Will be coming again.

The food and service was really good, unfortunately the pub needs some love, the outside could do with painting and toilets need upgrading.
