Roast dinner was cold and the service was even colder. The older lady has no manners. Would not recommend to anyone . Strange atmosphere

Good atmosphere, quick service but in my experience of going there , especially lately the staff seem to pay more attention to the regulars than other visitors, I think it would be a better experience if more attention was payed to everyone

Great food, good beer. What's not to like???

Sat outside for a couple of drinks. Bar staff very helpful and friendly - went and fetched water for the dog bowl of her own accord, and checked if it needed a refill . Didn't eat here.

I attended a charity event, like others thought it was inside, so it was a bit disappointing that we were outside in the open sheds with a holey roof and floor with puddles. I did venture inside to use the toilet and noticed that the pub itself was large inside with plenty of seats, a good-sized bar, and also looked to be a pool table. The staff that I saw seemed very friendly.

Food was lovely and a good price. Was breakfast but staff was nice and let us order of the main menu as we had already had breakfast. Will definitely go again. £17 for 3 people's main and one drink is so good

Stopped off here for a drink after the football, locals seemed friendly enough as were the barstaff. Nice and warm inside also clean and tidy.

Went out for Xmas dinner 50 pp is not worth the money and drinks to expensive won't be booking next time.cheaper to do it at home.

Friendly welcome from the bar staff/owners? we were told the kitchen would be re opening in 15 minutes or so. clean table, pub atmosphere. we ordered a gammon steak and fish and chips. when the meals arrived, I had a mouthful of the fish and it tasted nice, batter was over cooked which was a shame. when I tried to cut into the fish most of it was vitually raw, I would guess the temperature of the fryer was too high, burnt batter raw fish. when serving a steak its best to provide a steak knife as none were supplied it was very difficult to cut the gammon steak which was thick. Portion size was large, but when the food is not cooked correctly its all disappointing.

What a delight to walk into a pub, close to home & to be served up with a Sunday lunch to match anything anywhere else. Cooked & prepared by folk who care. A few minutes to wait as It is cooked to order, but time to enjoy a Timothy Taylor. Then, when the dish arrives, with gravy boat and sauce bucket, my eyes still trying absorb the display of beautiful food, we tuck in. Thank you to the Parkgate team.

Friendly staff doing Table Service and taking your order as you Arrive and signing A book giving your details very covid safe and payments by card or cash once drinks are ordered they come to find you and bring your drinks great Atmosphere even though it is well spread out for Safety purposes to staff and people in the beer garden great for families too!

Been my local for years now. Huge selection of gins and beers. New kitchen owner with an fantastic menu at great prices. Really lovely family friendly pub. Covid secure. Back garden was done up through lockdown and it's amazing. Sheltered with heaters and really spacious. Loads of seating our front, indoors and out the back. Perfect pub. Roast dinners are amazing!

Very pleasant. I was forced into here today by a friend I was giving a lift to as his car is broken. Very friendly , smart, experienced and covid friendly. Good beer also 😀

This has been transformed from a fun pub to a fun pub that also does great food. Atmosphere great. They even asked for feedback! Tasty generous portions. Then disco after on a saturday till late!!

Couple of beers took a mixed grill from the Dhabah Restaurant home, Wow never seen so much meat for£14 well well worth the money and all good

Fantastic quality food since the new kitchen take over. Taste of India. If you want a taste of home then highly recommend. Good prices, excellent value for money.

I have visited this place a few times and every time I have been I have been made welcome by staff and regulars the staff are really nice and polite they go the extra mile for there customers highly recommend this place if people are looking for a nice quiet drink after a busy day at work

We popped in as we had heard a few nice comments.. the pub itself is quite old inside not very modern and a bit tired but the food was beautiful!! The beef a little over cooked for my liking as I like rare meat but it was still delicious and very tender. Gravy was gorgeous and mash spot on! Would definitely recommend, was a proper fresh home made Sunday dinner! My son had a steak which he gave 10/10 for! We will be back 😋😋 also very friendly, welcoming service 👍🏻

Had the best eggs Benedict we've ever had and a nice quiet drink with my other half. Friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Apparently their steaks and Sunday lunches are amazing so we will be back soon!

Went to the Parkgate on a Saturday afternoon - lovely pub, friendly staff, good selection of drinks and very comfortable large bar with lots of comfy seating available. The outside area at the back of the bar was good, and was being well used. There is also some outdoor seating on the grass area at the front and A spacious car park at the side of the pub. All this was good, but the best thing about the afternoon was the live band that played from four in the afternoon until after eight. The music was great, we could have listened to these talented musicians and singers all night. There was a good variety of music played. Would we return ? Absolutely we would.

In the early 80's we lived nearby and used this pub a lot. So on a visit we went back. Since then the inside has been altered to make one large room with the bar along the front of the building. It did have some real ale but just a couple. Out side at the back there is a covered area that is not very appealing nand needs a tidy up.Inside is clean and has plenty of seating. They were serving Sunday Lunch that seemed very popular and looked very good. Parking available and access for people with walking disabilities. Children were welcome.

I normally drink wine but have carling in here, great pint and I can bring my dog in !

Pub of choice when going to watch football at the Ricoh. Good beers and food, but think they could offer free parking depending on a minimum spend in the pub
