Great service and excellent food and generous portion sizes, staff polite and helpful

Great food, really enjoyed the chicken kebab

We were greeted at the door and given a lovely table by the window. We ordered drinks at the bar but used the QR code to order our food. I had the chicken kebab which was very tasty, my friend had the chicken pops and chips. The food came quickly, all condiments and cutlery was already provided on the table. The manager Ian came over and said hello, made us both feel at home. Great visit!

Like to thank Debbie for her amazing service so attentive and ensured we all had a good time celebrating my son’s 4th birthday. All food was lovely to.

Very dog friendly restaurant. Reserved a table online and dog was allowed in the main seating area, so you are not made to sit outside or anywhere awkward. Order by table service, very efficient and not a long wait. Food came out well cooked, tasty and exactly as ordered. Staff very helpful and friendly too. I would recommend.

I came to Coventry to have a Meal with My Daughter and her Boyfriend as her Birthday is soon I have to say the service Food was great good portions and definitely value for money would definitely recommend.

Scott did extremely well, when dealing with confrontational customer. She was not very nice at all and he was in the right. He stayed very professional throughout even though visibly uncomfortable.

This was a half way point for a family meet up for my dad’s 82nd birthday. Nothing was too much trouble. The team were friendly and made a fuss of our table ensuring everything was in order. The food all came out together despite there being 10 of us. The lady serving us (sorry - didn’t get her name) was so friendly. The food was what I would expect for the price we paid and there were no complaints. Really good experience and nice touch of a birthday card for my dad! Thank you.

Husband"s birthday, so party of 9 adults and 2 toddlers had a lovely reasonably priced meal with excellent , friendly, service. Highly recommended.

The Penny Farthing is an easy-going pub where you are welcomed by friendly staff when you go there for a meal or a drink. It is a popular place so give them a ring to book a table if you want to go there for a meal.

Beeing there with kids. Have a small play area for kids outside with tables. You can find kids corner inside as well. They have a parking area near but it is not too big.

Great place to take the family , great food , great service , kids love it with the kids zone inside, a play area outside and a park across the little road , adults can have a guilt free pint ;)

The best pub around for a cheap but lovely meal! I have never been anywhere that serves top quality meals without the price tag. We all had the cowboy burger which is a family favourite with the option to top up your fries and add the extras. The food was really lovely and the pub itself is great. Only wish there was more tables outside.

Served quickly. Staff were helpful. Food came out - all hot on a hot plate - I complimented the barman on this on my way out. Steaks cooked exactly as ordered 10/10.

The best steak in the area, visited many times and it continues to deliver good quality well cooked food, I always say if you can cook, rest and serve a good steak it's a good sign of a quality chef

Come today for lunch with my two friends, I come here often for food as they have a good gluten free menu, I am also dairy free and requested vegan cheese on my burger which the man behind the bar was happy to do for me and went and talked to the chef who was also happy to do this for me, the food was out within 30 minutes my friends got pizzas they looked lovely, service was good, definitely recommend especially if you have food intolerances as they are very understanding and helpful.

Food was lovely and my daughter ordered a pizza - Callum let ger watch him make the pizza and stretch the dough, as well as talking through each step (and offering extra cheese) until it went into the pizza oven. We have just been for a meal for the first time Food excellent But very upset at the amount of Dogs in there I did ask a gentleman about it and he explained that they are allowed in a certain area as my friend is very allergic and not feeling good I personally don't think dog should be allowed especially sitting on the furniture we travelled from Solihull to your place we will come back as we enjoyed the food and will sit in the area where Dogs are not allowed thank you We came again last night 4 of us what a poor show NO chips only fries They were stone cold in fact we left them and travelled from Solihull to your place you did explain there was a shortage I know you are corporate but I would have gone to a supermarket and purchased some Very Poor😡

Absolutely loved it. Bar staff was amazing. Food was even better. Atmosphere was fabulous. My children couldn’t eat all there dinner so we asked for takeaway box’s and the staff couldn’t have been anymore lovelier or helpful. Only been hear once before and that was on the Monday for fun bingo. Will not be the last time I bring my family here. Thankyou for a lovely chilled out dinning experience.

Lovely place to eat with friends and family. A good varied menu with reasonable prices. All very delicious. Good decor and very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.I visited as a charity group of eight people and we were shown to a quiet corner to have our meeting. It was nice to have no music blaring. My partner and I shared a starter. Then I had the Ultimate Veggie Burger with sweet potato fries, and it was delicious 😋. For a vegetarian this was good value and a good menu option to choose, no fault and all eaten. The restaurant floor, tables and toilets were very clean. And the staff very helpful.

This place is bangin!! Been going for years and best it's ever been!! New menu recently started and its well worth a try. Vegan options are really good and the bang bang cauliflower kebabs are awesome! Not on the menu, but just ask at the bar. Prices are reasonable and occasional offers. Great selection of ales and drinks. We had a slight issue with my partners food, nothing major and we said it wasn't a problem, it was sorted immediately with apologies and a free round of drinks. We said it wasn't necessary but they insisted. Really nice staff and great atmosphere. They show sports, have a pub quiz and beer offers, two Moretti's for £7 every Friday at the moment. Kids play area outside and small one inside with tablets and games. Check it out, but book a table first!!! It gets busy.

Lovely food relaxed place to eat helpful staff

Food is always spot on, staff always helpful and polite. Not much riffraff in here overall fairly decent place. I go here often for a quiet meal with family and friends. Send the kids out to the garden job done! :-)

Ate here yesterday for my mum's 90th Birthday, there was 9 of us eating food was lovely all hot and came out the same time we brought our own cake which staff brought out service was very good nothing was too much trouble would recommend eating here

Table we had booked was ready and waiting when we arrived, there was only one member of staff behind the bar who was brilliant but due to the pub being extremely busy waiting for service was inevitable, one out of the four meals a chilli chicken flatbread was of poor quality I.e. meat was tasteless and certainly not spicy and the meal was tepid and not hot.

I went to the Penny Farthing for lunch yesterday and had a very enjoyable meal including a main course, dessert and a drink. It is a place I can recommend and I will be returning again soon.

Fab service and staff. But due unfortunately to low staffing, no pizzas for kids. Meals were tasty but small portions . It's a great pub, love the su day roasts although roast potatoes are s.all.

Great value food for the price. Staff were great. Mostly clean but the tables were sticky although didn't look unclean. Also our menus were minging but we did see staff cleaning them when wiping down tables so maybe ours had just been missed. Other than that we loved our visit.

I have to many marston pubs but the penny farthing is one to Visit I would recommend

I’ve been to the penny farthing multiple times and the staff are also brilliant, the manager Matthew always makes sure the customers are happy and are being served the pub is always clean and tidy never had any complaints about the food I’ve had always amazing would highly recommend visiting the penny farthing pub

I went to penny and have been going a long time.. But I won't step foot in that place again.. With bar manager I think it was? only way to describe was piecing awful attitude my food was terrible.. peas smelly sent it bk to say I won't be getting refund to staff that was on nearly fall over because of the smell.. Nasty

Came twice recently as it’s such a lovely place. Manager Ian was great with us the first time as we hadn’t booked and it was busy but he made our visit stress free. We booked the second time though. Food is absolutely fantastic! I love my steak and love it cooked a particular way and twice they’ve done it perfect! Rest of my family had clean plates all round both times too.

Staff are always really friendly & helpful, the baby changing room is always so clean and spacious, great service.

Polite staff food quickly served clean tables

Love coming for the quiz and the atmosphere. It's the most homely new built pub I've been too. Update. Make sure you wave directly at the bar staff or direct eye contact with them or you will be ignored or served after people that arrive after you. When questioning things on the menu make sure you point specifically to what you mean otherwise they might not understand the efficiency and knowledge of the bar staff seems to have dipped.

We have been visiting the Penny Farthing since it opened, it’s had its ups and downs depending on the manager but the current manager and his team are doing a great job. The food is always very good and the gluten free menu is really important to one of the family so makes us choose there over other places. The service is always good, food comes out well cooked and without a wait, even when it’s busy, the pub pulls a good pint too! Could just do with a bit more music, although may not be possible considering the locality to houses. Great job Penny Farthing!

OUR CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER WAS FANTASTIC... Food was superb... There was 7 of us and we all said what great food we had.. And we all had different. Prawn cocktails were lovely.. All Dinners were lovely... And our deserts as well.. Service was brilliant, very friendly and efficient and attentive.. We cannot fault any of our Xmas day meal or time there... Thank you penny farthing for a great day... And we'll be back again next Christmas

I went to have some dinner here yesterday and I’ve now got food poisoning from the beef burger I’m not sure why but the beef tasted odd when I ate it. The pub is got a nice atmosphere to it but I can’t give it any higher rating because I’m now suffering from constant throwing up

We were here for Xmas Dinner. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was very festive. What let the occasion down was the quality of the food. This is our 3rd year here for Xmas day dinner and I don't feel this year was as good as others. What was served was hot, roast potatoes were appalling. Prawn cocktails were poor The apple crumble tart thing was disgusting. Not finished by anybody. On the whole this meal wasn't worth what was paid. Very poor value.
