Lovely little cafe, where the staff is always friendly. We enjoy the food, the brownies and especially the coffee from here!

Lovely breakfast and the tea and coffee is just first class. Warm welcome and such a cozy atmosphere. Can get busy on a Saturday but so easy to ask to reserve a table and give a time.

We went in here for a coffee and what a great place. Atmosphere was lovely everyone greeted us with hello. It was busy but didn’t wait very long. All the beautiful cakes scones etc are made in the cafe and they are so so delicious. We had cheese scones well I have never seen such tall scones and they were so tasty. Great value. This place has a lot of special needs people working here and they are so lovely and attentive to you nothing is too much trouble. Wish there was more places like this we will definitely go again when we are in the area.

Lovely cafe in the community, found this place when I ordered via Too Good To Go . Friendly staff , was made to feel welcome even though I was only collecting the TGTG bag. Was able to choose some pasties and then other items were added by staff/owners. The prices look good and I'm definitely going to come back and use the cafe when I can. Can definitely recommend the cheese and onion pasties, the cookies and the Victoria slice. Photo doesn't do the items justice but they did survive the journey home!

This cosy pub has a distinct "military" vibe; you can tell there's a strong heritage here. I've had the English breakfast here a few times and I absolutely love it, for a few reasons. To begin with, the breakfast items themselves are really good, really tasty Second, you can "configure" your breakfast to have exactly what you want, how much you want, and how you want it; no two breakfasts have to be alike, lol! There's a smallish outside garden as well, for those summer days on which to enjoy a cold pint. The only drawback is that the pub has zero parking, none at all, and that's a bit of a shame. But otherwise, you really can't go wrong at the Foundry Arms.

Having read the reviews we booked and looked forward to our evening meal at the Oriel. After a warm welcome we both chose Thai vegetable stir fries which were excellently prepared and contained many tasty fresh vegetable ingredients. We can wholeheartedly recommend you try these. There is a wide ranging menu to please many tastes and children have their own section of the menu. The staff work hard and it’s clearly their priority to ensure diners enjoy their meals during their time at the restaurant. We hope to visit again.

We got married at the Guildhall and held our celebration afterwards at the Crown. All the preparations before the day went well. Communication was very good with prompt responses and the price was good. The room we had was absolutely beautiful. The bar was well stocked and well managed. There is a beautiful outside area which we were lucky enough to enjoy due to glorious weather. Lisa and her team couldn't have done anymore to make our day perfect. We had a wonderful day and would highly recommend the Crown to anyone.

We visited this establishment on a Tuesday lunch time. There was outdoor seating available we chose to sit there and watch the world go by. Orders were taken at the table, but I would note you had to go inside when you wanted to pay. We both ordered Ham egg and chips, which was disappointing. The egg ( yes only 1) was cooked in a ring ( very McDonald’s esq) and was very overdone. No runny yolk as one would expect with this dish to dip chips and ham into. The Ham was ok, and the chips passable but sparse. I’d say possibly we made a bad decedent with what we ordered, however it’s not difficult to get this british staple meal right. I’d say overpriced based on our meal that day. I wouldn’t choose to go back. On a side note and this is outside of the proprietors control. We were bothered several times by shady characters whilst sat outside establishment. All trying to sell counterfeit or stolen perfume and tobacco. They are quite persistent and off putting.

Visited today for a bacon sandwich and a very good coffee. Staff are lovely and food arrived super quick and was very good. It's a large airy space with a play area for children and two bookshelves where you can donate books or buy a paperback for 50p or a hardback for a £1. Was a cold day and being there felt like a warm hug.

I popped by recently to meet up with a business partner, I don't know what it is about the latte but they're dangerously moreish and go down great with the breakfast baps. I usually find station baps are chewy and inedible, I'm glad they broke the pattern! The atmosphere is nice too, with classic radio playing instead of a random playlist on a loop; something I miss. If you're in a rush for the train, the guys are great with prioritising so that the drink you nabbed to speed you up doesn't slow down your whole day.
