Courtyard Tea Room in Poole

We popped in today for a cream tea, we wanted somewhere cosy and welcoming for our children's first cream tea experience. We were not disappointed. The owners were extremely friendly, service and food amazing. We definitely recommend.

We came across this twee little tea room when we were visiting & walking round Poole... I spotted sign saying tea room & a little what looked like a narrow walkway through a open door... We were greeted with very friendly staff & small seating area which was twee & very inviting. Comfy seats. Unfortunately it was raining hard so didn't sit outside. Husband had cake & I had scone which were Delicious. Coffee's great too.. Lovely atmosphere.

Haven't been in here for twenty years or more. Excellent friendly service.

A lovely little café in the old town hidden away, so be sure to look out for it. Opersite Sainsbury's.

Wonderful place to stop for tea and cake. Slightly away from the quay, but we’ll worth it. It is so nice to visit a tea shop which isn’t run by some large chain and has staff who really care about the food, the drinks and the customers. It was sparkling clean and the food was good. W will be back.

Good choice of teas reasonably priced. Various cakes untested. Seating outside on plastic grass. About the change owners.

We nearly missed this lovely hidden away tea room and glad we found it. Short on time so just had a drink but good coffee and Chai tea and really reasonable. Lovely staff too.

Reasonable prices, very dog friendly which is huge for us, cosy; they have water bottles and blankets for customers! Lovely staff and worth a trip.

Great little spot hidden away. Great selection of food and drink (and even ice for the dog). Sit outside in the sun or shade, or inside in the cool. Definitely will be back.

Lovely little place for afternoon tea, there’s more options on the menu for other foods and a good selection of drinks. very good prices. Lovely polite and happy staff. Very relaxing and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely visit again. X

A little gem of a cafe, tucked down a narrow alleyway in Poole's old town. You could easily miss it - look out for the sign up high that says Tea Rooms. There are a few different places to sit, 2 tables by the kitchen, the courtyard and the Snug which has 4 separate tables. There is an array of delicious looking cakes - we had a Dorset Apple and Chocolate Brownie, warmed up with a choice of ice cream or clotted cream. Yum! This cafe is only a 5 minute walk from the Quay but the prices are much better. I look forward to visiting again next time I'm in Poole.

A warm welcome awaits you from this team. Nothing is too much trouble. Cake & coffee we're delicious, so we returned later for a sandwich served with all the timings. Again, it was yummy 😋 and yet again, we were welcomed like regulars! Would definitely recommend.

Hidden gem on the high street with staff that couldn’t do enough for you. Quaint and fabulous food and service Farmers eggs so flavoursome and the scones were delicious Highly highly recommend

These ladies are the best! My dad goes here on a regular basis and also takes my young son here to tea! They always come back so happy and I know it's down to the care and attention of the staff/owners- plus the food that's made with love! May this little gem continue to thrive for years to come.x

A literal hidden gem. ( it's down a short sort of covered ally and very easy to miss.) It's A fantastic little tea room, with some of the best tea I've had in some time and some fantastic food.

What a good find, my sister and I discovered this little tea room today and were really impressed. The food was lovely, we had the bacon, brie and cranberry panini which was served with salad, coleslaw and crisps and it was delicious. The staff were lovely and I look forward to going back again.

As a birthday treat for my hairdresser and myself as we share the same birthday, we had a lovely cream tea, Pennies and Anne was great host, taking care that everything was good

We popped in on the off chance with our two dogs. We were made to feel very welcome. The owners were very nice amd friendly. They made us feel at home. The food was excellent. Would Highly recommend a visit.

Taken here for my birthday for an afternoon tea. Firstly I have lived in Poole for over 20 years and never knew this little gem was here. And what a smashing little place it is. The atmosphere is lovely, the ladies who served us were so kind and friendly and the food was to die for. Everything was just so nice and fresh. Thank you for such a lovely unrushed afternoon. Definitely going back.

Incredible little tea room. Qaint and comfortable. The staff are super friendly, and welcome you like they are welcoming you into their home. We had cream tea and the scones were lovely! Would definitely recommend. It's quite small so in busy times you will struggle to get a table, but they did have an outside courtyard with seating. The front door is easily missed so keep a keen eye open when you're looking for it. It's literally a single entrance door in a parade of shops that walks you into the tea Room at the back.

Just re-opened under new ownership, Penny and her team have made this wonderful tea-room breathtakingly perfect. I hired the Snug for a 50th Birthday breakfast for my best friend and Penny her team couldn’t have been more accommodating or welcoming. The food was incredible. So good we double breakfasted haha! The menu is varied, traditional yet unique and the food absolutely gorgeous. Feel emosh from such an extra special experience. It’s lovely, absolutely perfect. Oooo, they even have hot water bottles and blankets incase people want to sit outside on cooler days. Toooo cuuuute. Thank you both for the best morning xx

Cosy & homely little tea room. Pretty courtyard area. Though on our visit we sat inside as cold and rainy. Tasty and delicious food; especially the cranberry & orange scones and cappuccino flapjacks.

Oh wow what can I say, went for a birthday surprise at the Courtyard Tea Rooms. The staff went above and beyond to make the afternoon special. We had the Festive afternoon tea, absolutely stunning, I am not a lover of cake, fair to say there was none left on my plate. Please give this lovely tea room in Poole a visit.

What a lovely little gem of a place! I was introduced to The Courtyard Tea Rooms today by a friend. We sat out in the prettily decorated "Snug". The staff were friendly and the service was great. I had a choca-mocha coffee and a chocolate scone (I like chocolate!) which was very nice indeed! I'll definitely be making a return visit.

Probably the best afternoon tea ever! This is a very hidden away little cafe, but well worth seeking out as the food was amazing. Thoroughly recommended.

Amazing tea rooms. Cream tea was delicious - they even offer vegan scones!! Wide selection of teas to choose from. I went for jasmine fairies, which was lovely. Staff are warm and welcoming. Will be back again soon.

A well organized, beautiful Tea room run by a very passionate local family, located in the middle of Poole town centre. We had English High Tea and it was very satisfying. Staff (presumably the people who run the restaurant) was very friendly, patient and helpful. I highly recommend here for an afternoon Tea experience. Thanks. 👍

Yet another fantastic celebrity afternoon tea in The Courtyard. This place is a hidden gem and is like it's own oasis off heaven. The food is exquisite and all made fresh to order, from the tea cups and tea pots, to the pretty decor made our afternoon tea just amazing. Jane and her staff were as always very polite, helpful and went out off their way to make our visit a very special one. Myself, my sister celebrated our Aunties and our Mum's birthdays and we all had a wonderful time. The food was just divine. I can't wait to return. See you all soon.
