We had a gorgeous brunch, staff were friendly and helpful...also gave us a table that was easier to manage with 10 month old baby with no fuss. Highly recommended.

Cosy and chic little cafe with delicious food. Popped in for a quick lunch. Great range of options on the menu. Staff were friendly and warm. My bacon sandwich was cracking... could taste the quality. They also sell a range of very good wine. Plenty of parking options nearby. Excellent coffee. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely wine bar with staff who are willing to guide you through the ever changing wine list if you don't know what you're after. Had their food for the first time last night and couldn't recommend it more, small plates perfect for sharing and what they can accomplish in a small kitchen is perfect accompaniment for the great wine. Really reasonably priced for what you get and most places in the area would charge more of a premium but you can tell the staff want to deliver something that makes you feel welcome and want to come back.

My favourite restaurant locally, amazing food and wine, fantastic staff. Interesting delicious brunches and creative evening meals with wine tasting evenings. Feel lucky to have this restaurant so close to where we live.

By far the best brunch spot around. The food is always varied and excellent. Caters well for gluten free as well

Really nice to have a different menu in amongst all the usual local food options, great wine selection and pairings with dessert’s. Staff were knowledgeable and more than happy to chat around the wines, adds so much to a night out and a proper experience- not just dinner.

Super vibe in this small but perfectly formed bar/café/restaurant which will serve you brunch or lunch. Then dinner in the form of small plates -mix and match - or large plates for a more satisfying course. There are meat and cheese boards too. But the hero of the show must be the wines. Really delicious. We shall return!

What a gem! I've been here twice for brunch and both have been excellent experiences. The veggie cooked breakfast is WAY more thoughtful and fancy than one you come across at most places - the smoked halloumi was life changing. I also really enjoyed the vegan option with whipped cashew and mushrooms. Service is fantastic and there's also a really lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to visit again soon

Had lunch with you today with a friend. Our first time. The food was lovely and very different from the norm which was nice. Staff were very friendly. I will definitely come again.

I’d had brunch a couple of times here so knew the food was completely delicious and a little different to the norm. And I was not left disappointed with the evening food! It’s so refreshing to have slightly less choice than some menus but still great variety and know that every single item on your plate is going to be mouth-watering! The owners are also clearly serious about their wine, and it is a lovely touch to be able to sample some of the options before deciding which one - not something we asked for, but the owner clearly wants you to love what you choose! We were also pleasantly surprised by the bill at the end, finding the food in particular very reasonably priced - not something you can often say these days! I went with my sister, and as every parent of small children knows, a meal out is a rare luxury and so you want to choose the perfect place to go…this is it! I’m excited this fab, unique gem of a place is just round the corner, and look forward to my next opportunity to go back (hopefully soonish)!!

Had a lovely brunch here yesterday. 6 adults, one child. The waiter couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating. Very relaxed atmosphere. Delicious coffee and food. Happy to accommodate the child with us for eggs and toast. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

We booked here for breakfast before a wedding at Canford Cliffs hoping it would see us through the day. Best decision ever. Breakfast was outstanding. So many veggie options and options for meat eaters as well. The veggie hearty was the best breakfast I’ve ever eaten. The shakshuka, whipped feta and meaty hearty all went down well. Great coffee and lovely host. Would highly recommend.

Great brunch and very reasonable price for the quality of food.

Stopped by for a takeaway coffee. Really friendly service and delicious coffee. Even though dogs aren’t allowed inside they were happy to bring the coffee out for us

Absolutely incredible place. The food and the service is out of this world!! The friendliest place you’ll find on the south coast with amazing amazing food. I’ve been here 3 times now, a thali night, brunch with the family and an evening meal with a friend and it was all exceptional. Thank you so much for having us!

Today we visited again, what I love they have added many vegan and vegetarian options, the food was wonderful, I'm impressed. ------------------ What a lovely surprise, generally I don't expect much from breakfast but we were pleasantly surprised, the food was so good! The flavours were so precise and to the point, the food and the complete dish served were just exactly balanced, fresh and very unique to the local offered food in the area. Service was quick and kind. A few things to improve, 1. We called to reserve but were only offered highchair seats (we were later offered to move and that's fine). 2. The place was a tad cold. 3. More vegan/non gluten options would be perfect (Oat milk may contain Gluten) Can't wait to come again.

My sort of place. Natural wines, orange wines, quirk selection. More light bits and snacks. My kind of place, so it won’t be everyone’s.

2nd visit today. Delicious brunch - wonderful service. The crispy potatoes are to die for. Getting excited looking at upcoming wine roasting evenings (especially the fish & chips with champagne). A little jewel - bravo for bringing such a place to Penn Hill 👏

Absolutely brilliant.. attended a wine tasting evening. Great selection of wines, knowable staff, lovely cheese and ham boards. I cannot wait to return again.

The staff were lovely and attentive. Giving an atmosphere of relaxing intimacy to our visit. The food was lovely, as was the coffee. It is nice to see local produce being used and all around a good environmental mentality. The limit of only four choices may seem a put off to a few out there. But to have four choices prepared perfectly rather than a dozen choices that come out ok is preferable in my opinion. For those looking to enjoy in or take something away, the display of wines available to buy adds to the atmosphere and allows you to try something new or enjoy an old favourite. I will definitely be back.

Tasty, good quality food, lovely venue & friendly staff

This is a lovely place, having eaten there several times, I have always found Scott and Fran and the team so welcoming and friendly, the food is delicious and beautifully presented

Went to the Indian night this evening at the four in Penn hill and so glad we did. The food was excellent the black Dahl was on par with Dishoom in London. Rest of the good was just as good. Good service excellent food and a nice cold beer. Overall a great night out and also excellent value. Thanks to all at The Gour for a great evening we will be back

I rarely rate anything the maximum but I cannot deny this place the full marks! The breakfast was the nearest thing to perfect. This place is a hidden gem of Poole.

This new little restaurant is a wonderful place for breakfast. They have a limited menu of four main items but they are all different from the usual breakfast menu. I tried the very tasty shakshuka which came with wonderful sourdough toast. Perfect for a cold winters morning. And the coffee is good too. Recommend

Good breakfast and Great service

The Four is the best place for breakfast / brunch in Poole. We had the shakshuka with smoked halloumi, which was absolutely incredible. Great service, relaxed atmosphere and excellent coffee. Highly recommend!

5 star experience always at The Four! Fran thank you for indulging me and spending time talking wine. Your knowledge and passion shines through. Look forward to more brunches at what I am lucky enough to call my local.

A great addition to the local area. Probably the best place for breakfast in Poole and the wine bar is great in the evening.

Fantastic new addition to Penn. Delightful knowledgable hosts with PROPER craft beer, not the rather boring and unchanged selection across the road. Apparently the wine was good too. Lovely cheese plate. Brunch was fantastic as well with best coffee we have found so far in the Poole area. Reminds a lot of small bars in Fremantle. Go!

We called in for a coffee and brunch. Really good bacon and sausage butties, nice sour doe. Owners were lovely, very friendly. Good prices as well.

What a gem in Penn Hill. Delicious food with great takes on brunch. Quality produce, clearly carefully chosen- in their food and wine. The Hearty breakfast was just that. One of the best I've had. Lovely atmosphere in the evening too. Fabulous wines and great sharer boards. Will be back soon! Thanks guys.

A 5 star experience - we went for brunch and coffee - the food was freshly made and the ingredients felt to a high standard. The staff were very professional, welcoming and knew their stuff. Cannot wait to come back for a cocktail or wine in the evening. Keep it up! What a great asset to the area.

This is our new favourite wine bar. If you love wine and locally sourced food then you MUST visit this place. It’s also one of the only wine bars in Bournemouth which serves delicious natural wine. The food is incredible and made by a very talented lady! Don’t miss the evening cheese plates and don’t miss brunch the next day!!
