Great pub with friendly staff and a proper landlord. We booked the Sunday lunch which was excellent. Every member of our party said it was the tastiest and best Sunday roast they have tasted. The dinner included lots of roast potatoes with fantastic flavours like beetroot cooked with star anise-we think, another lovely mash of unknown ingredients, the best succulent beef and a tray of cauliflower cheese. We will definitely be going back.

Tired environment, filthy floor with large pieces of cake and crumbs everywhere. Sticky cluttered tables and stained upholstery on the chairs. Peeling paint from possible water damage above the food and drink service counter. All most unpleasant and unhygienic. Considering there are so many coffee outlets around you would think they'd up their game.

AVOID AT ALL COST - if you want food After booking a table for 4 on Monday 22nd Aug for brunch we arrived to be told sorry, the waitress had sent back the wrong card machine and they were closed. We rebooked for Tuesday 23rd Aug arrived again after parking in town for 2 days, to be told, sorry we have no water today. We have closed the kitchen. You can imagine my disappointment 2 days on the trott, what a way to run a business. The manager was basically saying tough there is nothing I can do about it. Terrible attitude rude and no help what so ever. Good luck if you go for food.

We popped here to have a browse and a hot drink. Found a table in the window and almost gave up getting a drink until wen to another till and magically an assistant appeared when my friend had told them no-one was there. Coffee was good and the shop was light and airy and a pleasant place to enjoy a drink.

Very average coffee at a very high price! Poor snack choices and nothing for vegans! Worst of all, they don’t take cash, as if they were trying to usher in the New World Order or keep out the poorest in society. I won’t be coming back.

Nice enough cafe and the cakes are lovely. However they really need to rethink their pricing for children. I paid almost £9 for the smallest sandwich we've ever been given in a cafe, and 3 kids snacks (banana, yoghurt pouch and crisps).... assuming the 3 snacks at the absolute most were £3 it was almost £6 for a sandwich with almost no filling and a tiny slice of thick bread....not overly suitable for a toddler. Unfortunately it's unlikely i would return and it's a shame as there isn't much suitable in the city centre for kids. There should be a kids menu for £5-6 as there is in most places, even if this consisted of 1 less snack it would be more affordable for many families.

I went with my sister and brother-in-law for an early birthday celebration. When we arrived, there were a few tables and chairs outside in the sunshine. As I’m not allowed to sit facing the sun, because of my health, I was able to sit with the sun on my back and part of me was in the shade. They had a cappuccino each and a bacon blini and I had cress and egg sandwiches with a mango and passion fruit cooler. I found mine to be very delicious, though I thought a tad expensive for their coffees and my meal. One of the male staff cleared away the dirty plates and drinks on the different trays, as we sat there. He took ours away, when we finished. I’m not sure if I’ll go by myself to have lunch here.

Went here a couple of weeks ago on Saturday afternoon. Ordered a tea and it was fine. Sadly, I found the staff a bit rude. The name on the cup was wrong, and although I didn't mind that at all, when I mentioned it (because I was worried I had taken someone else's drink) the lady serving was quite obnoxious and sarcastic. I had been polite myself. When I went to the table to have the drink, I could hear the man working on the till complaining that i had mentioned this, in a way that made me feel I was being made fun of. I wouldn't go here again and it doesn't surprise me that this place has the lowest reviews I've ever seen on here.

Amazing views from this bar on the roof of Hotel Indigo. Sadly, really terrible service from the barman, which was surprising as there was a staff meeting happening in the bar at the same time. We were having cocktails to celebrate a friend's birthday, after enjoying a spa day in the Retreat in the basement of the hotel (which was amazing). So we thought we'd finish the day up in the bar. The barman was so awful that we nearly went elsewhere, but the wonderful views were too good to miss. No tables were cleared whilst we were there and seagulls were attacking the peanuts left by previous guests. NB no offer of peanuts to our party of 5...

I ordered a small latte coffee for £4.15! What I got was a cup off hot water and milk that hadn’t been frothed proper. It tasted horrible. I mentioned, to one of the girls about the froth. She took my drink, I thought she would give. Me a new drink. Instead she just put a bit of froth on the top. I was shocked! I usually have a really nice coffee in Starbucks and it needs to be good as it is expensive. I won’t be going back. I threw the drink away it was horrible
