This was a large dull space with NO atmosphere whatsoever, below average pastries an very bad coffee. Starbucks can do it better.

Overpriced coffee, tasteless panini served with a large side of arrogance and unhelpfulness in a dark and grim pit.. Bring your own flask and sandwiches.

I understand working in a place like this can be hard work, customers can be difficult, and I fully sympathise with the underpaid staff. But my experience with staff here has probably been the worst I’ve had in my life. Staff are rude, abrupt, demanding, and I generally feel uncomfortable when using this Starbucks. I travel through the area frequently and use this site for coffee and work, but have decided to go elsewhere. It’s a real shame.

Ordering the coffee was very unpleasant. The person was rude (borderline aggressive) and in the end didn’t get my order right. I do understand that one can have a bad day but the person was only rude towards the customers and very friendly towards his fellow colleagues.

I asked for a decaf latte. They gave me a caffeinated espresso! I didn’t buy a snack as there was a poor selection at £3+ a slice. I caught my train and settled down to drink my coffee. Bitter in the extreme and tasted burnt. I did not drink it.

Use Exeter St Davids regularly and the Starbucks. The staff are very unhelpful and not at all friendly. Got there at lunchtime no sandwiches very poor choice of food. It’s the only place to get a drink and something to eat so maybe they feel they don’t have to bother as no real competition.

Review your staff. This morning my train was cancelled, I decided to get a coffee but I didn't expect I was going to meet the most rude barista ever! The younger guy at the till was shouting at costumers, he was rushing everyone and I could not see a single smile and for sure I did not hear a single "thank you". When I asked for a cappuccino he made an annoyed face while asking very loud "small medium or large", like if we were in the army. After payment, he shouted again, saying that I had to wait on the right side and not standing where I was. He said that, pointing the area with his finger and with very a angry gaze (like when you punish a dog). Obviously this guy is not enjoying is job at all. The guy making coffee never smiled as well, but at least he wasn't rude and angry with people. I work in hospitality as well and I would be ashamed to treat even a single customers like he does.

I've given up ordering coffee. So hot chocolate it was. And it was awful. We have superb milk in the UK but this was watery and weak. Do you actually taste the drinks you make? A generous 2 out of five. On second thoughts, 1/5 as it doesn't deserve a 2. Let's fight back and get decent drinks!

I was on staycation with my family last week and was at starbucks. The barista who served me was all smiles, great service and went the extra mile. I am so grateful in relation to his work ethics! (should have asked for his name)! Cheers Meiling

Needing to wait for a train at Exeter St David’s this is about the only option for drinks, it is dark and dingy with most of the seating down the middle of the room. Staff friendly enough but upsized the drinks from what was asked Not a good place to wait all a bit depressing

I use this station regularly and they never fail to greet me with a moody attitude and sharp tone. Went in today at 6:40 after a long day of traveling and was told they were closing so I was able to buy a panini but would have to have it cold! I then proceeded to look at the closing hours and they aren’t supposed to close until 7:30. Shutters were down by 7, I am still sat here hungry waiting for my next train, thanks Starbucks! 😂

I hit this Starbucks twice, once on the way down to Truro, in hour 6 of an 8 hour journey, and once on the way back. The first visit was the worst - it wasn't even 8 o'clock, but the ovens were switched off, I had to have a cold helium muffin which was disgusting, and the staff were really, really rude to the customers. On the way back, there was some actual food, but the staff were pretty rude to the customers anyway. What a horrible place.

I passed in whilst connecting for a train and decided to get a coffee. I entered with no customers waiting to be served but with 5 staff milling around behind the counter having a chat. I eventually got fed up waiting and apologised for interrupting their socialising because I wanted to buy a coffee. Staff seem to be happy to I turn up as opposed to doing a job and sadly highlights the difference in work ethic of low paid UK staff versus overseas staff.

This lonely branch of this global chain seems a long way from the Starbucks brand promise. I asked for a redbush tea and was told it was made with powder and not very nice. I asked what other decaf tea they had and was told they don’t do any. Then another staff member suggested the green tea and white tea which are both caffeinated. Eventually settled on a mint tea. Product knowledge zero!

I thought the little contact that I had with the staff was tolerable but the expresso with hot milk on the side turned out to be positively poisonous.I am not a big fan of SB anyway but this was really bad.I've had better in Abu Dhabi!Dark & dingy place

Server asked me whether I wanted milk in my americano- then when it wasn’t in it I told him and he rudely told me that there was milk behind him. Why ask me whether I want milk then!? Then I asked the waitress whether I could have a glass of tap water and she just reluctantly gave me one without saying anything. AWFUL costumer service.

waiting in starbucks on friday 20th april betwteen 3pm and 4pm a young blonde girl behind counter was making a drink then walked out from behind the counter to hand station staff a drink and a red head girl turned around and said you know he was suppose to pay for that but i will let you off how does that happen how do i get a free drink this is wrong i was waiting for about 5 minutes the guy with the glasses who then started to make the drinks was friendly and wished me a good day after handing me my drink and said sorry for the delay

Better hot choc in Costa, unfriendly staff. Overall a poor experience coupled with ludicrous pricing. After a long day performing heart surgery at great ormond street all you want is a fag and hot choc with a smile

Very good place to have your coffee in the morning before departure. Reasonable prices and tasty coffee.

It’s a big high ceilinged room to the right of the ticket barrier just before you go in onto the platforms. Strangely it’s been decided that there should be no access from trainside and if as is commonplace here you are waiting on a transfer, you have to come out through the turnstiles and explain to the staff to ensure you will be let back through without losing your ticket in a machine.Although a much bigger standing area than most Starbucks and a line of tables down the centre it does feel a bit bleak and I wonder whether it ever bustles. The coffee is the same worldwide formula, the snacks etc unremarkable and the prices highest, no meal deals that we could remember. There may have been arrivals and departure screens but I didn’t see them. If I were stuck at this station waiting for a delayed train or with a big gap until a connection eg to Torbay or Barnstaple I would be tempted outside onto the Sq where the restaurant at the old station hotel on one side and a couple of shops at the other end would probably leave you better satisfied.
