Weds 10th May. Lunchtime 13.00hrs I’d like to write this review to recognise the hard working team. Friendly welcome, great food and spotlessly clean. Staff seen cleaning handrails and ‘touch’ areas as well as thorough cleaning of tables and chairs. A very pleasant lunch break here today. Thank you.

I’ve been to Nomu many times. During Covid they changed from providing both food and drink to inviting visiting caters to provide the food but the quality is still superb - I have no hesitation in recommending if you have a taste for pan-Asian cuisine.

After two years peeing off most of the neighbourhood with noise and litter and building a live music venue, without planning permission next door to residential gardens, these squatters are finally getting the boot. Shame that the charity that own the building are now heavily out of pocket.

The place is layed out like a cafeteria, the courtyard would be beautiful in the summer (although I’m not sure if it’d be a sun trap or not) They offer gluten free options (home made gluten free bread) and vegan options, food was decent, portions and prices average however there was a mishap with the oat milk not being gluten free which wasn’t great as I had a milk gluten attack the next 2 days… the waitress was really apologetic and I completely understand that mistakes can happen but allergens are something that need to be approached with extra caution along with all staff learning in depth about allergens & intolerances. I would visit again however I’d check the packaging allergen info myself.

We had a late lunch here. I had a veggie sausage bagel with a hot chocolate and my wife had a roast beetroot salad and a cappuccino. The bagel was ok but the hot chocolate was just warm. The beetroot salad was described as including feta, mango and lentils. My wife said it was tasty but she struggled to find any feta and there were just a few small fragments of fruit. Her cappuccino was barely warm. While we were there, someone else brought a drink back saying it was cold. The service was friendly and helpful and the physical structure is designed to feel organic. Perhaps we came at a bad time but we're not motivated to go back.

I ordered a bacon roll with ketchup before I went shopping in Rajani’s (where Carol’s Kitchen is located) and it took next no time to get served. At the time of posting, £2.40. Staff we’re courteous and the venue is clean. It almost reminded me of a canteen we had years ago!! The food was good and I’d eat there again.

This was until very recently Dela, a café restaurant. They still do coffee to take away, but most of the place is now a deli. Decent espresso. Service is a bit slow but I suspect that this is teething troubles as they try to work things out. What used to be the restaurant kitchen is now making food to take away - I tried the mushroom rolls (like sausage rolls, except with mushrooms) Very nice.

One of the better chains. Good coffee. Little character or atmosphere, exactly as expected.

So much to like in this friendly pub. Staff nice, good beers, nice layout and great garden. But…..the food is disappointing. The pizzas are ok but the rest really should be better. Feel bad writing this because I love the place. Would be great if they could upgrade the food a bit.
