Really good pub friendly staff great food selection but the best was the lagers are served in a chilled pint glass just right on the day visited it was a warm one.

It was a great place to meet up with some long-time friends.

Having checked both Google and the pub website site that the pub was open until 11 p.m. I arrived at the pub at 9.45 p.m. on Thursday only to find they were closed. Very disappointed at the total lack of regard for potential customers.

I visit The Beehive twice a week with my 95 year old Dad, who enjoys a pint of Butcombe & a few games of Cribbage! A very popular, friendly place to spend a couple of hours. If you want a Sunday Lunch you'll need to book. Food always looks delicious, I've only had soup which was piping hot and blooming lovely 😋 Desserts look fab, good size portions too.

Absolutely brilliant staff- shout out to the wonderful girls behind the bar when they helped out with a medical situation and big ups to Reece who is also a student paramedic, he stepped up and was very professional- the management should be very proud of their lovely, helpful and reassuring team. The chef also went above and beyond to cater for my allergies- food was gurt lush.

What a lovely spot for Sunday lunch. Food and staff are amazing. Would highly recommend!

Went for Sunday lunch in the beehive today with family. Food was hot and lamb cooked to perfection. Staff were lovely aswell. Will definitely continue returning

. Me gusta y admiro lo que este pub ha hecho para unir a la comunidad local, pero mi reseña se basa puramente en nuestra experiencia de almuerzo de domingo. Solíamos almorzar los domingos aquí quincenalmente cuando era administrado y dirigido por dos parejas de Europa del Este. Al menos el 50 % de los comensales en ese momento eran igualmente regulares. La comida en ese momento era «más allá de lo histórico» (como habría dicho el difunto gran Michael Winner! ) ; sabores y calidad increíbles a precios razonables. ¿Adónde fueron? Nos decepcionó el Topside de carne de res más barato de la nueva oferta (que había sido solomillo antes) y por lo que empezamos a visitar otros lugares en su lugar. Hace unas semanas decidimos después de muchos años ‘darle otra oportunidad a la Colmena’ para el almuerzo dominical. Mucho ha cambiado la distribución de la habitación principal, aunque si a mejor, no estoy seguro. Las mesas están bastante llenas juntas. Siempre fue bastante básico remesas y asientos y eso no ha cambiado realmente, solo una configuración diferente. Reservamos para 12: 15 pm y como es solo un viaje de 10 minutos de nosotros que fue genial. El aparcamiento era fácil. Estaba ocupado y eso fue bueno de ver. El menú estaba bien. Todo lo que pedimos era 'bueno', pero nada era particularmente sobresaliente. La carne estaba todavía arriba. La salsa era básica. No entiendo por qué siguen usando carne barata. Por £ 25 por dos platos podemos tener (y tenemos) el almuerzo dominical más excepcional en The Pumphouse (también a 10 minutos de nosotros, aunque en la dirección opuesta) y también con fácil aparcamiento. Y el solomillo de carne es increíble. Los dos cursos solo funcionan de 50 p a 1 £ : 50 más que la Colmena (según cuál de sus entrantes elijas). Si pueden cubrir el costo de los buenos ingredientes, ¿por qué no puede La Colmena? Estoy seguro de que valdría la pena a largo plazo. Didnt eat here today but have done so several times in the past and can say have enjoyed every meal whether a Sunday Lunch or something on an evening or a Saturday lunch love everything about this Pub the Landlords Rufus and Dawn and all the staff as very polite and accomadating great for private functions be it a wedding anniversary Birthday Baby shower or a wake Rufus and Dawn will make sure everything is great. Highly Recommended

Couldn’t fault the service and the food was good. Unfortunately the whole dining experience was spoiled by the fact that there was no heating anywhere! It’s late February and we were so cold it spoiled the occasion.

Lovely pub. Have been here a few times for sport or functions- but it’s the first time I sat down for lunch today. Really impressed with the food, decent size portions, fairly priced. Ingredients used were really high quality- the steak I had on top of my linguine would have been a great dish by itself. The small plates we had were amazing too. Staff were all lovely and attentive, making sure that we had a seat near the radiator to keep our very new baby warm.

Food was okay, the atmosphere was okay at the front but as you went round the back just got worse and worse. Felt cold and empty. Service was alright. It's nothing special but the food was nice.

Servicio increíble para nuestras Madres Despiertas! Después de deliberar sobre algunos lugares cerca del crematorio y hablar con los propietarios estábamos seguros de que este era el lugar correcto. El servicio fue excepcional, una variedad de alimentos para el buffet. El personal estaba disponible para atender a nuestros huéspedes. El lugar era precioso y espacioso, con una sección privada del lugar disponible solo para nosotros. Absolutamente recomendaría para cualquiera que quiera reservar un velatorio. (Ps la comida servida a otros huéspedes se veía muy bien!)

Reservamos para ir aquí a almorzar con amigos después de leer las críticas, pensamos que sonaba bien, desafortunadamente no fue así. Habíamos reservado para 1. 30 y teníamos confirmación en nuestro teléfono. Entramos y le dijimos nuestro nombre y hora a un hombre que estaba en el bar, fue muy grosero y dijo que nuestra reserva era para las 12. 30 Pero nosotros te hemos guardado la mesa. La mesa que nos dieron era muy fría y calada porque la gente que estaba teniendo un velatorio en el pub seguía entrando y saliendo a fumar. Esta función hizo el pub muy ruidoso y tuvimos una larga espera por la comida. No fue una experiencia cómoda para almorzar y coger con viejos amigos. No volveremos

We really like the Beehive, lovely staff, clean, warm. My only issue is lack of vegetarian food. Used to do a few options, now it's a pizza or burger, bloody yippee.

Me and the family booked into this place for food at 2:30, all be it with the football being played on the multiple TV screens we where seated in front of everyone watching the game when we could clearly see there where seats in a quiet dining area! We finally managed to get seated and chose our meals to be ordered only be told 2 of the 3 meals we wanted arent available!? Shouldn't we have been told this before we got seated? Poor show I say. We left and went else where for food.

What a gem, this was our first to the Beehive and although there were several Christmas parties being catered for we were welcomed and found a quiet table in the Conservatory. The food was excellent, served on hot plates and the presentation second to no none. Excellent staff, we will be visiting frequently in the New Year.

Just had an excellent Christmas party here for 12 people. The food was really good and far exceeded expectations. As well as being excellent value. We had a couple last minute cancellations, and the Landlord was very accomodating, and although pre-order was required we were not charged for these last minute changes. Service was quick and efficient, even with the place being very busy. Thanks for a great Experience!

My Airbnb is across the road from the Beehive, good beer and food, bar staff and owner very friendly.

Food was surprisingly good and our server was very attentive/keen to make sure she'd got our order right as there was a group of us. Lacking in atmosphere but would definitely recommend for the menu quality and choice.

Bit noisy bit hey, it's a pub right

Fish & chips was huge but tasteless. (Not cod)! Wheelchair access was difficult because of a huge bin that was over the path which meant the chair had to go over pebbles!

Had an excellent sea bass and king prawn dish with a rich tomato and chorizo sauce. The menu is extensive and a great mix of pub grub and more fanciful recipes. Lovely service and garden to boot

Muy cálida bienvenida y buena comida. Teníamos un perro con nosotros tan amasado para sentarse en la zona del bar que estaba absolutamente bien. El personal incluso trajo a nuestro perro un tazón de agua y había golosinas para perros en el bar. Qué bar tan amable. Ojalá hubiera tomado fotos de las hamburguesas y el plato de pescado, impresionante.

An absolutely lovely pub with great food and plenty of available parking. OAP portion of fish and chips was substantial and good value for money. Well prepared, and everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. Will be back!

Lovely menu with something for all tastes. Excellent value for money with friendly and thoughtful service. The garden and lower terrace are great spaces with shade and I’d highly recommend the Beehive. Would be a good idea to book at busy times.

Brilliant Sunday lunch at the Bee Hive, great portions, great quality and superb taste. The pub was busy with family groups, younger groups and had an excellent atmosphere. Busy, fun pub with great service and a wide menu of delicious food. Lots of outside areas. Specials menu. Kids having a blast in the garden on the last day of school but also quieter areas inside and out.

Great pub!! Highly recommended. Beautiful garden. Parking. Excellent staff. Went here for a funeral wake, we were met by friendly and compassionate staff. We were in a bright and lovely room. Plenty of toilets. Everything was clean. Buffet was delicious. Faultless.

Great food and a really good atmosphere. Came with family and friends to eat pizza (which is amazing by the way) and watch England. From the moment we stepped in every single member of staff were so welcoming and kind and couldn't do enough for us aswell as the kids . You guys are great . 😊

Really beautiful place but I felt like the food was mid. We had a problem with a vegan burger coming out as a meat burger too, which was crazy. Like really thank goodness we noticed and nothing was eaten. When we asked, they confirmed it was vegan, but it was 100% meat upon further inspection The manager apologised but there was no compensation, usually a mistake that big should be rectified

Precioso pub tuvo una comida el domingo 19 que puede que nunca tuvo el asado, pero he estado antes y uno de los mejores que he tenido fue para el pescado con patatas fritas y mi compañero la hamburguesa muy buena y salió tubería caliente encantador jardín de cerveza en 3 etapas que la mayoría de la gente aprovechó al máximo el clima soleado caliente todo el personal era excelente muy educado y con una sonrisa mención especial a Dan que era muy educado y siempre comprobando que todo estaba bien con nuestra comida volveremos.

The Beehive has to be one of the friendliest and welcoming pubs in Bristol. The food is good and always good real ales on hand pump, normally including a well-kept favourite Butcombe. Recommended.

Excellent food & service. We had prawns for starters which was exceptional. Vegan burger was good with a smoky flavour & chocolate brownie was fantastic to finish off the dinner

We go here a few times a year. It offers by far the best value meals in the city. Even the half portions of the roasts are very generous. Food is delicious. Staff always attentive and cheerful.

If you are thinking of holding your wake here 100% book it. Staff are friendly, understanding, and helpful. The food was excellent and very reasonable.

This is a busy community pub which is well used by locals. For a Monday night it was busy and I was glad that we had booked or I’m not sure they’d have been able to fit us in. It was great to see the variety of groups/families and community events happening. Another draw for us was the ease of parking. The Bee Hive has a large car park and easy access into the pub. I took my elderly parents here this and we had a lovely time. The menu includes a couple of OAP priced items in the extensive choice and I really could not fault the service that we had - a lovely team! Our food was well presented and very tasty. So often salads are not done well but my mother had the Chicken Caesar Salad which was fabulous. My dad polished his Fish and Chips off too! Thanks for a lovely relaxed evening. We will definitely return.

Stopped off for a quiet drink and watch the golf on the big screen. A quiet place with very friendly and helpful staff.

A slightly overcooked vegan burger left a charred taste but the sweet potato chips were 😋

Sunday Roast - absolutely excellent. The Bread & Butter pudding the best we’ve ever had - well done Chef ! We will definitely being going back.

This was an ideal location for a wake after my Mother's Funeral. It's sad that more didn't come along. Though each to their,I suppose.
