Gemma was fantastic! Looked after me and my crib playing friends all afternoon. She's the best.

Great breakfast and brunch spot, large seating area inside.

We arrived at 6.20pm for a 6.30pm table and were sat promptly. The staff were very attentive - almost to a point of it being overly so - we had bread and olives whilst we were chatting and looking over the menu. As a table of seven we were not looking to rush our meal and leave quickly and it wasn’t suggested we needed to vacate our table by a certain time. The restaurant around 7pm was not particularly busy either. It had filled up by 8pm and it began to feel as though the kitchen itself was overwhelmed by the number of covers they had to produce. This may go some way towards the staffs keen attitude to get our orders in earlier. We all ordered starters, mains and desserts. Overall the food was as you would expect, a standard above perhaps a harvester, but below that of an independent. Flavours were fairly basic and the starters were halloumi fries, croquettes and so on so easy and speedy to get out of the kitchen. The mains around our tables were simple steaks and two half chickens. Steaks were as expected and cooked to relative individual requests. The two chickens however were dry and not acceptable. The manager dealt with this without issue, taking one of the meals into the kitchen and coming back to say the chef had agreed they were over cooked. We were offered another or an alternative, however by the time one would have arrived the rest of the table would be finished so we declined. We were not charged for the two meals and the manager gave a complimentary round of drinks so handled it really well. I have previously eaten breakfast at this venue and it was very nice, but also a lot quieter, so perhaps the kitchen is better suited with a lower pressure situation. All in all with drinks the bill was over £450 after discounts. I would eat here again in a breakfast or brunch environment, but would not look at it as an option for future evening meals.

Had a delicious roast booked last minute with a friend on a Sunday. Service was excellent, staff were friendly. Will definitely return.

Not aware of cribbage match involving there own team regular change of landlord leeding to no community spirit.

Visited for a family birthday meal. Service was very good and clearly a big pull is the cocktail menu. The cocktails were well presented and interesting. But I can’t relate to the other rave reviews about the food. The menu is very limited - basically burgers, mini pizzas or salad for a main course. Starters were a bit more interesting but nothing special and at the top end price wise. In the main indoor area - if you like a noisy atmosphere then you will be fine, but the music made conversation difficult. All in all I’d say distinctly average and the food is definitely not worth going out of your way for.

Great performance by mostly G & S this evening brilliant singers and loved the costumes. Special mention for Jeff Trim and the Catherine Tate lookalike who were exceptional tonight.

Lovely. We popped in and managed to get a table. The open sandwiches are stunning, the wine was perfect. Not overly expensive and lovely kind service. The other customers were nice, it was buzzy but not too noisy to chat and relax.

I popped in today for the first time & it will be the last. The staff couldn't be bothered to listen to orders properly, with everyone having to repeat themselves. When orders were done, they weren't telling the customer so coffees were just sat waiting. My coffee was awful. It tasted like day old stewed coffee & my bacon bap was stodgey with 1 slice of bacon. For the price I paid I'd have expected more than 1 slice. People may mock it, but give me a Greggs breakfast bacon roll & coffee any day. Half the price & it all tastes fresh.

Great food and service! I love that you can "build your own breakfast" and also the fact that the breakfasts are still available at lunch time which is a rare find these days. Will definitely go back when I'm next in the area!

Busqué un pub diferente para el almuerzo del domingo y me encontré con el Waggon & Horses , asado increíble del domingo ... los spuds asados excepcionales , comida a un precio razonable y porciones de buen tamaño , si quieres un asado decente del domingo , reserve aquí seguro . No te decepcionarás...

The food and drink were incredible but the best part of our experience was our waitress Liv - she was chatty, attentive and welcoming. We will return just for her service

Nos gustó el ambiente de la cafetería, pero desafortunadamente la oferta de café y pastel fue extremadamente decepcionante. Los pasteles eran pequeños y caros, y el café era minúsculo. Tan pronto como vi al barista haciendo el café en las tazas diminutas ya me había decidido que no volveríamos allí de nuevo. Terrible relación calidad-precio. Hubiera pensado que repetir negocios es importante para una cafetería - así no es como se hace para atraer clientes de vuelta.

I popped into Eats 101 for a breakfast and enjoyed it very much. The husband and wife team were very friendly and helpful. This is not a "fancy" establishment but do not let the décor put you off.
