Costa Coffee in Wokingham

The new manager (?) seems to be on the ball. Coffee is good.

Usually, a pleasant venue for a relaxing read, accompanied by an excellent coffee. However, on Sunday the two staff seemed determined to empty the place early. One standing behind the counter, the other mopping the floor (badly) and shouting to each other almost nonstop for an hour. The shouted exchanges included a discussion as to whether they should tell arriving customers that they were in the process of closing, so the pair of them could get away early. Regarding cleanliness - the floor where we sat had a sticky spillage on it, fair enough, but the male member of staff seemed to have mastered the art of mopping up without the need to move a single chair or table - a real time saver, but hardly cleaning!

Had a visit with my family today. Not sure what has happened but the cake we had was unbelievably thin and small at nearly £3 a slice, dry and not good!!!

The atmosphere is very relaxed. Good cup of coffee.

Food and drinks were perfect..service was excellent too, very friendly staff. Our visit was spoilt by a "toddler" absolutely screaming. Other people's reactions were the same as mine...

Friendly staff and nice location to watch out the window

This Costa shop is situated on a busy road junction with narrow pavements. Consequently the view isn’t great, but traffic noise isn’t intrusive. Free on street parking for up to an hour is available in Station Road including one disabled space. It’s about 50m away without needing to cross the main road but pavements in the area are narrow. The cafe is standard Costa. Varied seating from benches to table and chairs in twos or fours. Some people were working on laptops, so suitable for that. Service, food and drink to a reasonable standard. Wide access manually opening entrance door. Accessible aisle to counter and tables suited to wheelchair users. Two toilets at the rear, one of which is fully accessible. Although quite busy during my visit it was easy to find a table and overall the cafe and toilet were in good shape.

Shop is so clean, delicious flat white and fabulous manner from the manager. Thank you costa Twyford team

Went into Costa Coffee today in Twyford in the High Street only to be abused by member of staff about bringing in a service dog. He said only guide dogs are allowed but I tryed to explain that a service dog is the same as a guide dog. The guide dog is just for someone who can’t see and he was shouting at me from the other side of the counter and I felt embarrassed then also Another member of the public got involved and it got completely out of hand so he was very rude and I shall not be going back into the store again. Also, he was asking me personal details why I had a service dog I don’t have to give this information she had her jacket and I had her license with me. Also the gentleman didn’t apologise we come into this Costa Coffee near enough daily, but we shall not be coming in again. I think Costa needs to do a training day for staff to understand the service dog policies. And not all disabilities are visible Also, the gentleman in question kept saying you’re sitting in the store aren’t you I haven’t kicked you out yet

I've been here a few times as I live near the area and the staff there are interesting. Does a guy I don't know his name but I think he might be new but I have seen him for a few months now. He doesn't remember your order very well. I am a patient guy so I just carry on with my day but some other people behind me when I was ordering we're getting quite impatient. Overall it's a nice little Costa in twyford so.

Great Costa, decent coffee and when you order via the app in advance the coffee normally arrives before you do.

Had discounted sandwich, lettuce was manky, coffee OK. Poor man serving was rushed off his feet. More staff needed

The staff in here used to be amazing not sure what’s happened but the Staff now are so so rude they tried to charge me eat in when eating out there is quite a difference in price. When I questioned the price I got told her computer won’t change price. How is that my fault It was easily changed but she couldn’t be bothered to ask. U don’t overcharge people just because they can’t be bothered to work the till out. I wouldn’t come here if I didn’t like coffee so much. Such a shame on such a lovely village

What a shambles of a place staff are rude and don't listen the tables and floor are dirty I don't think it's cleaned regularly I will not return here.

Friendly staff who remember my drink order. There are usually enough spaces that you can sir in at Lunch.

Does no one clean here? Food on the floor, dried dauce on the table (so probably been there overnight), kid's hand prints all over the inside of the windows... WTAF?!

The girls at the counter are so friendly, personable and they know my classic hot chocolate order. I can't thank them enough for being so lovely during this difficult times. Great staff, keep it up!

Rude staff and management. They misheard the order and then tried to blame it on us. Total lack of customer service. If I hadn't insisted, they would have made us take the drinks we hadn't ordered. Not coming back any time soon.

De nuevo abierto, logré finalmente regresar a Twyford Costa, ahora sirve café y pasteles socialmente distanciados. La selección decente de pasteles y bocadillos y el servicio fue rápido y educado. Por lo general, tienen flujo para tomar café, pero todos son muy seguros y bien organizados.

Una cafetería decente que está bastante bien presentada. Bien decorado y se mantuvo bastante limpio y ordenado. Una selección razonable de alimentos y bebidas y es más grande por dentro de lo que piensas desde la carretera. El personal parece bastante amable en comparación con algunos establecimientos similares.

A decent coffee shop that is quite well presented. Well decorated and it kept quite clean and tidy. A reasonable food and drinks selection and it is bigger inside that you woukd think from the road. The staff seem quite friendly in comparison to some similar establishments.

.......I visit occasionally! No on-site car parking but some street parking (time restricted) locally. Was a busy mid week morning but service was prompt an efficient and coffees made just as we like them. Usual selection of eat’s, but these days, am thinking Costa has lost some ground to its competitors on this front!

Perfectly serviceable coffee shop. Nothing distinctive. Competent staff (friendliness is variable). Usual selection of teas, coffees and cakes but also some warm food options (packaged and heated, not made fresh). Newspapers available to read. In centre of Twyford, 100m from Waitrose and Tesco Express.

Nice coffee shop not easy to park though

Visited on 20/08/19 for three take away coffees. We were served quickly and the coffees were perfect!

Stopped at Costa Twyford today. Set right on the junction in the centre of town this branch is well located. As it is also pms corner this branch is light with plenty of window seats with a view of the High Street. Usual Costa menu and service.

One of the best Costa's I've been to.

All good except for the noise. The coffee machines are so loud it is difficult to make a call or have a peaceful conversation with someone.

This Costa keeps changing its staff with the result that the quality of coffee you receive can vary substantially.

I was a week ago, I went almost every morning when the old staff was there. The bar service has changed since the manager changed. The male bartenders are very nice and smiling, even a bartender with blue eyes, it's really fun. After months I returned to the bar a week ago and the manager was very rude to me and my girlfriend, too much power of authority towards her staff too

Great place for coffee, would recommend!

Always friendly and welcoming, the staff make this the best chain coffee shop in Twyford.

It wasn’t very busy at the front counter which meant I was served straight away. A female staff member started my order and the Male staff member finished the order whilst the female made my coffee. Both friendly and polite and by them both serving me it meant I got my drink and panini promptly. No issues at all. Would recommend.

An edit to my original review: Had a coffee the other day which was barely warm, let alone hot. Disappointing. Original review: A regular stopping place for a coffee in Twyford. Staff are usually very friendly and the coffee is good. Quite a small Costa and today (Tuesday mid-morning) it was very crowded - still very rapid service though even though it was so busy.

The staff are amazing and the quality of everything they do is outstanding! Would highly recommend!

Visit here occasionally as a meeting place. Coffee & service always good with plenty of nice treats to eat!!

This is a particularly nice Costa, friendly staff with a subtle village feel about it. It's clean and tidy, with ample seating. It's busy, and often only 1 staff member at busiest times, but they are clearly used to it, and do get the job done. If you like a Costa (I live on the stuff!) and you're in Twyford, this is where you will want to visit.

Excellent Costa! Generally, my experiences with Costa have been at busy, busy train stations and is for take away. The Costa in Twyford is located on High Street and has lots of seating making it a nice atmosphere for a relaxed breakfast. Perfect coffee on 2 occasions and a great breakfast with lots of choices on another. Very friendly barista who makes awesome, awesome coffee (same guy all 3 times).

This has been a welcome addition to Twyford as a regular known brand that makes it an ideal meeting place that's very friendly and relaxed .never too noisy even when busy. For a high street branding in this location it feels like its a part of a local community ..

I use several Coffee Houses across the Country and am probably in here two or three times in a month. The noticeable thing here seems to be staff retention and they are also very friendly and give the feeling that they remember me. Good relaxing atmosphere.

Standard Costa fare. It's a nice location and the staff are always friendly.

It always lovely drink, all clean and very happy helpful staff. The food is always fresh, reasonable price, and comfy chair.

Terrible got locked in the toilet for three hours and the man in the cubicle next to me did a huge fart and I fainted because it smelt so bad. The coffe was good though.
