We have been visiting for 10-15 years, new owners since Covid. Sorry to say, it’s lost its appeal. Shabby room, mouldy window frames, mould on shower door, toilet difficult to flush. Bed side tables that were so unstable they were unusable. No maintenance on site to remedy or staff to swap. Unfortunately food in pub both in the evening and breakfast was very disappointing.

We had a fabulous lunch at the William IV pub. Attentive and friendly welcoming staff...We started with the exceptional Pine cured trout for my wife and the delicate delicious crab ravioli for myself. Our taste buds were tingling, then onto the mains, asparagus, black olive and burrata risotto for my wife, which she loved and a ribeye steak for me with Café de Paris butter and boy it didn't disappoint! It was the finest steak I've had for quite some time, for me it was perfection on a plate, glistening, juicy with the fat perfectly rendered. All washed down with a very good bottle of Viognier. Highly recommend this country side gem.

Was shocked at the prices to start with, thought, its got some good reviews will give it a ago while in the area. I'm a bit fussy and don't like beans or tomato, so asked for hash browns instead as they don't come with the breakfast (another thing I was shocked about considering the price they didn't come as standard on the hunger breakfast). Was charged for the one hash brown they gave. Personally I thought very expensive for what it is and quite greasy. However gave 2 starts as the sausages were lovely. People walking in top less, thought they'd at least be asked to put a shirt on. Would I come here again? No. We don't live in the area so maybe local prices are all like this. But in Tidworth, you'd pay £8-£9 and can get an all you can eat breakfast with drinks for £11.

Really friendly welcome. Kitchen and cafe area were very clean. The garden extremely tidy, must be great for a spot to sit outside on the way to your summer holiday destination. Food was excellent. Very fresh, not greasy at all. The toilets for the most part were clean except no toilet seats in either of the gent’s cubicles. If you use sat nav with postcode to find, be careful not to drive past as it will take you 100m past the cafe.

Do not have a party here! Most disgusting work ethic ever. We had a party for 10 kids booked at wildwoods then to go onto the caffe for buffet and cakes which was all pre booked. After we finished at wildwoods we all walked over to the caffe for the party and it was all shut. We rung the Contact number to see what was going on and the lady said I am IlI I am not coming in today. We asked if she could of contacted to let us know she said sorry i am Ill I forgot to let you know.

Goodbye Goose and hello Annare. Lovely fresh makeover complete with very friendly mum and son team. We were served by the son who apologised for the delay in our coffee. He told us it had been ready but was sitting behind the counter whilst he served a couple of walk-ins...not really what we wanted to hear. We enjoyed a delicious fresh home-baked lasagne and will definately be returning however they serve Illy coffee which is rather too strong for my liking so will try tea next time.

Firstly, the staff were very careful with my order as I wanted oat milk rather than normal milk and they obviously take great care over people with allergies. So all credit to them for that. The young man who served us was really lovely and helpful. Rest of staff were ok but not that friendly or helpful. There was an icy wind blasting through as doors kept being left open and we discovered that the one leading out of the coffee shop by the toilet had been left open all the time so no wonder we were freezing. Also we discovered by accident that you had to pay for the car park. There is a small notice as you come from the larger car park further round that it is quite easy to miss. You pay by QR code or you can pay in the shop. No one checks whether you have paid for your car parking. It appears briefly on the tv screen in the cafe and staff weren’t that helpful about it. I tried the QR code as we were leaving but it didn’t work. I checked with one of the staff who said if it hadn’t worked then to leave it. But she commented at the end that if people didn’t start paying for the car park then they wouldn’t be able to stay open. Frankly they need to make the need to pay for the car park far more obvious and make it easier to do so on buying your food in the cafe. Staff should prompt people if they want to ensure people are paying.

We had a lovely time, the staff were very helpful and attentive (we were a party of 12). Two small things made the mark down from 5 stars to 4. Five items on the menu were already sold out (at 1pm) and the food came out bit by bit with one person not getting theirs until some of others had actually finished their meal. Also the 2 children's meals were nearly the last to come out - it would be good to get the kids eating first, or the adults can't concentrate on their food. Otherwise we had a lovely time and we will be visiting again.
